• Uget tray icon not showing

  Since I upgraded to Saucy, Uget is not showing in the system tray, although the Always show tray icon option in Uget settings is checked. P.S. this happens only with Uget, all the other Softwares have working tray icons (vlc,qbittorrent..) • Mount points disappear from network share directory listing

  When browsing a network share which contains volume mount points, said mount points disappear from the directory listing. The mount points are still accessible directly by path, just not present in the directory listing. The machine is a Vista SP1 32 bit machine. It has a network share that contains volume mount points to the volumes of the Vista machine (created using the SetVolumeMountPoint API). When browsing the network share from another computer (either Win7 64 bit, Win7 32 bit or Vista SP1 32 bit) using Windows Explorer the following problem occurs: First, both volume mount points called C, D appear fine. I browse into directory C and see all its contents properly. I go back to the root of the shared folder and now I only see D. C has disappeared from the directory listing. I enter D and see all its contents. Go back to the root of the shared folder and now it's empty. D disappeared as well. If I manually go to \\<path to shared folder>\C from the address bar - then all is fine and I can browse its contents (same with D). The same issue does NOT occur when creating a similar share with volume mount points on Windows XP SP2 or SP3. Has anyone came across this problem? Any ideas how to work around it?

• Chrome's new window disappear from desktop

  I'm having this problem with Chrome on a Windows 7 x86 machine. I'm using Chrome for a locally hosted intranet web app. In the web app, there's frequent use of new window which popup, which works like a dialog box for the app. The problem started since yesterday. All the new windows doesn't appear on top and no where to be found on the desktop. But it does appear on the taskbar. Clicking the button on the taskbar doesn't bring up the window as well. I've also tried Alt+Space, then Move, it doesn't work. I only found 2 way to bring it up, Maximize or Show as tab. What could have caused this and how should I fix it? Thanks EDIT: I've configure to not group taskbar buttons. EDIT: I've just gone through the javascript of the button, it call window.open to display the popup. I can see the popup flicker and disappear. If I step through the code, the popup will display properly, sometime. Also, if I click the button twice, it will also display the popup, but at a much smaller size, less than 100x100

• Adobe Flex Transparency not working on Button icon

  I am fairly inexperienced with Flex, but my googling has retrieved nothing to suggest this is an obvious question. I have an mx:Button with an Icon on it that is a png file with a transparent background, as below, however the transparency is not working, and the icon is painted with a white background. <mx:Button label="Button" icon="@Embed(source='images/clearTracks.png')"/> I have seen how to use a ByteArrayImage to get a transparency working on an image, but this technique doesn't appear available for a button's icon property.

• app icon not showing in iphone simulator

  I have a 57x57 PNG file in the root of my bundle, and the "Icon file" setting in my .plist file has the correct filename, but when the app is installed to the simulator, the icon is the default grey/white one. I've tried deleting my app from the simulator (both through the simulator and through rm -rf on the app directory from the console), I've tried cleaning my target, and I've tried renaming my app icon, all to no avail. What do I have to do to get the icon showing?

• How do I change the Google Chrome offline icon?

  I am using some offline apps for google chrome and because of this an application indicator pops un in the gnome panel. My problem is that this indicator uses the google chrome default system tray icon and I think it looks ugly with my current theme so I would basically like to change the icon. I can't find the icons that google chrome is using for this purpose but I have no problem finding the other icons used by google chrome and changing them, like the 24x24 or 22x22 icons that you see in the gnome application menu (which by default looks like the application indicator for google chrome). It doens't seem like Google Chrome is taking the icon from e.g /usr/share/icons/ and I can't change the icon by changing the icon theme in like gconf-editor Is there anyway to see the preferences (like you can do with launchers) of the application indicators in the gnome-panel and then locate the indicator icon or change it in another way?

• Time machine disk icon on boot disk

  The icon for Macintosh HD (my boot disk) shows as a Time Machine disk. There is a file .com.apple.timemachine.supported in the root of the disk. If I delete the file and restart the computer, the icon goes back to a normal HD icon. However, the .com.apple.timemachine.supported file is recreated at some point on boot because when I log in again, the file has been recreated. If then reboot again, the icon goes back to being a Time Machine one. Any ideas about what is creating this file and why? More importantly - how can I get it to stop? It looks like something thinks the boot disk should be a Time Machine volume, but what? Console.app shows the following messages at approximately hourly intervals: 19/01/2010 19:23:54 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[7459] Starting standard backup 19/01/2010 19:23:54 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[7459] Cookie file is not readable or does not exist at path: /.<12 hex digits of MAC address for en0> 19/01/2010 19:23:54 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[7459] Volume at path / does not appear to be the correct backup volume for this computer. (Cookies do not match) 19/01/2010 19:23:59 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[7459] Backup failed with error: 18 Other possibly relevant information: The boot HD isn't the original - the original failed so this is a SuperDuper'd clone of the original drive. I used to use the same disk for a SuperDuper clone as for Time Machine. These are the same same symptoms as this and this.

