  • CDI SessionScoped Bean results in two instances in same session

    - by Ryan
I've got two instances of a SessionScoped CDI bean for the same session. I was under the impression that there would be one instance generated for me by CDI, but it generated two. Am I misunderstanding how CDI works, or did I find a bug? Here is the bean code: package org.mycompany.myproject.session; import java.io.Serializable; import javax.enterprise.context.SessionScoped; import javax.faces.context.FacesContext; import javax.inject.Named; import javax.servlet.http.HttpSession; @Named @SessionScoped public class MyBean implements Serializable { private String myField = null; public MyBean() { System.out.println("MyBean constructor called"); FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); HttpSession session = (HttpSession)fc.getExternalContext().getSession(false); String sessionId = session.getId(); System.out.println("Session ID: " + sessionId); } public String getMyField() { return myField; } public void setMyField(String myField) { this.myField = myField; } } Here is the Facelet code: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <f:view contentType="text/html" encoding="UTF-8"> <h:head> <title>Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form id="form"> <h:inputText value="#{myBean.myField}"/> <h:commandButton value="Submit"/> </h:form> </h:body> </f:view> </html> Here is the output from deployment and navigating to page: INFO: Loading application org.mycompany_myproject_war_1.0-SNAPSHOT at /myproject INFO: org.mycompany_myproject_war_1.0-SNAPSHOT was successfully deployed in 8,237 milliseconds. • A class meant for an alfresco behavior and its bean, how do they work and how are they deployed trough eclipse

    - by MrHappy
(This is a partial repost of a question asked 10 days ago because only 1 part was answered(not included), I've rewritten it into a way better question and added 3 more tags) where do I put the DeleteAsset.class or why isn't it being found? I've put the compiled class from the bin of the workspace of eclipse into alfresco-4.2.c/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/com/openerp/behavior/ and right now it's giving me Error loading class [com.openerp.behavior.DeleteAsset] for bean with name 'deletionBehavior' defined in URL [file:/home/openerp/alfresco-4.2.c/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/cust??om-web-context.xml]: problem with class file or dependent class; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/openerp/behavior/DeleteAsset (wrong name: DeleteAsset) when I put it in there. (See bean below!) The code(I'd trying to work without the model class, idk if I made any silly mistakes on that): package com.openerp.behavior; import java.util.List; import java.net.*; import java.io.*; import org.alfresco.repo.node.NodeServicePolicies; import org.alfresco.repo.policy.Behaviour; import org.alfresco.repo.policy.JavaBehaviour; import org.alfresco.repo.policy.PolicyComponent; import org.alfresco.repo.policy.Behaviour.NotificationFrequency; import org.alfresco.repo.security.authentication.AuthenticationUtil; import org.alfresco.repo.security.authentication.AuthenticationUtil.RunAsWork; import org.alfresco.service.cmr.repository.ChildAssociationRef; import org.alfresco.service.cmr.repository.NodeRef; import org.alfresco.service.cmr.repository.NodeService; import org.alfresco.service.namespace.NamespaceService; import org.alfresco.service.namespace.QName; import org.alfresco.service.transaction.TransactionService; import org.apache.log4j.Logger; //this is the newer version //import com.openerp.model.openerpJavaModel; public class DeleteAsset implements NodeServicePolicies.BeforeDeleteNodePolicy { private PolicyComponent policyComponent; private Behaviour beforeDeleteNode; private NodeService nodeService; public void init() { this.beforeDeleteNode = new JavaBehaviour(this,"beforeDeleteNode",NotificationFrequency.EVERY_EVENT); this.policyComponent.bindClassBehaviour(QName.createQName("http://www.someco.com/model/content/1.0","beforeDeleteNode"), QName.createQName("http://www.someco.com/model/content/1.0","sc:doc"), this.beforeDeleteNode); } public setNodeService(NodeService nodeService){ this.nodeService = nodeService; } @Override public void beforeDeleteNode(NodeRef node) { System.out.println("beforeDeleteNode!"); try { QName attachmentID1= QName.createQName("http://www.someco.com/model/content/1.0", "OpenERPattachmentID1"); // this could/shoul be defined in your OpenERPModel-class int attachmentid = (Integer)nodeService.getProperty(node, attachmentID1); //int attachmentid = 123; URL oracle = new URL("http://0.0.0.0:1885/delete/%20?attachmentid=" + attachmentid); URLConnection yc = oracle.openConnection(); BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader( yc.getInputStream())); String inputLine; while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null) //System.out.println(inputLine); in.close(); } catch(Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } This is my full custom-web-context file: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <!DOCTYPE beans PUBLIC '-//SPRING//DTD BEAN//EN' 'http://www.springframework.org/dtd/spring-beans.dtd'> <beans> <!-- Registration of new models --> <bean id="smartsolution.dictionaryBootstrap" parent="dictionaryModelBootstrap" depends-on="dictionaryBootstrap"> <property name="models"> <list> <value>alfresco/extension/scOpenERPModel.xml</value> </list> </property> </bean> <!-- deletion of attachments within openERP when delete is initiated in Alfresco--> <bean id="DeleteAsset" class="com.openerp.behavior.DeleteAsset" init-method="init"> <property name="NodeService"> <ref bean="NodeService" /> </property> <property name="PolicyComponent"> <ref bean="PolicyComponent" /> </property> </bean> and content type: <type name="sc:doc"> <title>OpenERP Document</title> <parent>cm:content</parent> There's also this when I open share An error has occured in the Share component: /share/service/components/dashlets/my-sites. • Core Data migration problem: "Persistent store migration failed, missing source managed object model

