  • Javascript or CSS hover not working in Safari and Chrome

    - by PAZtech
    I have a problem with a script for a image gallery. The problem seems to only occur on Safari and Chrome, but if I refresh the page I get it to work correctly - weird! Correct function: The gallery has a top bar, which if you hover over it, it will display a caption. Below sits the main image. At the bottom there is another bar that is a reversal of the top bar. When you hover over it, it will display thumbnails of the gallery. The problem: In Safari and Chrome, the thumbnail holder will not display. In fact, it doesn't even show it as an active item (or a rollover). But oddly enough, if you manually refresh the page it begins to work correctly for the rest of the time you view the page. Once you have left the page and return the same error occurs again and you have to go through the same process. Here's one of the pages to look at: link text Here's the CSS: #ThumbsGutter { background: url(../Images/1x1.gif); background: url(/Images/1x1.gif); height: 105px; left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 0px; width: 754px; z-index: 2; } #ThumbsHolder { display: none; } #ThumbsTable { left: 1px; } #Thumbs { background-color: #000; width: 703px; } #Thumbs ul { list-style: none; margin: 0; padding: 0; } #Thumbs ul li { display: inline; } .Thumbs ul li a { border-right: 1px solid #fff; border-top: 1px solid #fff; float: left; left: 1px; } .Thumbs ul li a img { filter: alpha(opacity=50); height: 104px; opacity: .5; width: 140px; } .Thumbs ul li a img.Hot { filter: alpha(opacity=100); opacity: 1; } Here is the javascript: //Variables var globalPath = ""; var imgMain; var gutter; var holder; var thumbs; var loadingImage; var holderState; var imgCount; var imgLoaded; var captionHolder; • jQuery call not working after Isotope filter is implemented

    - by user1374796
    I'm currently using the isotope plugin for a fluid layout, I can successfully filter the content, but after the filters have been called, the rest of my jQuery calls fail to work. Bear with me, I'm still new to jQuery but here's my code: jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery(".pics-hidden").hide(); jQuery('.pics').click(function() { jQuery('#div'+jQuery(this).attr('rarget')).addClass('pics').removeClass('pics-hidden').delay(300).fadeIn(100); jQuery('#projectimages').isotope('reloadItems').isotope(); return false; }); var $container = $('#projectimages'); $container.isotope({ itemSelector: '.pics', animationEngine: 'css', masonry: { columnWidth: 4 } }); $('#menu a').click(function(){ var selector = $(this).attr('data-filter'); $container.isotope({ filter: selector }); return false; }); }); The filter works fine, as does the ('pics') click function, BUT after the filter has been called, the ('.pics') click function now fails to work. Is there a reason for this? Or a way to solve it? Tried all sorts, nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

  • jQuery - .Ready fires on div tag not in the page

    - by Anders Juul
    Dear all, I have implemented below function in a separate .js script file which I load in my main page (Asp.net mvc). The call back to server is rather costly but ok if specifically requested on the sub-page / content page on which my div tag needs to be filled. My problem is that the code runs on every page, including pages where the div tag is not present. How can I remedy my code? Any comments welcome, Thanks, Anders, Denmark jQuery("divStatWrapper").ready(function() { jQuery.getJSON("/Statistics/GetPointsDevelopment", function(json) { jQuery("#divStatWrapper #divStatLoading").fadeOut(1000); var jsonPoints = new Array(); jQuery.each(json.Points, function(i, item) { jsonPoints.push(item.PlayerPoints ); }); jsonPoints.reverse(); var api = new jGCharts.Api(); jQuery('<img>') .attr('src', api.make({ data : jsonPoints, type : "lc", size : "600x250" })) .appendTo("#divStatContents"); jQuery("#divStatWrapper #divStatContents").fadeIn(1000); }); });

