  • Is there a way to "redirect" a click on a URL in a VirtualBox guest to open in the host OS browser?

    - by Graeme Donaldson
I'm using VirtualBox OSE on Ubuntu 10.04. I have a Windows 7 guest VM which I use almost exclusively for MS Outlook to access my Exchange mailbox. If I click a URL in Outlook it obviously opens in IE in the guest VM, is there any way to have it perform a redirect of some sort? If I click a URL inside the VM, I want it to load in my default browser in the Ubuntu host.

  • URL to reboot a WebSTAR DPC2100R2 cable modem with curl?

    - by jtimberman
Does anyone know what the magic URL is for rebooting a WebSTAR DPC2100R2 with curl? I used to have a SurfBoard, and the curl command: curl http://192.168.100.1/reset.htm?reset_modem=Restart%20Cable%20Modem Would reset the modem. Sure, I can go power cycle it manually, but it's in the basement and I'm lazy :-). I did find out the URL to elevate the access permission, but nothing about rebooting/resetting yet.

  • How can I call a URL as a cron job in Webmin?

    - by EmmyS
(Possibly this belongs on stackoverflow, although it's not really a programming issue since the code works when run directly. If it needs to be moved, though, no problem.) I have a PHP file (which consumers a National Weather Service web service via SOAP, if it matters) that I need to run on a scheduled basis. I'm trying to set up a cron job in Webmin. If I use an absolute path to the file in the Command field, when I run it I get some strange errors: /var/www/html/mysite.com/test/ndfdXMLclient.php: line 1: ?php: No such file or directory /var/www/html/mysite.com/test/ndfdXMLclient.php: line 2: //: is a directory /var/www/html/mysite.com/test/ndfdXMLclient.php: line 3: //DOCUMENTATION: No such file or directory /var/www/html/mysite.com/test/ndfdXMLclient.php: line 4: //: is a directory /var/www/html/mysite.com/test/ndfdXMLclient.php: line 5: syntax error near unexpected token `"running client code",' /var/www/html/mysite.com/test/ndfdXMLclient.php: line 5: `error_log("running client code", 1, "[email protected]");' The actual code in my file for those 5 lines looks like this: <?php // *************************************************************************** //DOCUMENTATION FROM WEATHER.GOV ALL STORED IN xmlClientComments.txt // *************************************************************************** error_log("running client code", 1, "[email protected]"); The code runs perfectly fine when I run it directly in my browser, so why doesn't webmin recognize it as code? (The same thing happens if I enter the actual URL in the command field - http://mysite.com/test/ndfdXMLclient.php.) I've never worked with webmin before; most of our hosts' cron control panels allow cron jobs to run PHP files like this with no issue. Is there some trick to getting webmin to read php as actual php?

  • ASP.Net MVC 3: multiple versions of the site without changing of URL, is it possible?

    - by Seacat
Our website is written in ASP.NET MVC 3 and we want to change a feature in the core functionality of the site. The problem is not every client can be moved to this new version/format (because of some technical inner restrictions) so it means that we need to keep 2 versions of the same functionality (backend and frontend) simultaneously. We don't want our clients to worry about URLs, so the ideal solution would be keep the same URL but redirect clients to the different versions. The information about clients is stored in database. So the moment when user (client) logs in we know which version of site we should show. I'm thinking about routing and areas but I'm not sure if it's possible for example to have 2 areas with the different versions of the same application. Or is it possible to load the assemblies on the fly? After user is logged in we can decide if (s)he should be redirected to the new or old version. As far as all the clients have been moved to the new version we don't need this system more. How can I do this in ASP.NET MVC?

  • How to configure the roles in my tomcat application to work with JNDI(WIN AUTH)

