• Having trouble Getting "RTSP over HTTP"

  There is an axis camera that is connected to our site (camba.tv) through axis one click connection component (which acts as proxy). We can communicate with this camera only through http by setting the proxy to our OCCC server's address. If we want to get RTSP streams (h.264) we are only left with "RTSP over HTTP" option. For this I have followed axis VAPIX 3 documentation section 3.3. I issue requests through fiddler but don't get any response. But when i put the URL (axrtsphttp://1.00408CBEA38B/axis-media/media.amp) in windows media player (with proxy set to OCCC server 212.78.237.156:3128) the player is able to get RTSP stream over HTTP after logging in. The only thing i do different with stream is to use Basic in authorization header instead of Digest and I do not get 401 (Un authorized) status code. Can anyone explain what's happening here? How can I write request sequences to get stream in fiddler? If it is needed, I can upload the wireshark request dump somewhere.

• Apache misbehaving (returning 404s)

  CentOS 6.4 64-bit Apache 2.4.6 PHP-FPM 5.5.4 Homepage from root loads fine http://csillamvilag.com But all other pages return 404 (CMS is WordPress). I am also able to access and log into WordPress backend. Additionally, Menalto Gallery 3 seems to be loading ok http://csillamvilag.com/kepek/ but all OpenCart pages return 404 http://csillamvilag.com/shop/ or http://csillamvilag.com/shop/hu/ Apache is running as user apache. All relevant WordPress and OpenCart files are owned by user apache. I have a suspicion that it might be a rewrite issue, but I checked .htaccess for both WordPress and OpenCart, and they look ok. e.g. WordPress/root .htaccess is: # BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule>

• How can I send audio input as chunked HTTP?

  I am trying to create an interface with an external server, and don't know where to start. I would need to take audio as input to my computer, and send it to the remote server as a chunked HTTP request. The api that i'm trying to connect to is described here p1-5 http://dragonmobile.nuancemobiledeveloper.com/public/Help/HttpInterface/HTTP_Services_for_NDEV_v1.2_Silver_Version.pdf I have never worked with audio programmatically, so don't know what would be the most straighforward way to go about this? Are there solutions that exist out there that already do this? I've come across references to Shoutcast, VLC, Icecast, FFMPeg, Darkice, but I don't know if those are appropriate for what I'm trying to accomplish or not. Would appreciate any guidance, Thanks

• Are you aware of any client-side malware that sends lots of junk requests for .gifs?

  I am getting dozens of 404 errors on my site that are requests for gif's with apparently random names, like 4273uaqa.gif and 5pwowlag.gif. I see that most of them are coming from one user. I assume something is happening in the background on her machine without her knowledge. I assume it's a malware thing on the client. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Would love to advise my customer that s/he has an issue. I'd also like to stop getting these 404 reports. :)

  I'm using nginx + passenger. I'm trying to understand the nginx response 200 and 304. What does this both means? Sometimes, it responses back in 304 and others only 200. Reading the YUI blog, it seems browser needs the header "Last-Modified" to verify with the server. I'm wondering why the browser need to verify the last modified date. Here is my nginx configuration: location / { root /var/www/placexpert/public; # <--- be sure to point to 'public'! passenger_enabled on; rack_env development; passenger_use_global_queue on; if ($request_filename ~* ^.+\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|ico|css|js|swf)$) { expires max; break; } } How would I add the header "Last-Modified" to the static files? • How to figure out which directory is web server root?

  I want to view websites hosted on my Mac when running Windows VMware Fusion. I have an entry in the Windows hosts file to enable the routing: #ip of my mac domain i use on the VM to access it 192.168.1.70 mymac However, it resolves to an empty directory as a 404 is generated. I can see the access log on my Mac that everything is OK access wise. Firefox on VMware states the following response headers: Server Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8l DAV/2 PHP/5.3.1 Any ideas how I can figure out what directory is being served? I am lost in a maze of twisty httpd.conf passages. localhost on my Mac resolves to my ~/Sites directory. 192.168.1.70 resolves to the same empty directory/404. Thanks.

• Configure akamai to ignore favicon errors [on hold]

  We have hosted our services through akamai and have configured and alert in akamai to notify us of 404 errors. We dont want to serve favicon from our services (as they are rest webservices which are not consumed by humans, hence no point in serving favicons). But whenever thesewebservices are accessed from a browser the browser would send a request for the favicon, which ends up being logged as a 404 and akamai sends us an alert for this.   Someone has incorrectly linked to some of my urls causing 404 erros in Google Webmaster Tools. Here is an example Linked URL: http://www.example.com/foo-%E2%80%8Bbar.html Correct URL: http://www.example.com/foor-bar.html I would like to 301 redirect any instance of this kind of incorrect linking to the correct URL. I have tried the following but it generates 404 Errors site wide. Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^foo-(.*)bar\.html$ http://www.example.com/foo-bar\.html? [L,R=301] Could anyone let me know what I am doing wrong?

• Confluence or apache on win server 2008 cant find scripts and images :(

  I am a newbie to both Tomcat and Apache. I have set the virtual hosts as described in Here. And JIRA works fine when i browse the URL jira.agmlab.com. However when i try to access Confluence(3.4.5) with confluence.agmlab.com the pages come in plain html, i can login and browse pages but there is no css or js so that my confluence pages look very ugly. what can possibly cause this and how to fix this? here is my virtual hosts definitions : # # Virtual Hosts # # If you want to maintain multiple domains/hostnames on your # machine you can setup VirtualHost containers for them. Can it be something related with the permissions defined in Win Server 2008 ? maybe there is not enough rights (such as read execute ) in some users, directories ??

  I'm trying to convince another group in my company that they need to provide more documentation in their source code (they want to hand off the code to my group) but they're treating it as a "nice to have". In my view, it's a necessity. I've run a source code analysis tool and it's showing about 10% comment lines - but looking at the source code, most of that is coming from entire functions that the author has commented out. Can anyone provide some authoritative citations / references for documentation / comment standards for source code? (In case it matters, we're a C# house, with a little Matlab thrown in).

  Arguing for code-generation I am looking for some reasons, if howsoever, code generation increases the code quality, respectively is in favor for quality insurance. To clarify what I mean with code-generation I can talk only about a project of mine: We use XML files to describe different relationships, in fact our database schema. These XML files are used to generate our ORM framework and HTML forms which can be used to add, delete and modify entities. To my mind, it increases the quality, as the human error is reduced. If someone was implemented wrong, it is broken in the model. This is good, because the error might appear a lot faster, as more generated code is broken, too.

I am running Win7 with IIS7 (7.5.7600.16385), MS SQL 2008 Express. As suggested in Installation guide.pdf I have performed aspnet_regiis.exe -i (however in folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 and not in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5.30729.1 because I simply don't have this folder although Ms Web Platform installer says that I have SP1 for NET Framework 3.5 installed)

  Hi, I install apache, mysql, php and then phpmyadmin on ubuntu desktop 10.04 version I test apache: localhost with browser and its works. I test mysql with console and its works.