  • jQuery Tooltip positioning issues

    - by Nimbuz
    HTML: <a href="#" rel="tooltip-1">Open Tooltip</a> <div id="tooltip-1">Tooltip Content</div> jQuery: xOffset = $('#tooltip-1').height() + 10; yOffset = -30 ; $("a[rel=tooltip-1]").hover(function(e){ this.t = this.attr("href"); $("body").append("<p id='tooltip'>"+ this.t +"</p>"); $("#tooltip") .css("top",(e.pageY - xOffset) + "px") .css("left",(e.pageX + yOffset) + "px") .fadeIn("fast"); }, function(){ this.t = ""; $("#tooltip").remove(); }); $("a[rel=tooltip-1]").mousemove(function(e){ $("#tooltip-1") .css("top",(e.pageY - xOffset) + "px") .css("left",(e.pageX + yOffset) + "px"); }); Two Issues: Tooltip div (#tooltip-1) doesn't hide on mouseout. Since the tooltip div will always have the same ID as REL, I'd like to modify the above jQuery so that it takes target DIV ID automatically. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • jQuery UI - addClass removeClass - CSS values are stuck

    - by Jason D
    Hi, I'm trying to do a simple animation. You show the div. It animates correctly. You hide the div. Correct. You show the div again. It shows but there is no animation. It is stuck at the value of when you first interrupted it. So somehow the interpolation CSS that is happening during [add|remove]Class is getting stuck there. The second time around, the [add|remove]Class is actually running, but the css it's setting from the class is getting ignored (I think being overshadowed). How can I fix this WITHOUT resorting to .animate and hard-coded style values? The whole point was to put the animation end point in a css class. Thanks! <!doctype html> <style type="text/css"> div { width: 400px; height: 200px; } .green { background-color: green; } </style> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8/jquery-ui.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $('#show').bind({ click: function() { showAndRun() } }) $('#hide').bind({ click: function() { $('div').stop(true, false).fadeOut('slow') } }) function showAndRun() { function pulse() { $('div').removeClass('green', 2000, function() { $(this).addClass('green', 2000, pulse) }) } $('div').stop(true, false).hide().addClass('green').fadeIn('slow', pulse) } }) </script> <input id="show" type="button" value="show" /><input id="hide" type="button" value="hide" /> <div style="display: none;"></div>

  • Jquery image preview plugin issue...

    - by Pandiya Chendur
    I have a problem with an image preview that comes up when you hover over a thumbnail. I can change the distance between the preview and the cursor, but if a thumbnail is close to the side of the window, the preview cant fit and you only see part of it.. hope that makes sense... is there a way to make it so that if the preview doesnt fit, it will show up on the other side of the cursor?.... Here is the script... this.imagePreview = function() { /* CONFIG */ xOffset = 10; yOffset = 30; // these 2 variable determine popup's distance from the cursor // you might want to adjust to get the right result /* END CONFIG */ $("a.preview").hover(function(e) { this.t = this.title; this.title = ""; var c = (this.t != "") ? "<br/>" + this.t : ""; $("body").append("<p id='preview'> <img src='" + this.href + "' alt='Image preview' />" + c + "</p>"); $("#preview") .css("top", (e.pageY - xOffset) + "px") .css("left", (e.pageX + yOffset) + "px") .fadeIn("slow"); }, function() { this.title = this.t; $("#preview").remove(); }); $("a.preview").mousemove(function(e) { $("#preview") .css("top", (e.pageY - xOffset) + "px") .css("left", (e.pageX + yOffset) + "px"); }); }; // starting the script on page load $(document).ready(function() { imagePreview(); }); EDIT: see what i am getting, http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/4991/browserpreviewf.jpg my image at the right corner of the page so when i hover the img my preview goes even further right that is besides the page scrollbar half the preview is available.... How to get the preview to the left of the cursor..

