  • How to use a properties file with Hudson in compilation time?

    Hi, I have a pom.xml that uses cxf-codegen-plugin to generate a couple of WS clients. Inside the configuration of cxf-codegen-plugin, there are the WSDL locations. I would like to externalize those strings to a env.properties file. I used org.codehaus.mojo's properties-maven-plugin to look inside src/main/resources/conf/app/env.properties. How can I make Hudson to replace those properties with the apropiate host? Thanks in advance

  • Jquery slider going the wrong way

    Im using a jquery slider and having an issue with what direction it scrolls on click. It seems to screw up after clicking the right arrow then left, but will scroll left if clicked first, weird. Is this a bug or am I missing something here? PS- Im using Chrome (Mac) but seems to behave the same with Firefox and Safari See example http://www.warface.co.uk/clients/warface.co.uk/blog/ Please click the red central arrow to reveal the slider.     What is the safest communication method between two applications on the same machine, both Java and C/C++ clients with a Java server. Are SSL sockets safe enough or they can be broken by "man in the middle" attacks? As i saw in the documentation and code samples, JSSE retrieves private/public keys and certificates from keystore files which a malicious user can see. The only thing that you can hide in the code is the password used to unlock the keystores. Can hackers retrieve that password?

    I'm implementing a distributed application, server with rails and mobile clients in objective c (iPhone). To enable internationalization, I use the rails plugin 'globalize2' by joshmh. However, it turned out that this plugin does not translate attributes when calling to_xml or to_json on an ActiveRecord. Does anyone know of a workaround / patch? Do you have any ideas how to fix this, where to alter globalize2? Using: Rails 2.3.5 globalize2: commit from 2010-01-11

    Is it possible to create Selenium tests using the Firefox plugin that use randomly generated values to help do regression tests? The full story: I would like to help my clients do acceptance testing by providing them with a suite of tests that use some smarts to create random (or at least pseudo-random) values for the database. One of the issues with my Selenium IDE tests at the moment is that they have predefined values - which makes some types of testing problematic.

  • How can one check for a binary in the GAC in a WiX installer?

    I have an application which depends on the Team Foundation Server "Object Model", and looks for such binaries in the GAC. This means that clients of the app need to install Visual Studio, or the standalone TFS object model in order to use the application. I would like the installer to detect that the TFS bits aren't installed, and fail to install appropriately if they are not. Is such a thing possible?

    It's always seemed a little at odds with the principles of Java that the Java Servlet Spec (2.5 version here) includes a set of magic attributes containing info about included resources, namely: javax.servlet.include.request_uri javax.servlet.include.context_path javax.servlet.include.servlet_path javax.servlet.include.path_info javax.servlet.include.query_string It's not even specifically pointed out in the API documentation, only in the spec where it is a must for correct implementation. This approach feels very wrong, an exposed implementation detail that clients will use and depend on. Why is this information exposed in this way?

    I am writing a simple REST service, which responds to requests from clients. All in PHP. My concern is, that when my server responds to a request, it could end up tying up resources if the client side is too slow in sending back "ok" response. How do I send a POST request via lib_curl setting it to not wait for any responses, but rather quit immidiately after the POST data have been sent? Is this even possible? Thank you !

My initial thought was this in my forms.py: client = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset=Client.objects.filter(user__username = User.username)) But it didn't work. So how else would I go about it?