    - by Itay Levin
Hi, I'm trying to change the authentication mode of my application from JDBC-REALM to JNDI-REALM. I configured the following section inside the Server.xml <Realm className="org.apache.catalina.realm.JNDIRealm" debug="99" connectionURL="ldap://****:389/DC=onsetinc,DC=com??sAMccountName?sub?(objectClass=*)" connectionName="[email protected]" connectionPassword="password" userBase="CN=Users" referrals="follow" userSearch="(sAMAccountName={0})" userSubtree="true" roleBase="CN=Users" roleName="name" roleSubtree="true" roleSearch="(member={1})"/> I have also configured the web.xml under my appfolder to contain the following: <security-role> <role-name>Admin</role-name> </security-role> <security-role> <role-name>WaterlooUsers</role-name> </security-role> <security-constraint> <web-resource-collection> <web-resource-name>Tube</web-resource-name> <url-pattern>/ComposeMessage.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/PageStatus.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/UserStatus.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/SearchEC.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/SearchEC2.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/SearchMessageStatisticsEC.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/SearchMessageStatus.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/SearchMessageStatisticsPager.jsp</url-pattern> <url-pattern>/SearchPageStatus.jsp</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection> <auth-constraint> <role-name>WaterlooUsers</role-name> </auth-constraint> </security-constraint> In my Active directory i have created a new group called WaterlooUsers It's distinguish name is : distinguishedName: CN=WaterlooUsers,CN=Users,DC=onsetinc,DC=com It has a property member which contains the following user: member: CN=Itay Levin,CN=Users,DC=onsetinc,DC=com (which is my user) My record on the active directory looks like that: sAMAccountName: itayL distinguishedName: CN=Itay Levin,CN=Users,DC=onsetinc,DC=com memberOf: CN=WaterlooUsers,CN=Users,DC=onsetinc,DC=com and when i get the popup for user/password i enter the username "ItayL" in the authentication message box (and my password) I have 2 questions: How do i configure correctly the roles parameters correctly in the Realm section in the server.xml to enable me to both authenticate and authorize both this group of users WaterlooUsers and also assign them to the appropriate role so that they can see all the relevant pages in my website. - currently it seems that all the Users in my domain are authenticated to the site but get the http-403 Error and can't access any of the pages in the site. I also want to be able to create 2 different set of roles in my site - which can both have access to the same pages - but will see different things on the page. (for instance adding some administrative ability to the admin) Hope it was clear enough and not too long. Thanks in advance, Itay

  • How to change mod_rewrite to avoid {REQUEST_FILENAME} in order to get around 255 character URL limit?

    - by Jeremy Reimer
According to this answer: max length of url 257 characters for mod_rewrite? there is a maximum 255 character hard limit based on the file system for using mod_rewrite. According to the accepted answer, there are two solutions: Change the URL format of your application to a max of 255 characters between each slash. Move the Rewrite rules into the apache virtual host config and remove the REQUEST_FILENAME. I cannot use the first method, so I am trying to figure out the second. I have put the Rewrite rules into the Apache virtual host config as requested. However I cannot figure out how to remove the REQUEST_FILENAME and still have my web application framework (Dragonfly) still work. Here is the portion of the rewrite rules that I moved from .htaccess into the virtual host config file of Apache: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-l RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f [OR] # if don't want Dragonfly to process html files comment # out the line below (you may need to remove the [OR] above too). RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} \.(html|nl)$ # Main URL rewriting. RewriteRule (.*) index.cgi?$1 [L,QSA] I've tried removing {REQUEST_FILENAME} and it just breaks the framework in various ways. How do I rewrite this without using {REQUEST_FILENAME}?

  • Debugging nginx URL rewrite: How do I figure out where the problem is?

    - by pjmorse
I have a specific URL pattern on a site which needs to be redirected to the HTTPS version. This is a Django site; Nginx checks each URL in memcached, and if it doesn't find a cached version it proxies the request to Apache/mod_python for Django to render the page. The relevant configuration block is rewrite ^/certificate https://mysite.com/certificate ; rewrite ^/([a-zA-Z]{2})/certificate https://mysite.com/certificate ; ...and it doesn't appear to be working at all. Nginx is: $ nginx -V nginx version: nginx/0.7.65 built by gcc 4.2.4 (Ubuntu 4.2.4-1ubuntu4) TLS SNI support disabled configure arguments: --prefix=/usr/local/nginx --pid-path=/var/run/nginx.pid --with-http_gzip_static_module --with-http_ssl_module How can I figure out if the problem is my patterns not matching, or a more obscure configuration problem? (The site is localized to three languages, and the localization is in the URL string, e.g. /US/news/, /DE/about, etc. It tracks localization in the session as well, defaulting to US, so if you just requested /news Django will rewrite to /US/news unless the user has a cookie indicating they're using a different localization. Django handles this, though, not Nginx.)