  • Problems calling Cufon.Replace from within a function

    - by Kenny Bones
    Hi, I'm doing a content loader and the content that gets loaded needs some Cufon action. And that doesn't work right now since I only apply Cufon when the initial page loads. And not the newly loaded content. Now, shouldn't this be working? function loadContent() { $('#content').load(toLoad,'',showNewContent()) Cufon.replace('h1, h2, h3, h4, .menuwrapper', { fontFamily: 'advent'});} Or am I not getting something? I've also tried calling Cufon.Replace right after the procedure that calls the loadContent function, but that only applies the Cufon the next time I click a link. $('.dynload').live('click', function(){ var toLoad = $(this).attr('href')+' #content'; $('#content').fadeOut('fast',loadContent); $('#ajaxloader').fadeIn('normal'); window.location.hash = $(this).attr('href').substr(0,$(this).attr('href').length); Cufon.replace('h1, h2, h3, h4, .menuwrapper', { fontFamily: 'advent'}); How can I make sure Cufon is applied as soon as possible after loading new content? I was thinking about calling Cufon.replace the moment before the new content is faded in. But this doesn't seem to be working.

  • jQuery not and classes

    - by Giles B
    Hi Guys, I have 2 anchor links (a.selector) and when one is clicked it has a class applied to it of 'active-arrow' and the click also removes the class of the same name from the other anchor as well as lowering the opacity to 0.2. I then want to have a fade effect when the user hovers over the anchor that doesn't have 'active-arrow' applied to it so that it goes to full opacity when mouseenters and back to 0.2 when mouseleaves. The problem im having is that both .not and :not don't seem to be working as expected, the hover effect works but if I click on the anchor whilst hovering the 'active-arrow' class is applied but when mouseleaves the opacity is faded down to 0.2 again even though the 'active-arrow' class is applied. Also the hover then doesn't work for the other a link which has had 'active-arrow' removed. Bit of a hard one to explain so heres some code that hopefully helps a bit. *//If a.selector doesn't have the class 'active-arrow' then run the hoverFade function* $("a.selector").not(".active-arrow").hoverFade(); //Functions for first element $('a.selector-1').click(function () { $('a.selector-2').removeClass('active-arrow'); //Remove background image from corresponding element $('ul#storage-items-2').fadeOut(1200).addClass('hide'); //Fade out then hide corresponding list $(this).addClass('active-arrow', 'fast'); //Add background image to current element $('ul#storage-items-1').removeClass('hide').fadeIn(1800); //Unhide and fade in the list $('a.selector-2').fadeTo(500, 0.2); //Fade corresponding element $(this).fadeTo(800, 1);//Fade this element to full opacity }); I only included the code for teh first anchor (a.selector-1) as the code for the second anchor is identical but just changes the class names to a.selector-2. Also the hoverFade function is in a seperate file so we can re-use it. jQuery.fn.hoverFade = function() { return this.each(function(){ $(this).hover( function () { $(this).fadeTo(500, 0.8); }, function () { $(this).fadeTo(500, 0.2); }); }); } Each anchor link fades in and fades out a UL as well. Any help is most appreciated Thanks Giles

  • Fade out when user leaves page — jquery

    - by Tom Julian Hume
    I have some simple page transitions that fade in, once the user has landed. However, I'm also trying to make the same page fade out, when the user leaves. I have found a few solutions, but they appeared to use delay(). Are there any that don't? Thanks for any help, (I'm new to this, mind!) Tom :) I am currently using this code: $(document).ready( function(){ $( 'body' ).fadeIn(2000); $('#stop').click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); }); $('#clients').click(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideUp('slow'); $("#us").fadeOut('slow'); $("ul").fadeToggle('slow'); }); $('#information').click(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideUp('slow'); $("ul").fadeOut('slow'); $("#us").fadeToggle('slow'); }); $('#question').click(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideToggle('slow'); }); $('#question').hover(function() { $("#projectinfo").slideToggle('slow'); }); $("a").click(function(event){ event.preventDefault(); linkLocation = this.href; $("body").fadeOut(1000, redirectPage); }); function redirectPage() { });

  • Internet explorer only executing function inside jQuery ajax success response once even though there

