  • Open Web Page in Windows 2008 R2 Task Scheduler runs forever

    I have a number of scheduled tasks which simply open a web page in Windows Server 2008 R2. They used to run and end without abending, but now they open and stay open and I have to setup the task to quit them by force before their next scheduled run. I've thought about installing CURL or WGET, but is there a way to do this with R2 without going to that step? Regards.

    I am trying to use the SQL Server 2008 Copy Database Wizard to copy a SQL Server 2008 database. I am using the SQL Management Object method. However, the copy fails with the following error: ERROR : errorCode=-1073548784 description=Executing the query "/* '==============================================..." failed with the following error: "Cannot use a CONTAINS or FREETEXT predicate on table or indexed view 'Product' because it is not full-text indexed."   • Webserver directory index: index.xml?

    Hello there, I am making my first RSS-Feed, and I want to host it like this: www.example.com/rss/ I tried to name the xml-file "index.xml" and place it inside the directory, however, when I type http://www.example.com/rss/ i arrive at "Index of /rss" where the file is listed as being part of the directory, but it is not loaded automatically. While I know DNSSEC provides various security enhancements for DNS, I would like to dive a bit deeper(for my own thirst for knowledge!) and would like to know what is still problematic security wise even after DNSSEC is employed? After all it can't have solved all programs DNS was having with regards to security, right? Thanks

    Hi everybody, Running BES 5.0, with an Salesforce Mobile application push. Works fine. We don't want the users to download and install other applications, so we disable this by a BES policy (disable Third Party Software Downloads). But when we disable this, the application push does not work anymore. Does anybody know/have experience with making an exception for certain applications or an exception for applications that are provided by application push from the BES? I am concerned about people who doesnt want my email clicking "report as junk"-button in hotmail, and understand that JMRP send me a message each times somebody clicks the button on one of my emails.     Hi, I am quite inexperienced with DNS, so this might be simple. Our main domain foo.com is hosted at provider A. Now, we would like to host bar.foo.com at some other provider B - they have the domain set up with them, so I figure that I can do this by somehow adding the nameserver at provider B to the DNS configuration at provider A. I previously tried * /-----/ 14400 /-----/ IN /-----/ A /-----/ (serverip) waited 30 hours and nothing. so i then tried * /-----/ 14400 /-----/ IN /-----/ CNAME /-----/ actvbiv.co.uk. waited another 30 hours, nothing Im now trying; *.actvbiz.co.uk /-----/ 14400 /-----/ IN /-----/ CNAME /-----/ actvbiv.co.uk.   • Windows 7: Menu 'New->Text document' is missing, when not admin user

    Hi, when I'm logged in as a user that is not member of the administrator group the entry to create a new textfile is missing from the right click "New" menu. If I give the user admin rights or start the explorer with admin rights the "New - text document" menu entry magically appears. As far as I can see the registry entries are correct. Anybody got a solution for that side effect of beeing a normal user in windows?? Regards

    Hi all There is a simple way to check the integrity of a backup made with Windows Backup in Windows 2008 Server Enterprise (not R2)? Today i tried to restore some files from a backup I made some days ago, and the Windows Backup snap-in reported that the file was unreadable. I think the corruption occurred due to the network share in wich the files were being stored went offline during the backup process, that was my fault. Regards Norberto