    - by John Gallagher
The Background A Cocoa Non Document Core Data project with two Managed Object Models. Model 1 stays the same. Model 2 has changed, so I want to migrate the store. I've created a new version by Design Data Model Add Model Version in Xcode. The difference between versions is a single relationship that's been changed from to a one to many. I've made my changes to the model, then saved. I've made a new Mapping Model that has the old model as a source and new model as a destination. I've ensured all Mapping Models and Data Models and are being compiled and all are copied to the Resource folder of my app bundle. I've switched on migrations by passing in a dictionary with the NSMigratePersistentStoresAutomaticallyOption key as [NSNumber numberWithBool:YES] when adding the Persistent Store. Rather than merging all models in the bundle, I've specified the two models I want to use (model 1 and the new version of model 2) and merged them using modelByMergingModels: The Problem No matter what I do to migrate, I get the error message: "Persistent store migration failed, missing source managed object model." What I've Tried I clean after every single build. I've tried various combinations of having only the model I'm migrating to in Resources, being compiled, or both. Since the error message implies it can't find the source model for my migration, I've tried having every version of the model in both the Resources folder and being compiled. I've made sure I'm not making a really basic error by switching back to the original version of my data model. The app runs fine. I've deleted the Mapping Model and the new version of the model, cleaned, then recreated both. I've tried making a different change in the new model - deleting an entity instead. I'm at my wits end. I can't help but think I've made a huge mistake somewhere that I'm not seeing. Any ideas?

  • Spring 2.5 managed servlets: howto?

    - by EugeneP
Correct me if anything is wrong. As I understand, all Spring functionality, namely DI works when beans are got thru Spring Context, ie getBean() method. Otherwise, none can work, even if my method is marked @Transactional and I will create the owning class with a new operator, no transaction management will be provided. I use Tomcat 6 as a servlet container. So, my question is: how to make Servlet methods managed by Spring framework. The issue here is that I use a framework, and its servlets extend the functionality of basic java Servlets, so they have more methods. Still, web.xml is present in an app as usual. The thing is that I do not control the servlets creation flow, I can only override a few methods of each servlet, the flow is basically written down in some xml file, but I control this process using a graphical gui. So, basically, I only add some code to a few methods of each Servlet. How to make those methods managed by Spring framework? The basic thing I need to do is making these methods transactional (@Transactional).

