    I am using Ubuntu 10.04 and for some time I had to keep a downgraded PHP 5.2 package because I need to run Zend encrypted scripts. Recently I noticed that Zend released beta version of their loader (http://forums.zend.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1365&start=80#p22073) so I updated to the native PHP 5.3 package, downloaded the .so file, added this to php.ini ;zend_extension=/etc/php5/ZendOptimizer.so zend_extension=/etc/php5/ZendGuardLoader.so zend_loader.enable=1 zend_loader.disable_licensing=0 zend_loader.obfuscation_level_support=3 and restarted the server. Now I am getting this error: Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format major ID 1, whereas the Loader expects 4 in ... on line 0 Do you by chance know an easy fix for this? Or should I downgrade back and wait till when they release something more stable?

I can do this with ILMerge from the command-line, but I want to integrate this merging of reference assemblies and projects into the Visual Studio project. From my reading, I understand that I can do this through a MSBuild Task or a Target and just add it to a C#/VB.NET Project file, but I can find no specific example since MSBuild is large topic. How do I integrate ILMerge into a Visual Studio (C#/VB.NET) project, which are just MSBuild projects, to merge all referenced assemblies (copy-local=true) into one assembly? How does this tie into a possible ILMerge.Targets file?

  • VS2010 Assembly Load Error

    I am getting the following error when I try to build an ASP.NET 4 project in Visual Studio 2010: "Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Dev\project\trunk\bin\Elmah.dll' or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)". I have verified that the dll does, in fact, exist, and is getting copied to the bin folder correctly. I have also tried removing and then re-adding the reference to the project. The build only fails when I switch the Solution Configuration to "Release". It does not fail when the Solution Configuration is set to "Debug".     I'm looking for a way to programmatically alter the video properties in Windows 7. I'd like to toggle the Multiple display state (as seen in Control Panel Appearances and Personalization Display Screen Resolution) between "Extend these displays" and "Show desktop only on 1". This is the sort of thing that I think is probably doable just by knowing the right Windows executable/dll to invoke with the right parameters and bundling that into a script or shortcut, but if so that information eludes me. Actual code solutions are fine, of course, but I'd like the change to be permanent and not just disable the other monitor(s) for the duration of the application.

  • F# PowerPack 2.0.0.0 issue: The task ..."…\fslex.exe" is invalid

    I have upgraded F# PowerPack today to the latest 2.0.0.0 and tried to rebuild the MiniCalc sample from here: http://achrissmith.blogspot.com/2010/04/fslex-and-fsyacc-examples-updated.html If I build it in VS 2010 it fails with the message: C:\Program Files\MSBuild\FSharp\1.0\FSharp.PowerPack.targets(32,3): error MSB6004: The specified task executable location "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\fslex.exe" is invalid. If I build it from the command line by MSBuild it complains about missing C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\fslex.exe The problem is kind of “fixed” if I copy fslex and fsyacc to that both directories, so after that I can build from the command line and from VS 2010. But it does not look like a right way to solve the problem. What is the right way? EDIT: The same issue is true for the PowerPack sample from sources: May2010\workyard\tests\LexAndYaccMiniProject. Now (after the trick I have done) it is built fine, too.

  • Android: How to receive process signals in an activity to kill child process ?

    My application calls Runtime.exec() to launch an executable in a separate process at start up time. I would like this child process to get killed when the parent activity exits. Now I can use onDestroy() to handle regular cases, but not "Force quit", shutdowns from DDMS, or kill from the console since those don't run onDestroy(). The addShutdownHandler() does not seem to be invoked in these cases either. Is there any other hook or signal handler that informs my activity that it's about to get terminated ? As an alternative is there a way to have the system automatically kill the child process when the parent dies ?

    I've read that the gcc compiler can perform certain optimization when compiling an application that references a static library, for instance - it will "pull" in only that code from the static library that the application depends upon. This helps keep the size of the application's executable to a minimum if portions of the static library are not being used by the app. 1) Is this true? 2) How does GCC know what code from the static library the application is actually using? Does it only look t the header files that are included (directly and indirectly) in the application and then pull code accordingly? Or does it actually look at what methods from the static library are being called?

  • How to add “chapters” or “bookmarks” to movies?

    Is there an easy way to add chapters to existing movie files? Note: Actually, I’m not 100% sure if they’re called “chapters” in video files, but it’s the same concept as DVDs. I assume this differs with the video encoding, but any help at all is progress! I have video files in various formats (although .mov, .mp4, and .m4v are my most common). I’m on Mac OS X, but I posted here (instead of the Apple Q&A) because I figured any answers may be useful to other non-Apple power users. Apple-native, application-based solutions preferred (usability is top of my list). However, command-line programs and utilities that do the job are just as welcome. Please share any indirect-but-related wisdom you may have on this topic. Thanks!