  • Cloned Centos 6.4 websrver for test purpose. Virtual host, .htaccess, redirecting url issue

    - by Shogoot
I see similar questions, but not my exact challenge. What I have done so far I cloned a prod server over to a vmware to use it as a test server for new functionality I'm going to write. I'm not a sysadmin by trade, but I'm new to this company and I have to do some thing that are outside of my comfort zone (thats a good thing :) ) The prod server has 2 sites on it s1.com and s2.com. In /html/s1/, /html/s2/ there's an .htaccess file under each s*/. Looking like this: RewriteEngine ON RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} id=([0-9]+) RewriteRule ^.* %1.htm RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} page=modules/checkout RewriteRule ^.* order.php RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} page=pages/sidekart RewriteRule ^.* pages/sidekart.htm The issue is that s1 has a lot of pages that really belongs under a third domain s3, the rule in line 4 and 5 redirects them to /html/s1/. An example of such URL is: s3.com/?page=modules/product&id=521614 I'm trying then to get those URLs (without modifying the URL) to redirect to s3's /html/s3/ server structure, which I set up making a new virtualhost s3 in test servers httpd.conf with a test3.com as servername and changing the other sites to tests1.com and tests2.com, and adding .htaccess also to this s3 root directory, and making a html/s3/ directory structure I populated with an index.html, etc. But, when I take the same URL (s3.com/?page=modules/product&id=521614) changing it to tests3.com/?page=modules/product&id=521614, I get s1's index page showing up in my browser. I've poked around about a day now and i cant figure out why this happens.

  • BIP and Mapviewer Mash Up I

    - by Tim Dexter
I was out in Yellowstone last week soaking up various wildlife and a bit too much rain ... good to be back until the 95F heat yesterday. Taking a little break from the Excel templates; the dev folks are planing an Excel patch in the next week or so that will add a mass of new functionality. At the risk of completely mis leading you I'm going to hang back a while. What I have written so far holds true and will continue to do so. This week, I have been mostly eating 'mapviewer' ... answers on a post card please, TV show and character. I had a request to show how BIP can call mapviewer and render a dynamic map in an output. So I hit the books and colleagues for some answers. Mapviewer is Oracle's geographic information system, hereby known as GIS. I use it a lot in our BIEE demos where the interaction with the maps is very impressive. Need a map of California and its congressional districts? I have contacts; Jerry and David with their little black box of maps. Once in my possession I can build highly interactive, clickable maps that allow the user to drill into more information using a very friendly interface driving BIEE content and navigation. But what about maps in BIP output? Bryan Wise, who has written some articles on this blog did some work a while back with the PL/SQL API interface. The extract for the report called a function that in turn called the mapviewer server, passing a set of mapping requirements, it then returned a URL to a cached copy of that map. Easy to then have BIP render that image. Thats still very doable. You need to install a couple of packages and then load the mapviewer java APIs into the database. Then you can write your function to the APIs. A little involved? Maybe, but the database is doing all the heavy lifting for you. I thought I would investigate another method for getting the maps back into BIP. There is a URL interface you can call, this involves building an XML message to be passed to the mapviewer server. It's pretty straightforward to use on the mapviewer side. On the BIP side things are little more tricksy. After some unexpected messing about I finally got the ubiquitous Hello World map to render using the URL method. Not the most exciting map in the world, lots of ocean and a rather long URL to get it to render. http://127.0.0.1:9704/mapviewer/omserver?xml_request=%3Cmap_request%20title=%22Hello%20World%22%20datasource=%22cagis%22%20format=%22GIF_STREAM%22/%3E Notice all of the encoding in the URL string to handle the spaces, quotes, etc. All necessary to get BIP to make the call to the mapviewer server correctly without truncating the URL if it hits a real space rather than a %20. With that in mind constructing the URL was pretty simple. I'm not going to get into the content of the URL too much, for that you need to bone up on the mapviewer XML API. Check out the home page here and the documentation here. To make the template portable I used the standard CURRENT_SERVER_URL parameter from the BIP server and declared that in my template. <?param@begin:CURRENT_SERVER_URL;'myserver'?> Ignore the 'myserver', that was just a dummy value for testing at runtime it will resolve to: 'http://yourserver:port/xmlpserver' Not quite what we need as mapviewer has its own server path, in my case I needed 'mapviewer/omserver?xml_request=' as the fixed path to the mapviewer request URL. A little concatenation and substringing later I came up with <?param@begin:mURL;concat(substring($CURRENT_SERVER_URL,1,22),'mapviewer/omserver?xml_request=')?> Thats the basic URL that I can then build on. To get the Hello World map I need to add the following: <map_request title="Hello World" datasource="cagis" format="GIF_STREAM"/> Those angle brackets were the source of my headache, BIPs XSLT engine was attempting to process them rather than just pass them. Hok Min to the rescue ... again. I owe him lunch when I get out to HQ again! To solve the problem, I needed to escape all the characters and white space and then use native XSL to assign the string to a parameter. <xsl:param xdofo:ctx="begin"name="pXML">%3Cmap_request%20title=%22Hello%20World%22 %20datasource=%22cagis%22%20format=%22GIF_STREAM%22/%3E</xsl:param> I did not need to assign it to a parameter but I felt that if I were going to do anything more serious than Hello World like plotting points of interest on the map. I would need to dynamically build the URL, so using a set of parameters or variables that I then concatenated would be easier. Now I had the initial server string and the request all I then did was combine the two using a concat: concat($mURL,$pXML) Embedding that into an image tag: <fo:external-graphic src="url({concat($mURL,$pXML)})"/> and I was done. Notice the curly braces to get the concat evaluated prior to the image call. As you will see next time, building the XML message to go onto the URL can get quite complex but I have used it with some data. Ultimately, it would be easier to build an extension to BIP to handle the data to be plotted, it would then build the XML message, call mapviewer and return a URL to the map image for BIP to render. More on that next time ...