• Windows 7 Busy Icon won't stop spinning

  In windows 7 you have the busy icon that is a little blue wheel spinning beside the cursor when it is doing something. It has started to spin for about a second every 3-5 seconds. There is noting running that I can tell on the computer to cause the busy icon. It gets very annoying and I am not sure what to do to get it to stop. Ideas? Running a CPU Usage Gadget says I have less than 5% of the CPU being use and I have over 6GB of RAM free. (I have 8GB total) I am running a 3.6 GHZ AMD FX 4100 processor. EDIT- What I am actually seeing is the working in background pointer (the pointer is still visible beside the busy icon). EDIT 2 - After realizing this happened with the printer installation I turned on the the printer and the busy icon stopped. The printer is setup wirelessly. How do I stop Windows from (I guess) checking for the printer? That is what I assume it is doing. I am using a HP Officejet 8600

  I have a bunch of JPG-files which I want to stitch together with Photoshop's Photomerge function. I choose File → Automate → Photomerge... and browse for the files. Photoshop opens the files and starts analyzing. I see the process bar filling and different phases are mentioned on the process bar. Nothing weird there. When the merging is done (and if I don't blink my eyes), I can see layers-palette is populated with the chosen files and, by quickly judging from the layer thumbnails, they're properly aligned. Sometimes the image window itself can be seen, but not always. Problem is that the layers and the image disappear in a flash. There is no error message. Everything is like prior starting the photomerge. No file has been changed. I could continue to use Photoshop normally. This is what I've tried so far: Loaded folder which has 38 JPG images, 4272 x 2848 and ˜ 5 megabytes per file Loaded the same files, but chose Use Files instead of Use Folder in the photomerge's window Loaded 19 JPG images, 4272 x 2848 and ˜ 5 megabytes per file Loaded 10 JPG images, ⇑ see above Loaded 5 JPG images, see above Loaded 3 JPG images, see above Scaled the images to 2256 x 1504 and ˜< 1 megabytes per file Loaded in a set of 38, 19, 10, 5, 3 Following steps are tested with these smaller files and with a set of 5 images Read Adobe's forums and reduced the amount of RAM Photoshop uses gradually from ˜ 80 % to 50 % (though I didn't understand the logic behind this) Would've reduced cache tile size to 128K, but it was set so already Disabled OpenGL Scaled the images to 800 x 533 and ˜ 100 kilobytes per file, loaded a set of 5 Read more unanswered threads around the internet In between each test I closed and reopened Photoshop. • How to change individual notification icons?

  I'm running Gnome3 (Ubuntu 11.04), and I want to know if its possible to customize my notification icons. For example, in the screenshot provided, I have a skype, and a dropbox icon. As you can see, they look terrible compared to the nicer UI icons to the right (volume, wifi, battery). I would like to know how to change these pesky icons for skype, dropbox, and any other notification that pops up. Thanks!

  Hi, so the question ist pretty much the title. I have a 3d volume loaded as raw data [256, 256, 256] = size(A). It contains only values of zero's and ones, where the 1's represent the structure and 0's the "air". I want to visualize the structure in matlab and then run an algorithm on it and put an overlay on it, let's say in the color red. So to be more precise: How do i visualize the 3d volume. 0's transparent, 1's semitransparent? Plot a line in the 3 d vis as an overlay? I already read the mathworks tutorials and they didn't help. I tried using the set command, but it fails completly saying for every property i try "invalid root property". I hope someone can help.

Basically, I was to overlay some text (text) at a given coordinate (x,y) I have the below function in a package; protected BufferedImage Process2(BufferedImage image){ Graphics2D gO = image.createGraphics(); gO.setColor(Color.red); gO.setFont(new Font( "SansSerif", Font.BOLD, 12 )); gO.drawString(this.text, this.x, this.y); System.err.println(this.text+this.x+this.y); return image; } I feel like im missing something patently obvious; every reference to Graphics2D I can find is dealing with either games or writing directly to a file but I just want a BufferedImage returned. with the overlay 'rendered' In the current code, the image appears out the end unchanged. • Creating a dynamic (video) Overlay on Google Maps on Android 2.1

  I'm trying to create a map overlay for displaying a video stream (MJPEG) on top of a Mapview. Currently I've a standalone activity that creates a data thread for fetching MJPEG video frames. I'm using a handler to send a frame (as a Bitmap) from the data thread to the main activity which then updates the UI. I'm not sure how I can implement "refresh" for updating my "overlayed" video stream. EDIT: What I mean by "refresh" is - how can I update the video portion (not the mapview) of my UI whenever I get a new video frame. I plan to paint the video frame (bitmap) in the "draw method" of my implementation of the Overlay subclass. But the "draw" method is not invoked by me directly. Thanks.