    - by user249950
    Hi, I have a function that uses jQuery.load() to call in 3 snippets of forms from different pages and then on the success text status it tries to load a colour picker: $(document).ready(function() { function ajax_form(putloadingboxhere, putsnippethere, snippeturl) { $(putsnippethere).load(snippeturl, function (responseText, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest, ) { if (textStatus == "success") { alert('One') $("input.pickcolor").ColorPicker({ onShow: function (colpkr) { $(colpkr).fadeIn(500); return false; }, onSubmit: function(hsb, hex, rgb, el) { $(el).val(hex); $(el).ColorPickerHide(); $(el).siblings('.colorpreview').css('background-color', '#' + hex); }, onBeforeShow: function () { $(this).ColorPickerSetColor(this.value); } }) .bind('keyup', function(){ $(this).ColorPickerSetColor(this.value); }); alert('Two') } if (textStatus == "error") { // Show error message } }); } ajax_form('tab_box', '#formone', 'snippet_one.htm #snippet'); ajax_form('tab_box', '#formtwo', 'snippet_two_copy.htm #snippet'); ajax_form('tab_box', '#formthree', 'snippet_three.htm #snippet'); }); It works fine in Firefox and Safari but (surprise, surprise) IE has a problem with it. I have added an alert to see what is going on before and after one of the functions. FF & Safari & IE8: Alert 'one' and Alert 'two' appear three times as expected and colour picker appears. IE6 & 7: Alert 'one' shows three times and colour picker does not appear. Any help would be great! Cheers. EDIT The line IE is referring to when it throws this error: 'Error: Object doesn't support this property or method.' is: $('input.pickcolor').ColorPicker Anyone got any insights? Thanks

  • How do I make a jQuery POST function open the new page?

    - by ciclistadan
    I know that a submit button in HTML can submit a form which opens the target page, but how do I cause a jQuery ajax call POST information to a new page and display the new page. I am submitting information that is gathered by clicking elements (which toggle a new class) and then all items with this new class are added to an array and POSTed to a new page. I can get it to POST the data but it seems to be working functioning in an ajax non-refreshing manner, not submitting the page and redirecting to the new page. how might I go about doing this? here's the script section: //onload function $(function() { //toggles items to mark them for purchase //add event handler for selecting items $(".line").click(function() { //get the lines item number var item = $(this).toggleClass("select").attr("name"); }); $('#process').click(function() { var items = []; //place selected numbers in a string $('.line.select').each(function(index){ items.push($(this).attr('name')); }); $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: 'additem.php', data: 'items='+items, success: function(){ $('#menu').hide(function(){ $('#success').fadeIn(); }); } }); }); return false; }); any pointers would be great!! thanks

  • Need to add hover intent?

    - by Bradley Bell
    Hi all, I'm really stuck. Basically i'm totally new to jquery, but need to add some kind of timer on mousover so that the page doesn't get messed up if the mouse goes all over the page. here's my script.. anyway i can easily implement it? <script> jQuery('cc').mouseover(function () { $("squareleft3").hide(); $("twitter").hide(); $("facebook").hide(); $("squareright").hide(); $("getintouch").hide(); $("getintouch2").hide(); $("getintouch3").hide(); $("vicarimage").hide(); $("squaredown2").hide(); $("squareleft2").hide(); $("one").hide(); $("whatis").hide(); $("squaredown").hide(); $("whoweare").hide(); if ($("whoweare:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("squaredown:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("squareleft3:first").is(":hidden")) { if ($("twitter:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("squareright:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("getintouch:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("getintouch2:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("getintouch3:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("vicarimage:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("squaredown2:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("squareleft2:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("one:first").is(":hidden")) if ($("whatis:first").is(":hidden")) jQuery('getinvolved').fadeIn(); jQuery('squareleft').slideToggleWidth(); } else { $("squareleft").hide(); $("getinvolved").hide(); } } ); </script> Cheers.