  • mod_rewrite apache

    - by Peter
is there any way to hide redirected url, here is what I think: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://minteddomain.com/mint/pepper/tillkruess/downloads/tracker.php?url=http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI}&force So the long redirected url http://minteddomain.com/mint/pepper/tillkruess/downloads/tracker.php?url=http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} to something shorter like /mintedomain.com/track/ It is possible? Adrian edit: Andrew: This is a stats software Mint (haveamint.com) with File Download tracker plugin. The File Download tracker works in this way: in .htaccess every file (zip, rar, txt,...) is redirected to the tracker.php file (because the stats): http://mydomain.com/mint/pepper/tillkruess/downloads/tracker.php?url=http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} So the redirected url look like this for a zip file: http://minteddomain.com/mint/pepper/tillkruess/downloads/tracker.php?url=http://mydomain/downloads/apple.zip This redirected URL is very long and ugly. The best for me would be to redirect this redirected URL to something shorter URL: example: http://mydomain.com/track/downloads/apple.zip.. So the http://mydomain.com/track would be the http://minteddomain.com/mint/pepper/tillkruess/downloads/tracker.php

  • Using the Antenna and J2ME Polish preprocessors interchangeably and setting a variable value

    - by walter
I have J2ME code, which I want to be able to compile using the J2ME Polish preprocessor or the wtkpreprocessor (antenna). They mostly use the same directives so it usually works, but ... When I want to insert an URL value in the Java code this gives a problem. In Antenna the code would look like this: //#ifdef my.url //# System.out.println("My Url"); //#expand String location = "%my.url%"; //#else System.out.println("Default"); String location = "http://www.some.default.url.com"; //#endif and in J2ME Polish it would look like this: //#ifdef my.url:defined //# System.out.println("My Url"); //#= String location = "${my.url}"; //#else System.out.println("Default"); String location = "http://www.some.default.url.com"; //#endif I want some way in which I can use the preprocessors interchangeably and still be able to set the url in the build.xml, any ideas?

  • Conecting bash script with a txt file

    - by cathy
I have a txt file with 100+ lines called page1.txt; odd lines are urls and even lines are url names. I have a bash file already created that checks urls for completion. Except right now, the process is really manual because I have to modify the bash every time I need to check a url. So I need to connect the bash to the txt using the variable url. $url should get all the odd lines from page1.txt and check if the link is complete or not. Also, how would I write a variable called name that derives from the url the 7 digits? bash file manually: url=http://www.-------------/-/8200233/1/ name=8200233 lynx -dump $url > $name.txt I would prefer if the bash file could add "Complete/In-Complete " at the beginning of every even line in the page1.txt file but a new text file could be also created to keep track of the Completes/In-completes.

