  • Override Expires header for proxied content in Apache

    Hi, I am serving proxied content with Apache that already contains an Expires header. Using mod_expires' ExpireDefault to override the already present Expires header does not work, the old header is left untouched. Is there another way to override the Expires header? I tried using mod_headers, but it seems I cannot do date calculation there. I also must override the Expires header, I cannot use Cache-Control with max-age for this. Regards, Jochen

  • Linux static dhcp ip for visitor access internet without requesting MAC address?

    Currently, my company internet access for visitor are required to request MAC address from them if they want to access to internet. Can we do something like the Hotel wifi? they just access to the network and just key in the password, then they are able to access the internet for certain time of period. so far, i have looking for linux solution, but they are no such program/application available. do you all have any experience on it?     I would appreciate some help debugging my windows 2008 profile service. Any domain account that logs on to my 2008 machine gets a +- 20 second waiting time on "user profile service" I am using roaming profiles, they are around 8mb in size, and most folders are already redirected to a network share. event log registers no errors, there is more than 1 network card installed, but I have the correct card listed as "primary" Is there any way to increase verbosity of logging on specifically the "user profile service" ?     Hi, I am sure it is a dumb question, but I want to change the sender of mails sended by my Linux server (centos 5). All mails sent to user "dev" are forwarded via a /home/dev/.forward file, with this sender : [email protected]. host.mydomain.fr is the hostname of this server, but it's an internal server and it does not even have a public IP. How to have a sender like [email protected]? I try to change the "official domain name" (line begining by "Dj" but it change nothing). Regards Cédric

The 'Date modified' of the .VHD stays at the starttime of the VM. 1/How can we force an update of het VM while the VM is running? 2/Where aree the temporary changes kept?     I was curious and confused that what exactly is the behaviour of CTRl+Z. I know, If a process in running in foreground, and we press ctrl+z, it goes to background. But what exactly happens. Does it keep doing it's job, or does it get suspended, and stopped at the point where it was. Can someone please explain.     Hello, I'm looking for a nice way to add / remote ips (and possibly interact with an asset inventory system to track where ips are), start / stop processes, download logs, and all around genearal system admin duties from one place. It's okay if I require more than 1 program. That would still be better than having 50 million terminals open and trying to trace ip assignments etc on whiteboards.     I can't start amavis. It gives an error: Starting amavisd: Error in config file "/etc/amavis/conf.d/05-domain_id": Insecure directory in $ENV{PATH} while running with -T switch at /etc/amavis/conf.d/05-domain_id line 7. On line 7 is: chomp($mydomain = `head -n 1 /etc/mailname`); This problem occured after restaring my computer. I don't know much about amavis, so any help is appreciated. Regards, Kristian

Do opera create temporary file for these cookies and delete after restart (if yes what file), or store them in memory (RAM).     I've a Windows 7 installation with 2 users, one administrator and the other is not. If I try to logon with the standard user it show the Welcome Screen and them logoff immediately. If I logon with the administrator user or if I set the standard used as an administrator it works without problems. Any idea? It is so great to see such a supportive place - featuring the knowledge exchange! today i have the following thing to discuss: i want to separate the following data that are stored in one column of a calc-spreadsheet: See the following data: You see that there are the following categories:_ steet, postal-code, town All the data are stored in only one Colum; Well to be honest: i want to separate them into three colums steet, postal-code, town see the data: what can i do? note - you see that there are commas inbetween the enties: and besides this we see that we have a postal-code with four digits: that is a good thing. Perhaps we can use this as a marker that helps us to separate the data?! Perhaps See a data-sample!   • Is there a real problem in this Retrospect duplicate of my hard drive?

    I recently duplicated my XP "C" drive, using Retrospect. When it finished, there were 6 errors. I checked the log and the 1st error referred to Microsoft Security Essentials\Support\Applications.etl: Appears incomplete. The other 5 errors referred to the Microsoft SQL Server.....\MSSQL\log_...trc: Appears incomplete. Is this a problem that can be solved by reinstalling Microsoft Security Essentials? Or wht else?   • Slow ASP.NET site using IIS6

    Hi, I have two servers, one virtual and one physical, running the exact same site on both machines. Both machines are running on ~ 2% CPU load and very much RAM available for usage. Somehow the site, with cache turned off ofcourse, loads in ~ 500ms on the virtual machine (which is a dev-server by the way) but almost 3 full seconds on the physical machine. They're both running Server 2003, IIS6 aswell as asp.net version 2.0 Any ideas where I can start troubleshoot this? Best Regards LP