  • Message driven bean not responding until client method is complete

    - by poijoi
Hi, I have a MDB deployed on Jboss 4.2.2 and a client on the same server that produces messages and expects a reply from the MDB via a temporary queue created before the message is sent. When I run the client, I see that it creates the message, puts it in the queue and waits for the reply (no problem so far) ... but when I check in the logs I see that the timeout is reached and no response is received. When the timeout occurs and the client's method is complete the MDB starts processing the message that should have been processed the moment the client put it in the queue. As a consequence of this timing issue, when the MDB tries to reply to the temp queue, it fails since the client is already gone. If I run the same client from a remote server, I have no problem... The MDB picks up the message from the queue right away and the client receives its response right after the processing is complete. I'm using container managed transactions. I suspect it has something to do with that... I think the client's "send message/receive reply" might be all be considered a transaction before it commits to put the message in the queue... but I'm not sure if this is correct. If this is the case, why did I not see the same behavior from the remote client? is client managed transaction the default setting and that's what my remote server was using? Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance! PJ

  • Retaining Managed objects - more general retaining objects

    - by Luuk D. Jansen
A quick question regarding Managed Objects. I created an Array with Managed Objects (in Object 1: TableViewConbtroller), and pass one of those objects to another class/object (object 2: TableCell). The original array should still be retained in the original caller class. Then Object 2 is released, does that mean that that particular item in the array is released as well, as the reference to it in Object 2 was released? I am trying to better understand how to work with ManagedObjects as I get 'Object was released' errors. [EDIT] After some experimenting I came across the following scenario: I have the main AppDelegate. In a different class I create an AppDelegate to obtain the ManagedObjectContext. appDelegate = (iDomsAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; [self setContext:[appDelegate managedObjectContext]]; When the class is finished, and I release it, the variable in the class 'appDelegate' is also released. But then the ManagedObjectContext is closed, and obvious any future attempt to use it will cause a crash. So should I leave the appDelegate unreleased? This comes to the same question as the above about when and how to release in those situations where an objects is used from another class. I think a way of putting it is, how to know when you own an object and when not.

  • Is AutoIt "Managed Code"?

    - by Gio Borje
An extension of my previous thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2634531/c-wrapping-an-application-within-another-application So I'm launching embedded resource applications via Reflection and I'm unsure whether I can use AutoIt (.au3) files or not. People say it needs to be "Managed Code". I'm not completely sure what that means nor do I know if AutoIt has that characteristic.

  • Long overdue (for me) question about disposing managed objects in .Net, VB.Net, C#

    - by Jules
I can't believe I'm still confused about this but, any way, lets finally nail it: I have a class that overrides OnPaint to do some drawing. To speed things up, I create the pens, brushes etc before hand, in the construtor, so that OnPaint does not need to keep creating and disposing them. Now, I make sure that I always dispose of such objects, but I have the feeling I don't need to because, despite the fact they implement IDisposable, they're managed objects. Is this correct?

  • Executing a .NET Managed Assembly from SQL Server 2008 - Pro's, Con's & Recommendations

    - by RPM1984
Hi guys, looking for opinions/recommendations/links for the following scenario im currently facing. The Platform: .NET 4.0 Web Application SQL Server 2008 The Task: Overhaul a component of the system that performs (fairly) complex mathematical operations based on a specific user activity, and updates numerous tables in the database. A common user activity might be "Bob" decides to post a forum topic. This results in (the end-solution) needing to look at various factors (about the post he did), then after doing some math based on lookup values/ratios as well as other data in the database, inserting some other data as a result of these operations. The Options: Ok - so here's what im thinking. Although it would be much easier to do this in C# (LINQ-SQL) it doesnt make much sense as the majority of the computations are based on values in the db, and it will get difficult to control/optimize/debug the LINQ over time. Hence, im leaning towards created a managed assembly (C# Class Library) that contains the lookup values (constants) as well as leveraging the math classes in the existing .NET BCL. Basically i'd expose a few methods that can be called by the T-SQL Stored Procedures. This to me has the following advantages: Simplicity of math. Do complex math in .NET vs complex math in T-SQL. No brainer. =) Abstraction of computatations, configurable "lookup" values and business logic from raw T-SQL. T-SQL only needs to care about the data, simplifying the stored procedures and making it easier to maintain. When it needs to do math it delegates off to the managed assembly. So, having said that - ive never done this before (call .NET assmembly from T-SQL), and after some googling the best site i could come up with is here, which is useful but outdated. So - what am i asking? Well, firstly - i need some better references on how to actually do this. "This" being how to call a C# .NET 4 Assembly from within T-SQL Stored Procedures in SQL Server 2008. Secondly, who out there has done this, what problems (if any) did you face? Realize this may be difficult to provide a "correct answer", so ill try to give it to whoever gives me the answer with a combination of good links and a list of pro's/con's/problems with this implementation. Cheers!