  • jQuery: Multiple animations with a delay on a set of divs

    - by Waleed
    Hey there, I have a group of 4 divs and I'm looking to use jQuery to animate them once, then have a delay using delay(), and then run another set of animations on them, putting the divs back to their original configuration. Here's the code that I have: //only selectors called 'option1' are affected by delay, and not 'option1 img' or 'option2' $("#option1").showOption1().delay(3000).hideOption1(); //if i don't attach to #option1, delay doesn't work, but the animations that need to happen simultaneously work $(document).showOption1().delay(3000).hideOption1(); jQuery.fn.showOption1 = function(){ $("#option2, #option3, #leftColumn").fadeOut(1000); $("#option1").css("zIndex", "5"); $("#option1").animate({ left: "370px", }, 1500); $("#option1 img").animate({ width: "500px", }, 1500, function(){ $("p.optionText").text('hello'); }); return this; } jQuery.fn.hideOption1 = function(){ $("#option1 img").animate({ width: "175px", }, 1500); $("#option1").animate({ left: "743px", }, 1500); $("#option2, #option3, #leftColumn").fadeIn(2000); $("#option1").css("zIndex", "1"); return this; } I've tried two ways of running these two functions, as seen on lines 2 and 5. In the case of line 2, showOption1() will run fine, but then only $("#option1").animate({ left: "743px", }, 1500); will work from hideOption1() after the delay. The rest of hideOption1() is fired immediately after showOption1() finishes, ignoring the delay. On the other hand, if I run line 5, all the code in hideOption1() runs simultaneously as desired, but ignores the delay entirely, running immediately after showOption1() finishes. How can I have all the code in hideOption1() run simultaneously after the delay? Thanks much in advance!

  • how to return multiple array items using json/jquery

    - by Scarface
    Hey guys, quick question, I have a query that will usually return multiple results from a database, while I know how to return one result, I am not sure how to return multiple in jquery. I just want to take each of the returned results and run them through my prepare function. I have been trying to use 'for' to handle the array of data but I don't think it can work since I am returning different array values. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. JQUERY RETRIEVAL for(i=0; i < json.rows; i++) { $('#users_online').append(online_users(json[i])); $('#online_list-' + count2).fadeIn(1500); } PHP PROCESSING $qryuserscount1="SELECT active_users.username,COUNT(scrusersonline.id) AS rows FROM scrusersonline LEFT JOIN active_users ON scrusersonline.id=active_users.id WHERE topic_id='$topic_id'"; $userscount1=mysql_query($qryuserscount1); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($userscount1)) { $onlineuser= $row['username']; $rows=$row['rows']; if ($username==$onlineuser){ $str2= "<a href=\"statistics.php?user=$onlineuser\"><div class=\"me\">$onlineuser</div></a>"; } else { $str2= "<b><a href=\"statistics.php?user=$onlineuser\"><div class=\"others\">$onlineuser</div></a></b>"; } $data['rows']=$rows; $data['entry']=$str1.$str2; }

  • JQuery DatePicker - pop calendar dialog on 'OnSelect' of another datepicker

    - by sajanyamaha
    I have two JQuery datepickers to select 'StartDate' and 'EndDate'.My requirement is to automatically popup the end date calendar after startDate has been selected. I have tried all the steps in COMMENTED HERE. The code here succesfully triggers the focus of 'EndDate' calendar,but it displays for a second and hides off. $(document).ready(function() { //Runs when tab is loaded var dateFormat = "dd/mm/yy"; var today=new Date(); today.setMonth(today.getMonth()-1); $("#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker1").datepicker({ minDate: 0, dateFormat:dateFormat, //maxDate: '+12M +31D', onSelect: function(dateText, inst){ var the_date = new Date($.datepicker.parseDate(dateFormat,dateText)); //var end=(the_date.getDate()+1) + '/' + (the_date.getMonth()+1) + '/' + the_date.getFullYear(); $("#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker2").datepicker('option', 'minDate', the_date); // TRIED ALL THESE //document.getElementById('ui-datepicker-div').style.display = 'block'; //document.getElementById('ui-datepicker-div').style.left = '635.5px'; //$("#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker2").datepicker("show"); //$("#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker2").datepicker(); //$("#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker2").focus(); //$('#foo').slideUp(300).delay(800).fadeIn(400); //$("#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker2").trigger("focus"); $('#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker2').focus(); } }); $("#ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_datepicker2").datepicker({ //maxDate: '+12M +31D', dateFormat:dateFormat, onSelect: function(dateText, inst){ } }); });