  • How to clear a Firefox address bar without selecting its content?

    - by zuba
Sometimes I need to move an url from an app to a browser. I select the url, say in gvim, and make Firefox window active. Then I see that I should clear address bar before pasting the new url, which requires selecting existing url, which wipes the new url from PRIMARY clipboard out. What is the best way to put the new url from PRIMARY clipboard to address bar? Is there a shortcut to clear address bar and then to move focus there? ps I know I can use Ctrl-C to put the new url to CLIPBOARD clipboard, but I prefer to use PRIMARY clipboard.

    - by Gyan
Hi, I am trying to use the svn vendor branch to upgrade the third party library. (We have modified the source code) I followed all the steps to create the vendor branch:: created the vendor branch for old version (3rd party library) created the vendor branch for latest version (3rd party library) copied the latest version to current folder using (usign svn_load_dirs.pl script) structure of vendor repository in svn URL/vendor/library/3.5.0 URL/vendor/library/3.7.0 URL/vendor/library/current I have the library-3.5.0 used/modified at URL/trunk/library/customized-library I have a problem when I try to merge the difference between URL/vendor/library/3.7.0 and URL/vendor/library/3.5.0 to URL/trunk/library/customized-library I am at the folder where URL/trunk/library/customized-library is checked out and I use following command to do the merge svn merge URL/vendor/library/3.5.0 URL/vendor/library/current . --accept PARAMETERS when I use theirs-conflict for accept parameter, It ignores all of my changes to the old version and copies files from 3.7.0 when I user mine-conflict, it ignores the files in 3.7.0 when I use postpone, it throws exception "tree conflict" Thanks Gyan

  • gallery2 and nginx with rewrite return file not found for file name with space (or + sign in url)

    - by Vangel
I have setup nginx with gallery2 on an internal server. Everything works fine under apache2 which I checked first, it used to be on apache2 Problem is: gallery2 seems to generate url with + sign in it for file names/ images which had spaces in it so a file like "may report.jpg" becomes "may+report.jpg" The URL rewrite works but gallery2 throws an error for file not found. THis does not happen under apache2. Here is my nginx rewrite rule: location / { index main.php index.html; default_type text/html; # If the file exists as a static file serve it # directly without running all # the other rewite tests on it if (-f $request_filename) { break; } } location /v/ { # if ($request_uri !~ /main.php) # { rewrite ^/v/(.*)$ /main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_path=$1 last; # } } location /d/ { if ($request_uri !~ /main.php) { rewrite ^/d/([0-9]+)-([0-9]+)/(.*)$ /main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=$1&g2_serialNumber=$2&g2_fileName=$3 last; } } location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:8889; fastcgi_index main.php; fastcgi_intercept_errors on; # to support 404s for PHP files not found fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; fastcgi_param SERVER_NAME $host; fastcgi_read_timeout 300; } the sit on its own works fine. only the images with spaces in file name do not display in album view and also when clicking the the image for full page view will throw this error Error (ERROR_MISSING_OBJECT) : Parent 103759 path report+april+456.flv in modules/core/classes/helpers/GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple.class at line 98 (GalleryCoreApi::error) in modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class at line 1853 (GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple::fetchChildIdByPathComponent) in modules/core/classes/helpers/GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple.class at line 53 (GalleryCoreApi::fetchChildIdByPathComponent) in modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class at line 1804 (GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple::fetchItemIdByPath) in modules/rewrite/classes/RewriteSimpleHelper.class at line 45 (GalleryCoreApi::fetchItemIdByPath) in ??? at line 0 (RewriteSimpleHelper::loadItemIdFromPath) in modules/rewrite/classes/RewriteUrlGenerator.class at line 103 in modules/rewrite/classes/parsers/modrewrite/ModRewriteUrlGenerator.class at line 37 (RewriteUrlGenerator::_onLoad) in init.inc at line 147 (ModRewriteUrlGenerator::initNavigation) in main.php at line 180 in main.php at line 94 in main.php at line 83 System Information Gallery version 2.2.4 PHP version 5.3.6 fpm-fcgi Webserver nginx/0.8.55 Database mysqli 5.0.95 Toolkits ImageMagick, Thumbnail, Gd Operating system Linux CentOS-55-64-minimal 2.6.18-274.18.1.el5 #1 SMP Thu Feb 9 12:45:44 EST 2012 x86_64 Browser Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/536.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/19.0.1084.52 Safari/536.5 In the report above there is usable system information if that helps. I know the nginx is old but it comes as default in centos repo and I am not sure if upgrading will fix the problem or break something else it seems gallery2 must map the + to space internally but why it's not doing so with nginx I can't tell. EDIT: I just verified that if I change the '+' sign to %20 then gallery2 works. but gallery2 is generating URL as +. I found a (maybe) related problem here for IIS7 and Gallery2 http://forums.asp.net/t/1431951.aspx EDIT2: Accessing the URL without rewrite and having the + sign works. Must be something to do with rewrite. Here is the relevant apache2 rule that might be of help RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /d/([0-9]+)-([0-9]+)/([^/?]+)(\?.|\ .) • Interrupted Upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04