  • What is a Managed Prototype?

    - by Vidar
I just need clarification on what a managed prototype is. I think it is a method that uses the DLLImport attribute and has a method like so: [DllImport("user32.dll")] private static extern int MessageBox(IntPtr hWnd, String text, String caption, uint type); Does it always mean this i.e you must have a DLLImport attribute and then a method signiture which is a private static extern??? Cheers

  • Core data fetch only returns unique managed objects

    - by JK
I execute a core data fetch which specifies a predicate as follows: NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"identifier IN %@", favoritesIDs]; When there are duplicate items in the favoriteIDs array, the fetch request only returns 1 managed object. How can I ensure that more than one instance is fetched? Thank you.

  • managed object subclasses are not generating implementation files and are incorrectly named

    - by mkc842
In Xcode 4.6, I generated plenty of managed object subclass files without any problem. But now that I'm trying to do it in Xcode 5, it generates only a .h file. The header file has the correct properties, but it takes the name of my project, rather than the name of the core data entity I selected. Just to be sure I hadn't forgotten something, I carefully followed these steps . What could be going on? Thanks

  • SecurityException when accessing (ejb2-) session bean via local interface in JBoss 5

    - by sme
I have the following problem with an EJB 2 SessionBean when deploying in JBoss 5: The SessionBean (called LVSKeepAliveDispatcher) requires a specific user role (called "LVSUser"), specified by <method-permission > <description></description> <role-name>LVSUser</role-name> <method > <description></description> <ejb-name>LVSKeepAliveDispatcher</ejb-name> <method-name>*</method-name> </method> </method-permission> in ejb-jar.xml. I now want to access this SessionBean from a Service (i.e. a class implementing the org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Schedulable interface that is then registered as a service) running inside the same JBoss instance. This is my jboss-service.xml: <server> <mbean code="org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Scheduler" name="lvs:service=TranslationService"> <attribute name="StartAtStartup">true</attribute> <attribute name="SchedulableClass">de.repower.lvs.server.service.translation.TranslationService</attribute> <attribute name="SchedulableArguments"></attribute> <attribute name="SchedulableArgumentTypes"></attribute> <attribute name="InitialStartDate">NOW</attribute> <attribute name="SchedulePeriod">60000</attribute> <attribute name="InitialRepetitions">1</attribute> <attribute name="TimerName">jboss:service=Timer,name=TranslationServiceTimer</attribute> <depends><mbean code="javax.management.timer.Timer" name="jboss:service=Timer,name=TranslationServiceTimer"/></depends> <depends>jboss.j2ee:service=EJB,jndiName=de/repower/lvs/i18n/sessionbeans/LVSTranslation</depends> </mbean> As the service is deployed in the same vm as the session bean I want to call the session bean via the local interface, but I get a SecurityException when I try to create an instance. When instead I do a lookup of the RemoteInterface it works. This is the code inside the perform method of my service class: public void perform(Date now, long remainingRepetitions) { try { final UsernamePasswordHandler handler = new UsernamePasswordHandler(USERNAME, PASSWORD); final LoginContext lc = new LoginContext("client-login", handler); lc.login(); // Trying to instantiate an LVSKeepAliveDispatcher via remote interface // This part works LVSKeepAliveDispatcher localvHome = LVSKeepAliveDispatcherUtil.getHome().create(); LOGGER.info("Successfully instantiated an LVSKeepAliveDispatcher " + localvHome.toString()); // Trying to instantiate an LVSKeepAliveDispatcherLocal via local interface LVSKeepAliveDispatcherLocal localvLocalHome = LVSKeepAliveDispatcherUtil.getLocalHome().create(); // this code is unforunately never reached LOGGER.info("Successfully instantiated an LVSKeepAliveDispatcherLocal " + localvLocalHome.toString()); lc.logout(); } catch (final Exception ex) { LOGGER.error("Error: ", ex); } } Exception: 2009-02-17 10:38:02,266 INFO [lvsi18n] (Timer-2) Successfully instantiated