• Trouble sending html in email with Pony gem

  Hi, I've found this gem to be a great and easy way to send mail but I can't seem to send any html in it. If I write the following: Pony.mail( :to => message[:to], :from => @account[:from], :subject => message[:subject], :content_type => 'text/html', :html_body => "<h1>hey there!</h1>", :via => :smtp, :smtp => { :host => MY_HOST, :port => PORT, :auth => AUTH, :user => MY_USER, :password => MY_PASSWORD, :tls => true } ) The code above send a mail but the message appears to be empty in gmail. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this. Thanks.

• How to open email by x-gm-msgid in Gmail with Javascript

  I'm writing an extension which surfaces links to gmail messages. As the UI loads right in Gmail, I should be able to click on one of these links and have Gmail load it (without refreshing). I have "x-gm-msgid" available and theoretically, I should just be able to navigate to "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]". I've tried using location.hash = "#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]" I've tried using history.pushState(null, null, "/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]") Neither of which works. Gmail just thwarts any attempt to change the URL (unless it is done via user interaction) Any thoughts on how to get around this restriction?

• Outlook 2007 addins for filtering attachments accordingly to recipients.

  My question is that I need to send attached mail to domain users and non domain users. Domain users will receive .lnk of the attached file where as non domain users will receive physical file. Now I am doing by capturing send event of outlook and internally divided mail in two parts for domain users I crated .lnk of the file and attached it and sent to user. Where as for non domain users i attached the physical file and sent to the user. But these things are done by sending two mails internally so I am not able to maintain CC, BCC information. I need to do these things in one mail. So it is possible in outlook addins to filter attachments accordingly to recipients.

• Sending email from Drupal contact form, but GMail marks it as "Forged"

  Hi, My Drupal site sends email to a GMail account, but the emails sent all go into the Spam folder, and GMail puts up a bar with the message "This message was likely forged and did not originate from your account." Although I can create a filter to prevent them going to Spam, I want to start sending newsletters, and I suspect they'll have the same problem. I suspect the problem is with the way I've set up either PHP or Drupal to send mail. As far as I know it's just using the sendmail function. I've set the from address to "info@..." where ... is the site domain. Any tips on how I can make set up my outgoing mail so it won't be refused by GMail (and presumably other major mail providers)?   Hi, I'm trying to understand how mod_rewrite works. I've been using it before but this week I tried to write rules to a new website and it doesn't works.   I runned into a problem with my regular expressions, I'm using regular expressions for obtaining data from the string below: "# DO NOT EDIT THIS MAIL BY HAND #\r\n\r\n[Feedback]:hallo\r\n\r\n# DO NOT EDIT THIS MAIL BY HAND #\r\n\r\n" So far is got it working with: String sFeedback = Regex.Match(Message, @"\[Feedback\]\:(?<string>.*?)\r\n\r\t\n# DO NOT EDIT THIS MAIL BY HAND #").Groups[1].Value; This works except if the header is changed, therefore I want the regex to read from [feedback]: to the end of the string. (symbols, ascii, everything..) I tried: \[Feedback]:(?<string>.*?)$ Above regular expression does work in some regular expression builders online but in my c# code its not working and returns a empty string. can someone help me with this regular expression? thanks in advance

• How many parameters in C# method are acceptable?

  I am new to C# and have to maintain a C# Application. Now I'v found a method vaving 32 Parameters (not auto-generated code). From C/C++ I remember the rule of thumb "4 Parameters". It may be an old-fashioned rule rooting back to old 0x86 compilers, where 4 Parameters could be accomodated in registers (fast) or on stack otherwise. I am not concerning about performance, but I do have a feeling, that 32 parameters per functions are not easy to maintain even in C#. Or am I completly not up to date? What is the rule of thumb for C#? Thank you for any hint!

  I took Jeff's Re-write rules from this post and the HTTP to HTTPS conversion works great. However, going back to HTTP is giving me problems because of the ReturnUrl= in the URL (I'm using webforms).   My web framework (cakephp) uses the following rewrite conditions and rule: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [QSA,L] I serve up a lot of image files (~10 a second). I'm wondering if it would improve performance to have a rewrite rule that exempted requests for files in my images directory from even trying those rewrite conditions (checking whether the file exists). My traffic is constantly fluctuating, so this would be hard to benchmark, which is why I thought I'd ask here. If that would be beneficial, how might I exclude files in "/images" directory from trying those conditions and rewrite rule?

Say we have the following scenario; You're browsing a web-mail client, that uses the web database to store mail drafts after you've written some information you close the web browser. What's to stop me from getting access to this information? If the webpage tries to clean out old information when opened a user-script could easily prevent the website from fully loading and then search through the database.   I need to create rules for web.config that will rewrite all requests for files with extension .html to .asp and redirect all .asp requests to .html Example: file_xyz.asp rewrites to file_xyz.html directory1/file_xyz.asp rewrites to directory1/file_xyz.html and file_xyz.html redirects to file_xyz.asp directory1/file_xyz.html redirects to directory1/file_xyz.asp What is the syntax for the rule Is this too broad a rule? If I should need for what ever reason to have a physical file such as file_abc.html how do I exclude it from the redirect rule? I am thinking I should just use ISAPI_Rewrite http://www.isapirewrite.com/ there seems to be a ton of resources out there for rewriting with htaccess and very little online help for using IIS 7 URL rewrite.   I have a website, which has numerous subdirectories already. (All existing in server's filesystem) I want to create new "virtual" sub-dirs with htaccess, but I only want the htaccess rule work for directories, listed in DB, and not existing in filesystem. i.e. File system has: /dir1/ & /dir2/ MySQL database has record for 'dir3' & 'dir4' And I want: A: mysite.com/dir1/ and mysite.com/dir2/ display existing old content B: mysite.com/dir3/ and mysite.com/dir4/ display content from MySQL provided by PHP sctipt via redirect like: mysite.com/myscript.php?dir=dir3 C: mysite.com/dir5/ display 404 error (Dir does not exist in DB nor in Database) Basically I want .htaccess to work like this: IF DIR Exists in DB - apply the rewrite rule and show content from myscript.php?dir=DIR ELSE don't apply any rule. I can create a separate php script, which can return 0/1 when given dir name exist in DB or not, but how do I make mod_rewrite get the data from that script? Is it possible with htaccess/PHP at all?

  I have the following rule on my local dev site and it works fine: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^localhost$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] However when I change it to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] and upload it to my live site it doesn't work, if i change the rule to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] the rule functions as expected and directs an url beginning with www.domain.com/subdomains/ to www.example.com/. Does anyone know what is going on here? Thanks for you help.