    - by Tamil
My upgrade using alternative iso from 11.10 to 12.04 got interrupted and I had to hard restart my machine. Now I feel that everything is recovered except my already installed packages like vim. • PowerShell Script To Find Where SharePoint 2010 Features Are Activated

    - by Brian Jackett
The script on this post will find where features are activated within your SharePoint 2010 farm.   Problem    Over the past few months I’ve gotten literally dozens of emails, blog comments, or personal requests from people asking “how do I find where a SharePoint feature has been activated?”  I wrote a script to find which features are installed on your farm almost 3 years ago.  There is also the Get-SPFeature PowerShell commandlet in SharePoint 2010.  The problem is that these only tell you if a feature is installed not where they have been activated.  This is especially important to know if you have multiple web applications, site collections, and /or sites.   Solution    The default call (no parameters) for Get-SPFeature will return all features in the farm.  Many of the parameter sets accept filters for specific scopes such as web application, site collection, and site.  If those are supplied then only the enabled / activated features are returned for that filtered scope.  Taking the concept of recursively traversing a SharePoint farm and merging that with calls to Get-SPFeature at all levels of the farm you can find out what features are activated at that level.  Store the results into a variable and you end up with all features that are activated at every level.    Below is the script I came up with (slight edits for posting on blog).  With no parameters the function lists all features activated at all scopes.  If you provide an Identity parameter you will find where a specific feature is activated.  Note that the display name for a feature you see in the SharePoint UI rarely matches the “internal” display name.  I would recommend using the feature id instead.  You can download a full copy of the script by clicking on the link below.    Note: This script is not optimized for medium to large farms.  In my testing it took 1-3 minutes to recurse through my demo environment.  This script is provided as-is with no warranty.  Run this in a smaller dev / test environment first.   001 002 003 004 005 006 007 008 009 010 011 012 013 014 015 016 017 018 019 020 021 022 023 024 025 026 027 028 029 030 031 032 033 034 035 036 037 038 039 040 041 042 043 044 045 046 047 048 049 050 051 052 053 054 055 056 057 058 059 060 061 062 063 064 065 066 067 068 function Get-SPFeatureActivated { # see full script for help info, removed for formatting [CmdletBinding()] param(   [Parameter(position = 1, valueFromPipeline=$true)]   [Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell.SPFeatureDefinitionPipeBind]   $Identity )#end param   Begin   {     # declare empty array to hold results. • duplicate cache pages: Varnish

    - by Sukhjinder Singh
Recently we have configured Varnish on our server, it was successfully setup but we noticed that if we open any page in multiple browsers, the Varnish send request to Apache not matter page is cached or not. If we refresh twice on each browser it creates duplicate copies of the same page. What exactly should happen: If any page is cached by Varnish, the subsequent request should be served from Varnish itself when we are opening the same page in browser OR we are opening that page from different IP address. • How to go about converting this classic asp to asp.net