an LVSKeepAliveDispatcher de/repower/lvs/server/service/alive/sessionbeans/LVSKeepAliveDispatcher:Stateless 2009-02-17 10:38:02,297 ERROR [org.jboss.ejb.plugins.SecurityInterceptor] (Timer-2) Error in Security Interceptor java.lang.SecurityException: Authentication exception, principal=internalSystemUser at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.SecurityInterceptor.checkSecurityContext(SecurityInterceptor.java:321) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.SecurityInterceptor.process(SecurityInterceptor.java:243) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.SecurityInterceptor.invokeHome(SecurityInterceptor.java:205) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.security.PreSecurityInterceptor.process(PreSecurityInterceptor.java:136) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.security.PreSecurityInterceptor.invokeHome(PreSecurityInterceptor.java:88) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.LogInterceptor.invokeHome(LogInterceptor.java:132) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.ProxyFactoryFinderInterceptor.invokeHome(ProxyFactoryFinderInterceptor.java:107) at org.jboss.ejb.SessionContainer.internalInvokeHome(SessionContainer.java:639) at org.jboss.ejb.Container.invoke(Container.java:1046) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.local.BaseLocalProxyFactory.invokeHome(BaseLocalProxyFactory.java:362) at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.local.LocalHomeProxy.invoke(LocalHomeProxy.java:133) at $Proxy193.create(Unknown Source) at de.repower.lvs.server.service.translation.TranslationService.perform(TranslationService.java:68) at org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Scheduler$PojoScheduler.invoke(Scheduler.java:1267) at org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Scheduler$BaseListener.handleNotification(Scheduler.java:1235) at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor281.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597) at org.jboss.mx.notification.NotificationListenerProxy.invoke(NotificationListenerProxy.java:153) at $Proxy87.handleNotification(Unknown Source) at javax.management.NotificationBroadcasterSupport.handleNotification(NotificationBroadcasterSupport.java:257) at javax.management.NotificationBroadcasterSupport$SendNotifJob.run(NotificationBroadcasterSupport.java:322) at javax.management.NotificationBroadcasterSupport$1.execute(NotificationBroadcasterSupport.java:307) at javax.management.NotificationBroadcasterSupport.sendNotification(NotificationBroadcasterSupport.java:229) at javax.management.timer.Timer.sendNotification(Timer.java:1234) at javax.management.timer.Timer.notifyAlarmClock(Timer.java:1203) at javax.management.timer.TimerAlarmClock.run(Timer.java:1286) at java.util.TimerThread.mainLoop(Timer.java:512) at java.util.TimerThread.run(Timer.java:462) To further diagnose the error I debugged through the SecurityInterceptor and found that in the first case (successful creating an instance via the remote interface) the security context "lvs-security" (which I defined in login-config.xml) is being used whereas in the second case (failure when creating an instance via the local interface) the generic security context "CLIENT-LOGIN" is being used. This is the definition of the securit context "lvs-security" in login-config.xml: <application-policy name = "lvs-security"> <authentication> <login-module code = "org.jboss.security.ClientLoginModule" flag = "required"> </login-module> <login-module code = "de.repower.lvs.security.UsersRolesLoginModule" flag = "sufficient"> </login-module> <login-module code = "de.repower.lvs.security.login.LVSLoginModule" flag = "required"> <module-option name = "lvs-jboss-host">localhost</module-option> <module-option name = "lvs-jboss-jndi-port">1099</module-option> </login-module> </authentication> </application-policy> I'm now kind of stuck and hope someone can give me a hint about where to further look for the cause of the problem. This worked fine in JBoss 3.2.7. Edit: My current workaround for this problem: create a new container configuration in jboss.xml and remove the security interceptor stuff from this configuration use this newly created container configuration for all my session beans that I only use locally (i.e. via local interface).
