  • Windows Server 2008 R2 creating a multi-year client certificate using the IIS certsrv page while deploying SSTP VPN

    I am trying to follow instructions on Technet about deploying a Standard (non-enterprise) SSTP based VPN) that were originally written for Server 2008, but I am using Server 2008 R2, I have gotten as far as the part where it asks you to create a request a Server Authentication certificate. I have deployed IIS, and Active Directory Certificate Services, and chose "Standalone" and "Standard" (non-enterprise) Certificate Authority because I don't have an OID and don't think I should have to get one for a simple deployment of SSTP. The resulting certificates made by the Certification Authority "Issue" command, only have a 1 year period of validity, I want a multi-year certificate. At no point in this process is there any way to input this information unless it's through the Attributes text input area on the Advance Certificate Request page, which appears to be generated using an old ActiveX control, which means I can only do this using the workarounds in the article that I linked at the top, and only using Internet Explorer. Update:: It may be that this question is pointless since self-signed keys do not appear to work, when I try them, using Windows 8 as the VPN client. The problem is that the keys that are self-created by the technique shown here do not have any Certificate Revocation Server URLs and so you get an error "The revocation function was unable to check revocation", and the VPN connection fails.

Given that Rails adds a different timestamps to each asset such as foo.css?1270165626 every time I restart the server?   • Separate "Year" to several worksheets according to one column....

    hello! This task is driving me mad... please help! Instead of manually type in the data, i have used VBA to find the year range, put into one column and delete all duplicate ones. But since excel could give more than 20 years, it would be tedious to do all the filtering manually. AND, now i need excel to separate the rows that contain the specific year range in any one the three columns and put them into a new sheet. e.g. The years that excel could find in the three columns(F:H) are ( 2001,2003,2006,2010, 2012,2020.....2033).. and they are pasted in column "S" in sheet 1. How could i tell excel create new sheets for the years ( sheets 2001, sheets 2003, sheet2006....),search through column (F:H) in sheet 1 to see if ANY of those columns contain that year, and paste them into the new sheet. To be more specific, in the newly created "Sheet 2001", the entire row where column(F:H) contains "2001" should be pasted. and in the newly created "Sheet 2033", the entire row where column(F:H) contains "2033" should be pasted.. I am doing a small charting application to track download statistics, and want to put the data into a pie chart.   • How can I pull data from a SQL Database that spans an academic year?

    Basically, I want to pull data from August to May for a given set of dates. Using the between operator works as long as I do not cross the year marker (i.e. BETWEEN 8 AND 12 works -- BETWEEN 8 AND 5 does not). Is there any way to pull this data? Here is the SQL Query I wrote: SELECT count(*), MONTH(DateTime) FROM Downloads WHERE YEAR(DateTime) BETWEEN 2009 AND 2010 AND MONTH(DateTime) BETWEEN 8 AND 5 GROUP BY MONTH(DateTime) ORDER BY MONTH(DateTime)" Any help is appreciated.   • Server load spikes several times a day, load average for the past month is 5 times the load average all year

    My Munin notifications set up for our (Debian) LAMP cluster have been notifying me continuously that our load on our production machine has been at dangerous levels. While the average load all year typically runs between 2 and 8, the load in the past month and only the past month -- has been skyrocketing to 10, 18, and occasionally even 50-60. The spikes last only 5-10 minutes at a time and occur about every 2-3 hours. The spikes do not effect performance only because I have a script that sends traffic off our server to a mirror CDN when the load goes above 10. I've looked for cron jobs that correlate with this timeframe but there is nothing I can see that would cause this. Site traffic is also normal (we receive about 200K visits per day). I'm also trying to think of anything I've changed around the time this problem began, and I really cannot think of anything. This is probably not much to go on. Maybe there is a clue in the top print-out (below) that I'm not seeing. I have my code, but I think there should be more elegant way. calling code: var numberOfLeapYears = NumberOfLeapYears(startDate.Year + 1, endDate.Year - 1); function itself: private static int NumberOfLeapYears(int startYear, int endYear) { var counter = 0; for (var year = startYear; year <= endYear; year++) counter += DateTime.IsLeapYear(year) ? 1 : 0; return counter; } So if I have startDate = "10/16/2006" and endDate = "4/18/2004" I should only have 1 leap year (2000) in result. Another words startDate's Year and endDate's year should not be calculated, only years in between. Thanks in advance for your help.

Each client makes up to one purchase a year which is represented by an individual row. there's a column for the year and there's a column the contains a unique identifier for each client. What I need to do is to construct a query that takes last year and this year and shows me which clients were here made a purchase last year but not make a purchase this year. I also need to build a query that shows me which clients did not make a purchase last year and the year before last but did make a purchase this year.

  • How to scrape Google SERP based on copyright year?

    Hi all: I know there must be ways to do this sort of things. I am not pro in RoR or Python, not even an expert in PHP. So my solution tends to be quite dumb: It uses a FireFox add-on called imarcos to scrape the target urls from Google SERP, and use PHP to store info into the database. At the very core of my workaround there lies a problem: How to specifically find target urls based on their copyright year? I mean, something like "copyright 1998-2006" in the footer is to be considered a target, but my search results are not 100% accurate. I used the following url to search : http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&q=inurl:.com.au+intext:copyright+1995..2007+--2008+--2009&start=0&cad=b&fp=6a8119b094529f00 It reads : search for pages that have .com.au in URL and a copyright range from 1995 to 2007 exclude the year of 2008 or 2009. Starting position is 0, of course the offset can be changed. I've already done a dummy list and honestly I am not pleased with the result. That's mostly because I cannot find a way to restrict search terms in the exact order as they are entered into the search url. copyright can appear in anywhere on page and doesn't necessarily before the years, that's the current story. Is there a more clear way to sort out this? Oh, almost forgot to say the client doesn't wanna spent too much in this - I cannot persuade him simply buy some cool software, unfortunately. I hope there is a way to use clever Google search operators or similar things to go around this issue. Many thanks in advance!
