    I'm having a problem running the following code om Windows 7 x86 when creating an Image from a lzw encoded cmyk + alpha TIFF file.   • How to open AsyncTask from a Thread

    In my application I have created a SplashScreen that will b shown for 5 Seconds and after that it executes an if else case depending upon the values stored in the Preference file. If Preference file contains values then the AsyncTask code will run else the Login form will load. When i try to run my application. The thread is going to the Login form with the help of intent but when it comes to AsyncTask my application shows a force close error message.   • Adobe Reader unable to open downloaded file in IE6

    I'm working on a web app that allows users to downloaded dynamically generated PDF files. This works fine in IE8 and Firefox but fails in IE6 with Adobe Reader giving the message "there was an error opening this document. this file cannot be found" If I save the file to disk first then it opens fine in Reader. I've given the file a simple short filename, without spaces so not sure what else to try. Any suggestions are very welcome.

    I am developing a coverage data tool in eclipse cdt. I used gcov and build and execute my C program to generate .gcda and .gcno files. When double click on .gcda file to see the coverage data, below error message displays. An error has occurred. See error log for more details. org.eclipse.linuxtools.binutils.utils.STSymbolManager.demangle(Lorg/eclipse/cdt/core/IBinaryParser$IBinaryObject;Ljava/lang/String;Lorg/eclipse/core/resources/IProject;)Ljava/lang/String; But I already downloaded and save org.eclipse.linuxtools.binutils_4.0.0.201209191645.jar into plugins directory. Where am I doing wrong?

  • Open Source Log Aggregators?

    I have sixteen servers using Log4J logs, accessible by ssh. I want to see the output of all logs on my desktop machine. Apache Chainsaw can presumably do this, but the documentation isn't getting me there. "Put all the jars into your ~/.chainsaw directory", got that. "Chainsaw will automatically use the functionality in those JARs"? Nope. Chainsaw isn't picking up log4j-chainsaw-vfs.jar, by the look of it, so sftp is out. Any suggestions other than Chainsaw?

  • Open-source generic web service to database interface?

    I'm looking for a thin, generic layer (probably written in PHP) that sits between a database (probably MySQL) and web service clients (which could be anything). I imagine there would be config files of some sort that tell it how to map web service requests to database queries (or other DB commands). It would also need to handle authentication and authorization, of course. I've done some googling but failed to find anything that fits the bill. Can anyone suggest something like this?

  • .NET AxWebBrowser can't open page "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" error

    Oh, I am stuck again on this quiet annoying problem. I am trying to do a little automated browsing using the axWebBrowser component and it worked before. Now all of a sudden I get the following message when I try to browse to a page. Navigation to the webpage was canceled What you can try: Refresh the page. I totally disabled my firewall, ran VS2008 in Administrator mode, I even installed IE8 all to no avail. By the way IE8 doesn't work either. I don't know if the problem is related but all I get when I put a URL into IE8 is this message. Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage I don't so much mind that, I just really need to get my visual studio axWebBrowser working.

    I learning ASP.net, and am looking to create a rather straightforward WebForms ASP.net application, but I have very limited examples to work with. Is there a site that has a lot of ASP.net WebForms projects that are downloadable? Books seem to focus on narrow aspects of using Webforms, like session control, or using master pages, but I'm looking for examples of how a whole app comes together. Or, better yet, is there someone willing to help a new developer out one-on-one by sharing a project or two of his? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

    Is there a way to find custom tags in regexp I.e. match {a}sometext{/a} As well as {c=#fff}sometext{/c} So that it finds the entire block of inner content? The problem is the sometext could have another tag as in: {a=http://www.google.com}{b}Hello, world{/b}{/a} The only solutions I can come up with would match from {a... to .../b} when I want {a... to .../a} is there a single regexp solution, or would it be best to match the start, and then use another method to find the end from the back up, and grab it out that way? I'm using PHP 5.2 so I have all the options that entails.

  • IE Cannot open the internet site (no JS on the page)

    I know that there are many posts about this on Stackoverflow, but this one is different. All of the other fixes to this have to do with javascript, but I don't even have javascript on my page. None. And I am still getting this error. Was there any other reasons why this error was being caused? Also, it only happens when I visit my top navigation links, rather than the page directly from the url. Take a look at: http://www.mayandivers.com/see EDIT: This is happening in IE6/7.

    Hi there, I'm using WCF client like this... var client = new TestClient(); try { response = service.Operation(request); } finally { try { if (client.State != CommunicationState.Faulted) client.Close(); } catch (Exception) { client.Abort(); } } but from time to time I get 500 HTTP error which is the only answer I get for next 15 minutes, then everything is back to normal for 15 minutes and so on. I know there is some load balancing stuff going on service side but guys there can't find any problems with it. That's why I started wondering am I using WCF service correctly. I already made a mistake once when I was using "using" to close service connection and I'm afraid I doing something wrong again. So can anybody say whether my way of calling WCF service is correct or not in all (event the most rare) circumstances?

Closing and re-opening the file makes it editable again. As I save quite frequently, this can be a pain. Has anyone else run into this issue, and know any work-arounds?

    Hello For an embedded system with internet (which works under a set-top box) I want to develop a primitive Facebook interface where users can type their user-names and password, showing their latest notificationsa, messages and other casual stuff via the recent Facebook Graph API. This middleware program uses Java ME to run programs (such as this simple facebook app) and it can connect to internet however it doesn't have a real web browser.     I'm writing an extension which surfaces links to gmail messages. As the UI loads right in Gmail, I should be able to click on one of these links and have Gmail load it (without refreshing). I have "x-gm-msgid" available and theoretically, I should just be able to navigate to "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]". I've tried using location.hash = "#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]" I've tried using history.pushState(null, null, "/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]") Neither of which works. Gmail just thwarts any attempt to change the URL (unless it is done via user interaction) Any thoughts on how to get around this restriction?