    - by Phil
    I have some classic asp code that needs converting to asp.net. So far I have tried to achieve this using datareaders and repeaters and had no luck as the menu loops through 4 different record sets, passing along the menuNid before moving to the next record. Please can you tell me what method you would use to conver this code... i.e datareaders? dataset? etc? Thanks <% set RSMenuLevel0 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from T where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = 0 and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") %> <% if session("JavaScriptEnabled") = "False" Then %> <% while not RSMenuLevel0.EOF if RSMenuLevel0("Publish") <> 0 then Menu0heading = RSMenuLevel0("Heading") Menu0id = RSMenuLevel0("id") %> <%if RSMenuLevel0("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel0("moduleid") = 0 then%> &nbsp;<a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel0("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel0("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu0heading%></a> <%else%> &nbsp;<a href="/default.asp?id=<%=Menu0id%>"><%=Menu0heading%></a> <%end if%> <% end if RSMenuLevel0.MoveNext wend %> <% else %> <ul id="Menu1" class="MM"> <%if home <> 1 then%> <!-- <li><a href="/default.asp"><span class="item">Home</span></a> --> <%end if%> <% numone=0 while not RSMenuLevel0.EOF ' numone = numone + 1 Menu0heading = RSMenuLevel0("Heading") 'itemID = lcase(replace(Menu0heading," ","")) Menu0id = RSMenuLevel0("id") if RSMenuLevel0("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel0("moduleid") = 0 then url = RSMenuLevel0("url") if instr(url,"file:///") > 0 then %> <li><a href="<%=RSMenuLevel0("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel0("urltarget")%>" <%if numone=1 then%>class="CURRENT"<%end if%>><span class="item"><%=Menu0heading%></span></a> <%else%> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel0("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel0("urltarget")%>" <%if numone=1 then%>class="CURRENT"<%end if%>><span class="item"><%=Menu0heading%></span></a> <%end if%> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel0("id")%>" <%if numone=1 then%>class="CURRENT"<%end if%>><span class="item"><%=Menu0heading%></span></a> <%end if%> <% set RSMenuLevel1 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from T where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = " & Menu0id & " and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") if not RSMenuLevel1.EOF then %> <ul> <% while not RSMenuLevel1.EOF Menu1heading = RSMenuLevel1("Heading") Menu1id = RSMenuLevel1("id") if RSMenuLevel1("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel1("moduleid") = 0 then url = RSMenuLevel1("url") if instr(url,"file:///") > 0 then %> <li><a href="<%=RSMenuLevel1("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel1("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu1heading%></a> <%else%> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel1("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel1("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu1heading%></a> <%end if%> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel1("id")%>"><%=Menu1heading%></a> <%end if%> <% set RSMenuLevel2 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from T where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = " & Menu1id & " and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") if not RSMenuLevel2.EOF then %> <ul> <% while not RSMenuLevel2.EOF Menu2heading = RSMenuLevel2("Heading") Menu2id = RSMenuLevel2("id") if RSMenuLevel2("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel2("moduleid") = 0 then %> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel2("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel2("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu2heading%></a> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel2("id")%>"><%=Menu2heading%></a> <%end if%> <% set RSMenuLevel3 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from T where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = " & Menu2id & " and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") if not RSMenuLevel3.EOF then %> <ul> <% while not RSMenuLevel3.EOF Menu3heading = RSMenuLevel3("Heading") Menu3id = RSMenuLevel3("id") if RSMenuLevel3("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel3("moduleid") = 0 then %> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel3("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel3("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu3heading%></a></li> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel3("id")%>"><%=Menu3heading%></a></li> <%end if%> <% RSMenuLevel3.MoveNext wend %> </ul> <% end if RSMenuLevel2.MoveNext %> </li> <% wend %> </ul> <% end if RSMenuLevel1.MoveNext %> </li> <% wend %> </ul> <% end if RSMenuLevel0.MoveNext %> </li> <% wend %> </ul> <% end if %>

  • Is it possible to convert this asp to asp.net?

