    I uninstalled zend, cleaned it from the registry (it doesnt exist there).. when I go to localhost , I can see its favicon. Also my xampp port is blocked by the previous installation of zend that uses the port 80.. so I swapped xampps port to 8080.. it works..but I would rather to use port of 80.. is there a way to achieve so? perhaps changing zends port to something else? or how can I find who is listening to the same port.. By what I can see is that zend is still using the localhost..how i sthat possible

    I've installed a trial of Adobe Flash CS4 (i didn't use this trial till the end) and wrongly entered the expired license number. I ran uninstall and tried to install a trial version again. Seems, that it keeps somewhere the wrong serial number and each time i run the Flash application it alerts me, that the license has expired. How do i properly install the trial?     Hi.. By setting the bellow properties we can create the setup file automatically uninstall existing setup and install new setupfile. DetectNewerInstalledVersion:True RemovePreviousVersion:True But each and every setup file we need to change the version property of Setupfile. If it is, it won't through error while installing current setupfile otherwise it throws error: already installed. I am looking into how we can create the setup file without changing the version property of existing setupfile. Thanks.

For security purposes, access to these queues has been restricted to the current user (ServiceUser).     I've installed Update Service and MediaGo for my Sony Ericsson phone but one of the drivers that was installed along with the software is causing problems in Windows 7 x64. Looking in the Event Log I see the following warning: Detected unrecognized USB driver (\Driver\seehcri) This is the driver corresponding to the Sony Ericsson seehcri Control Device. The failure to recognize the USB driver is causing problems with other services, namely the VMware USB Arbitration Service. It should normally start automatically but, due to the failure to recognize the seehcri USB driver, it fails with the following error: Error 31: A device attached to the system is not functioning. Disabling the driver has not helped at all. The VMWare service still refuses to start and I keep getting both warnings in the Event Log. I would like to remove the Sony Ericsson driver but unfortunately, that's not possible. Uninstalling the Sony Ericsson seehcri Control Device from Device Manager causes Windows to almost completely freeze up while trying to look for drivers for unrecognized hardware. Windows tries over and over again to locate and install drivers for an Unknown device, failing every time. Looking in Device Manager, it simply fills up with hundreds of unknown devices, also using up the CPU to almost 85% in the process. What should I do? How can I safely remove the driver without causing Windows to look for a new driver?

    I have installed Dell Openmanage Server Agent 4.2.2 on Windows Server 2008. I need the newer version, so I need to install this version first. However, outside some registry references pointing to sources that aren't there, there is little or no trace of it being installed. For example, no trace of the program files or an entry in Prgrams And Features. Still, installing a newer version keeps coming up with an older version that needs to be removed first. When I try to install version 4.2.2 to repair and eventually remove it, it gives an error: Dell Openmanage Server Agent - Error An error was encountered while testing machine type. Failure openingen required handle to .DLL. Dell Openmanage Server Agent cannot continue the installation. Setup will exit now. I haven't found anything using different parts of the error messages as search terms.

    Anybody know how to remove the Ahnlab Policy agent? I was forced to install it so that I could connect to the campus network when I visited Korea. Now that I'm home, I would like to remove it. However, it resists all uninstallation efforts. It gives me an Access is denied error whenever I try to stop the service. Used AppRemover too, to no avail. Tried removing it in safe mode but it doesn't work either. Does anybody know of a solution short of booting up a Linux distro and deleting the Ahnlab files with it?

    I temporarily installed an old Creative Audigy 2 soundboard on my Vista x64 Home Premium computer. Bad idea! I uninstalled the board & all software visible on the control panel. Now, with one particular app. (Sibelius) I keep getting a start-up message "CTASIO Warning: Creative ASIO: there are no Creative audio products installed on the system that support ASIO". I offer this as a candidate for "Most useless message", but that's beside the point. I used a commercial registry cleaner (PC-Tools Registry Mechanic) and then edited the registry looking for "creative", "audigy" and "ASIO". After removing everything I could find, I still get the message. Any suggestions?

  • How is Apache still working?

    Recently, I decided to set up a local development environment for my work projects. I'm a PHP developer, with just enough knowledge of Linux and Apache to break things mightily. To get the local environment looking like my work environment, I had to upgrade PHP. When I did, Apache wouldn't restart. I decided I wanted to start fresh (this is where things went wrong) and that I'd reinstall Apache and PHP using MacPorts. So, I went through and tried to delete all the Apache files. Yup. I ran locate apache2 and deleted any folders that looked important. (I know, I know) Then I did a /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb to make sure everything was up to date. I even restarted my machine, just to make sure. The issue is, http://localhost still works. As does an alias I set up, http://butler. Shouldn't they not work? Now that I'm this far in, are there any tips for how to completely remove Apache so I can start over? Worst case, I have a timemachine backup, so I can always just restore that... Thanks in advance.

    Just bought a new HP pavilion desktop with Windows 8. I wish to totally remove Windows 8 and all data on the hard drive, remove any windows partitions, delete all data, and then install a fresh Linux. Problem is I can seem to get to boot from USB or boot from CD. It appears that Windows 8 added the following two "features": UEFI which substitutes what we have known as the BIOS Secure Boot which prevents anything but the installed operating system How do I completely and totally erase all traces of Windows 8? Is it still possible to reformat the hard drive? I don't want a duel boot, I don't want to go back to Windows 7, I just want anything Windows gone.