• Overlay 2d weapon sprite over character sprite ?

  Hello, I'm working on a game where my character needs to be able to have different weapons. For that I think that somehow overlaying the weapon over the moving sprite would be the correct choice, but I'm not sure about how could I do this. Assuming my Character spritesheet looks like this: And my preliminar weapon spritesheet ( haven't decided on a fixed square size for the weapon yet ), looks like this: How would you make the overlay to set the weapon correctly over the character hand for each of his frames? I know that one way would be just to have a weapon frame the same size as my character sprites, and overlay those too, but I think that if the game has way too much weapons (say 15 different kinds of one hand weaps) this could get pretty insane ( having one weapon sprite sheet the same size as the character sprite sheet for each type of weapon ) Do you guys have any advice on how to implement this? (supporting overlaying the weapon sprites over the character sprites) Thanks!

• Flash overlay snagging on underlying divs

  Flash overlay snags on underlying divs. What is the solution? I'm using Shadowbox to overlay a Flash file on my page, but the movement within the Flash file causes it to break or "shear" where the movie comes across the divs in the HTML hidden below. The screenshot shows it far better than I could explain ;) If you move the mouse, or tap the keyboard to "focus" the screen back on the Flash it all works seamlessly. Interestingly this seems worse in Firefox than the other browsers. Flash error image

• Horizontally and Vertically Center Modal Div IE Issue

  I'm trying to horizontally and vertically center a modal window inside a div. I want it to be cross browser compatible. You can see from the picture below that when I resize IE8 then click, "show modal" button it displays not exactly horizontally centered. This does not seem to be an issue with Chrome. Any thoughts? • Overlay image/map on MapView?

  Okay, hope you can help med here :) I have been searching everywhere to figure this out, but haven't had any luck. I know about Annotations and how to overlay them on a map on the iPhone. But what if I have location like in the forest where there arent any roads or anything. What I am asking is, how can I overlay a custom image (map) over the Map view so that it zooms the right way like the map, in the right scale, and can I add my own annotations on top of the custom image/map? Hop I was clear enough on what I am trying to do?

• different overlay specification in different beamer modes?

  I have a beamer frame with about 150 slides on it. I want article and handout mode to only show frame 92. Reading section 8.6.2 of the beamer manual it seems like I should be able to do something like \begin{frame}<handout:92> ... \end{frame} but that seems to have no effect--all 150 slides are set in handout mode, overlaying (making the result unreadable). I have gotten the effect I want by taking all commands within the frame that have an overlay specification and adding "| handout:0" to make them not appear in handout mode. Annoying, but works. But for my 150-slide frame the different slides are generated by a PGF \foreach loop so I can't code slide 92 differently from the rest. But can I do this at the frame's overlay specification?

• Make Div overlay ENTIRE page (not just viewport)??

  Hello, So I have a problem that I think is quite common but I have yet to find a good solution for. I want to make an overlay div cover the ENTIRE page... NOT just the viewport. I don't understand why this is so hard to do... I've tried setting body, html heights to 100% etc but that isn't working. • For Windows XP: How to uninstall Broadcom Bluetooth software that won't disappear

  Hello, my situation is similar to this question for Windows 7, except my OS is Windows XP SP3. I have recently realized I made the mistake of buying a Bluetooth adapter and installing the Broadcom/Widcomm Bluetooth stack driver software. Now that I know that the software is no good, I want to install it (so I can install the Toshiba stack for the Cirago adapter). I've attempted to uninstall all Bluetooth driver software in Device Manager, and I don't see any remnants of any Bluetooth drivers there. I don't see any folder names Broadcom or Widcomm in Program Files folder, either. • FireFox/NoScript: why has the NoScript icon disappeared?

  Why has the appearence of NoScript changed? Using Noscript in FireFox (Microsoft Windows): Until now there has been an icon (the S icon) in the lower right of the screen. But now there is an button instead with the text "Options". Left clicking this button seems to bring up the menu as right clicking the old icon. Can I restore the previous state? Is there an auto-update function in NoScript and if so could it have caused the change? If it exists can the auto-update function be disabled? Platform: FireFox 3.0.6, NoScript 1.9.0.6, Windows XP 64 bit, 8 GB RAM.
