  • When does IE7 recompute styles? Doesn't work reliably when a class is added to the body.

    I have an interesting problem here. I'm using a class on the element as a switch to drive a fair amount of layout behavior on my site. If the class is applied, certain things happen, and if the class isn't applied, they don't happen. The relevant CSS is roughly like this: .rightSide { display:none; } .showCommentsRight .rightSide { display:block; width:50%; } .showCommentsRight .leftSide { display:block; width:50%; } And the HTML: <body class="showCommentsRight"> <div class="container"></div> <div class="leftSide"></div> <div class="rightSide"></div> </div> <div class="container"></div> <div class="leftSide"></div> <div class="rightSide"></div> </div> <div class="container"></div> <div class="leftSide"></div> <div class="rightSide"></div> </div> </body> I've simplified things but this is essentially the method. The whole page changes layout (hiding the right side in three different areas) when the flag is set on the body. This works in Firefox and IE8. It does not work in IE8 in compatibility mode. What is fascinating is that if you sit there and refresh the page, the results can vary. It will pick a different section's right side to show. Sometimes it will show only the top section's right side, sometimes it will show the middle. I have tried a validator (to look for malformed html), double css formatting, and making sure my IE7 hack sheet wasn't having an effect. So my question is: * Is there a way that this behavior can be made reliable? * When does IE7 decide to re-do styling? Thanks everyone.

"from Transaction trans where trans.envelopeId=:envelopeId" I get the message "Transaction is not mapped [from Transaction trans where trans.envelopeId=:envelopeId]". Transaction is an interface, I have to entity classes that implement it, I want on HQL query to return a Collection of type Transaction.

  • replace html tags within xml content with wordML formatting tags

    I am taking an XML document and creating a word document using XSLT and OpenXML. The problem is that when I create the word document, all of the HTML that is within the CDATA tags are not escaped and look like this: GET /recipe/recipe/cat.php/&gt;&quot;&gt;&lt;script&gt;alert(document.domain)&lt;/script&gt; I have tried defining "cdata-section-elements" in my xsl:output; however I receive an error stating that p tag doesn't match the w:t tag.(the p tag is apart of the CDATA HTML).     In section 10.4, The Definitive ANTLR reference tells you to override mismatch() & recoverFromMismatchedSet() if you want to exit upon the first parsing error. But, at least in ANTLR 3.2, it appears that there is no mismatch() method, and the recoverFromMismatchedSet() documentation says that it is "Not Currently Used". So it appears things have changed since the book was published. What am I supposed to do instead to exit upon the first parsing error in ANTLR 3.2?

    Background: I have been attempting to read the rating that is assigned in Adobe Bridge CS3 using the creative commons Metadata toolkit for php without success. I am using shared hosting so I do not have an oppotunity to recompile php with different modules. Is php code available that could be used to read the rating that is embedded in the .jpg file? I have read that this is an xmp (xml) formatted section within the file.

    I think I may be missing the obvious but I'm not sure. The section on subclassing NSDocument in the docs states that subclasses of NSDocument must override one reading and one writing method. If I'm creating a viewer application that will not write anything back, do I still need to override a writing method (returning what, nil?) or can I ignore it and make sure that there are no saving methods that can get called?