    Hi, I installed the VS2010 and .NET 4.0, then I compiled an assembly and ran the gacutil using the exe available on %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools The output of the executable said the assembly was sucessfully installed on Global Assembly Cache. However, when I go to %WINDIR%\assembly folder I cannot find the assembly I installed using the .NET Framework 4.0 gacutil. I've seen some posts saying the .NET Framework 4.0 has a separated GAC, but what I haven't found was where it is located. May someone to help me to check where can I see the Global Assembly Cache of .NET Framework, as it used to work on previous version (%WINDIR%\assembly)?

    Hi, I'm trying to get a page with an ISO-8859-1 encoding clicking on a link, so the code is similar to this: page_result = page.link_with( :text => 'link_text' ).click So far I get the result with a wrong encoding, so I see characters like: 'T?tulo:' instead of 'Título:' I've tried several approaches, including: Stating the encoding in the first request using the agent like: @page_search = @agent.get( :url => 'http://www.server.com', :headers => { 'Accept-Charset' => 'ISO-8859-1' } ) Stating the encoding for the page itself page_result.encoding = 'ISO-8859-1' But I must be doing something wrong: a simple puts always show the wrong characters.   • setup Zyxel USG 20W as L2TP VPN Server

    I've a Zywall USG 20W (wireless disabled) behind a router supplied by the ISP. All ports (both TCP and UDP) on the ISP router are forwarded to the 20W. I'm trying to configure an L2TP VPN to be used by Windows Xp / 7 with Microsoft native client. This was working before with a different firewall, so I'm pretty sure that all the required packets are flowing to the 20W. I followed a tutorial from the italian Zyxel Website, but I cannot get the VPN to work. Always cannot pass phase 2, and I see the following on the log: [ID]: Tunnel [Default_L2TP_VPN_Connection] Phase 2 local policy mismatch Phase 1 goes fine. In Windows the error is always 788. This happens regardless the proposals I set in the phase 1 and 2 setting. What should I check ? Is there any way to get more detailed diagnostic info (policy mismatch is too generic) ?     Hello, I've been trying to embed an icon (.ico) into my "compyled" .exe with py2exe. Py2Exe does have a way to embed an icon: windows=[{ 'script':'MyScript.py', 'icon_resources':[(1,'MyIcon.ico')] }] And that's what I am using. The icon shows up fine on Windows XP or lower, but doesn't show at all on Vista. I suppose this is because of the new Vista icon format, which can be in PNG format, up to 256x256 pixels. So, how can I get py2exe to embed them into my executable, without breaking the icons on Windows XP? I'm cool with doing it with an external utility rather than py2exe - I've tried this command-line utility to embed it, but it always corrupts my exe and truncates its size for some reason.

    I'm working on a flash game written in pure actionscript 3.0 in Flex. I've just finished implementing replays for the game, but want to store the top 10 hiscores' replay data on my google-app-engine'd website. I'm using Java for the app-engine stuff in Eclipse in java but I have no idea how to deal with communicating to my java code from my actionscript code. I'll need to both read and write from actionscript - java - datastore. Does anyone have any experience with this? For note, I'm horribly noob with anything to do with web development. I hear you can pass arguments to a URL when calling it, comparable to command-line arguments on a desktop executable and if so then sending all the data as a large string would be doable... The question then would be how to call a url from AS3 code with additional data and then how to catch that on the java side. Thanks to anyone who can help. Jono

    I have looked at ways to convert word or open office text files to LaTex format, and those have been addressed on SU here and here. These will work, but I'd rather have a native single-step solution. Does anyone know of any module or add-on for LaTex that will let one open .doc and/or .odt files without the use of third-party conversion tools? It would be ideal if it would allow for editing and saving in the same format. If it makes any difference, I am using LaTex Editor in Windows.

  • Loading WPF satellite resources dynamically

    Hello! I've read about satellite-assemblies being used in WPF localizations. However, I would like to ask if there is a way to load the satellite-assemblies without following the pre-defined directory structure that depends on the language (ex. If the system language is English, the WPF application looks for the satellite-assembly inside the "en-US" subfolder). This is because I would like to simply swap the satellite-assemblies when distributing the software package without having to create a specific folder per language that would hold the assemblies. I would just like to have the satellite-assembly and the main executable in the same directory. Is this possible and is there even an easy way to do this like simply loading the resource file on application startup once? Thanks!