  • JQUERY, AutoSuggest that doesn't kill the Server on ever keyup

    - by nobosh
    I'm working to build a JQUERY enabled AutoSuggest plugin, inspired by Apple's spotlight. Here is the general code: $(document).ready(function() { $('#q').bind('keyup', function() { if( $(this).val().length == 0) { // Hide the q-suggestions box $('#q-suggestions').fadeOut(); } else { // Show the AJAX Spinner $("#q").css("background-image","url(/images/ajax-loader.gif)"); $.ajax({ url: '/search/spotlight/', data: {"q": $(this).val()}, success: function(data) { $('#q-suggestions').fadeIn(); // Show the q-suggestions box $('#q-suggestions').html(data); // Fill the q-suggestions box // Hide the AJAX Spinner $("#q").css("background-image","url(/images/icon-search.gif)"); } }); } }); The issue I want to solve well & elegantly, is not killing the sever. Right now the code above hits the server every time you type a key and does not wait for you to essentially finish typing. What's the best way to solve this? A. Kill previous AJAX request? B. Some type of AJAX caching? C. Adding some type of delay to only submit .AJAX() when the person has stopped typing for 300ms or so? Thanks

"<br>" + this.t : ""; var newName = this.name; //console.log(this.name); newName=newName.replace("/l/","/o/"); //console.log(newName); $("body").append("<p id='preview'><img src='"+ this.name +"' alt='Image preview' style='margin-bottom:5px;'>"+ c +"</p>"); $("#preview img").error(function () { $("#preview img").attr("src" ,newName).css({'width': '400px', 'height': 'auto'}); }); $("#preview") .css("top",(e.pageY - xOffset) + "px") .css("left",(e.pageX + yOffset) + "px") .fadeIn("fast"); }, function(){ this.title = this.t; $("#preview").remove(); }); $("a.preview").mousemove(function(e){ $("#preview") .css("top",(e.pageY - xOffset) + "px") .css("left",(e.pageX + yOffset) + "px"); }); }; any help will be appriciated Thanks Salman

  • My Core Animation block isn't working as I'd expect

    - by Alex Reynolds
    I have a UIView called activityView, which contains two subviews activityIndicator and cancelOperationsButton. These views are embedded in a XIB and wired up to my view controller. I have two methods that deal with activating (showing) and deactivating (hiding) these two subviews: - (void) enableActivityIndicator { [activityIndicator startAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:NO]; } - (void) disableActivityIndicator { [activityIndicator stopAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:YES]; } By themselves, these two methods work fine. To give this a bit of polish, I'd like to add an animation that fades these subviews in and out: - (void) enableActivityIndicator { [activityIndicator startAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:NO]; [UIView beginAnimations:@"fadeIn" context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDelay:0.0f]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0f]; [UIView setAnimationCurve:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseIn]; activityView.alpha = 1.0f; [UIView commitAnimations]; } - (void) disableActivityIndicator { [UIView beginAnimations:@"fadeOut" context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDelay:0.0f]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0f]; [UIView setAnimationCurve:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseOut]; activityView.alpha = 0.0f; [UIView commitAnimations]; [activityIndicator stopAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:YES]; } But the animations are not working — the subviews just show up or disappear without the parent view's alpha property having an effect on transparency. How should I write these methods to get the fade-in, fade-out effect I am after?