    - by Phil
    I have been tasked with sifting through the worst classic asp spaghetti i've ever come across. The script runs a series of recordsets in sequence, getting 1 record at a time. As the record is built it takes the id and passes it to the next loop, which gets data, and passes on the id to the next loop. It then continues in this manner and builds an unordered list, kicking out the required html as it goes. Here are my efforts so far: have a class delivering data via sqldatareaders and output these to nested repeaters (this failed due to not being able to loop and get the id) Have a datatable populated with all the required data, then datatable.select to filter it out. have 4 datareaders looping and building the ul arraylists (I couldnt get the id's to match up) Please can you suggest the best method (with a bit of sample code if possible) to go about doing this conversion? Here is the code (sorry its long / horrible / spaghetti!!!) <% set RSMenuLevel0 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from Grouping where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = 0 and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") %> <% if session("JavaScriptEnabled") = "False" Then %> <% while not RSMenuLevel0.EOF if RSMenuLevel0("Publish") <> 0 then Menu0heading = RSMenuLevel0("Heading") Menu0id = RSMenuLevel0("id") %> <%if RSMenuLevel0("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel0("moduleid") = 0 then%> &nbsp;<a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel0("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel0("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu0heading%></a> <%else%> &nbsp;<a href="/default.asp?id=<%=Menu0id%>"><%=Menu0heading%></a> <%end if%> <% end if RSMenuLevel0.MoveNext wend %> <% else %> <ul id="Menu1" class="MM"> <%if home <> 1 then%> <!-- <li><a href="/default.asp"><span class="item">Home</span></a> --> <%end if%> <% numone=0 while not RSMenuLevel0.EOF ' numone = numone + 1 Menu0heading = RSMenuLevel0("Heading") 'itemID = lcase(replace(Menu0heading," ","")) Menu0id = RSMenuLevel0("id") if RSMenuLevel0("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel0("moduleid") = 0 then url = RSMenuLevel0("url") if instr(url,"file:///") > 0 then %> <li><a href="<%=RSMenuLevel0("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel0("urltarget")%>" <%if numone=1 then%>class="CURRENT"<%end if%>><span class="item"><%=Menu0heading%></span></a> <%else%> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel0("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel0("urltarget")%>" <%if numone=1 then%>class="CURRENT"<%end if%>><span class="item"><%=Menu0heading%></span></a> <%end if%> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel0("id")%>" <%if numone=1 then%>class="CURRENT"<%end if%>><span class="item"><%=Menu0heading%></span></a> <%end if%> <% set RSMenuLevel1 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from Grouping where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = " & Menu0id & " and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") if not RSMenuLevel1.EOF then %> <ul> <% while not RSMenuLevel1.EOF Menu1heading = RSMenuLevel1("Heading") Menu1id = RSMenuLevel1("id") if RSMenuLevel1("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel1("moduleid") = 0 then url = RSMenuLevel1("url") if instr(url,"file:///") > 0 then %> <li><a href="<%=RSMenuLevel1("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel1("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu1heading%></a> <%else%> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel1("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel1("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu1heading%></a> <%end if%> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel1("id")%>"><%=Menu1heading%></a> <%end if%> <% set RSMenuLevel2 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from Grouping where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = " & Menu1id & " and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") if not RSMenuLevel2.EOF then %> <ul> <% while not RSMenuLevel2.EOF Menu2heading = RSMenuLevel2("Heading") Menu2id = RSMenuLevel2("id") if RSMenuLevel2("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel2("moduleid") = 0 then %> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel2("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel2("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu2heading%></a> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel2("id")%>"><%=Menu2heading%></a> <%end if%> <% set RSMenuLevel3 = conn.execute("select id, DepartmentID, GroupingID, Heading, OrderID, Publish, moduleid, url, urltarget " &_ "from Grouping where (DepartmentID = 0 and GroupingID = " & Menu2id & " and Publish <> 0) order by OrderID") if not RSMenuLevel3.EOF then %> <ul> <% while not RSMenuLevel3.EOF Menu3heading = RSMenuLevel3("Heading") Menu3id = RSMenuLevel3("id") if RSMenuLevel3("url") > "" and RSMenuLevel3("moduleid") = 0 then %> <li><a href="http://<%=RSMenuLevel3("url")%>" target="<%=RSMenuLevel3("urltarget")%>"><%=Menu3heading%></a></li> <%else%> <li><a href="/default.asp?id=<%=RSMenuLevel3("id")%>"><%=Menu3heading%></a></li> <%end if%> <% RSMenuLevel3.MoveNext wend %> </ul> <% end if RSMenuLevel2.MoveNext %> </li> <% wend %> </ul> <% end if RSMenuLevel1.MoveNext %> </li> <% wend %> </ul> <% end if RSMenuLevel0.MoveNext %> </li> <% wend %> </ul> <% end if %>