  • Embedded Vimeo Video Callbacks

    - by Andrew
    This post is kind of a follow up to a post I made earlier in regards to HTML5 video callbacks. In that thread, I was given a great piece of code that would allow for the browser to be informed of when the video stops playing and then fire off an action (with jQuery). This is the code I'm currently using: $('video.normal').bind('ended', function(){ $(this).fadeOut().queue(function(){ $(this).siblings('.post-video').fadeIn(); $(this).dequeue(); }); }); Which basically fades the video out when it's completed and brings a poster frame of the video (or similar image) back into view. Well, the scope of the project has changed and now the client is asking for true full screen video and different size videos to be delivered based on user connection speed, something that's a little over my head and a lot over budget. So I've been researching and a Vimeo Plus player seems like a great alternative for visitors using a desktop browser (HD embeds, true full screen, and more). Thing is, I need that above code to continue working in some capacity or another, so does the embedded Vimeo player offer a similar callback that I can utilize? Or am I SOL here? Thanks in advance!

  • Jquery Internet Explorer 8 compatibility issue, does not load data unless history is deleted...

    - by Scarface
    Hey guys, I have a weird problem. I have an update system that refreshes data on a time interval. It works well in all browsers except internet explorer 8. The problem is that once it loads the data, it does not matter if the data updates further, it will not update the data visually until the internet history is cleared. I am not using any cookies server-side...Anyone ever encounter something like this? Here is my javascript, thanks for any assistance in advance function prepare(response) { var d = new Date(); count++; d.setTime(response.time*1000); var mytime = d.getHours()+':'+d.getMinutes()+':'+d.getSeconds(); var string = '<li class="shoutbox-list" id="list-'+count+'">' + '<span class="shoutbox-list-nick"><a href="statistics.php?user='+response.user+'">'+response.user+'</a></span>' + ' <span class="date">'+mytime+'</span><br>' + '<span class="msg">'+response.message+'</span>' +'</li>'; return string; } function refresh() { $.getJSON(files+"shoutbox.php?action=view&time="+lastTime+"&topic_id="+topic_id, function(json) { if(json.length) { for(i=0; i < json.length; i++) { $('#daddy-shoutbox-list').prepend(prepare(json[i])); $('#list-' + count).fadeIn(1500); } var j = i-1; lastTime = json[j].time; } //alert(lastTime); }); timeoutID = setTimeout(refresh, 3000); } $(document).ready(function() { var options = { dataType: 'json', beforeSubmit: validate, success: function(response, status){ if (response.error=='success'){ success(response, status); } else { $.prompt(response.error); } } }; $('#daddy-shoutbox-form').ajaxForm(options); timeoutID = setTimeout(refresh, 100); });

  • PHP APC and Pecl upload progress returning false/null.

    - by Keyo
    This is a long shot. I believe this might be suhosin patch issue. Here is my php from codeigniter: public function uploadprogress($id) { if ($id) { header("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate"); header("Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT"); echo json_encode(apc_fetch('upload_'.$id)); exit(); } } public function uploader() { $this->load->view('myid/' . $this->router->class . '_uploader'); //phpinfo(); } script: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ var progress_key = $('#progress_key').val(); // this sets up the progress bar $('#uploadform').submit(function() { setTimeout(beginUpload,1500); return; }); function beginUpload() { $("#progressbar").progressbar({ value:0}).fadeIn(); var i = setInterval(function() { $.getJSON("/myid/videos/uploadprogress/" + progress_key, function(data) { alert('data'); if (data == null) { clearInterval(i); location.reload(true); return; } var response; eval ("response = " + data); if (!response) return; var percentage = Math.floor(100 * parseInt(response['bytes_uploaded']) / parseInt(response['bytes_total'])); $("#progressbar").progressbar({value:percentage}); }, 1500); }); } }); </script> Has anyone had strange troubles with this before? The upload key is the same on the view and the uploadprogress method. I've Tried apc and pecl upload-progress both return false or null. I wondering if it's just suhosin patch messing up everything?
