    Hey guys, quick question for any experts out there. I am allowing users to upload and post mp3s so other users can listen to/stream. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for reducing bandwidth, or any tips or methods for streaming mp3s. I currently just reference the location of the file with my flash mp3 player after the file has been uploaded. I would ask about images as well, but I am pretty sure they can be compressed using gzip or mod_deflate

    I need to play, pause and resume AAC (audio) files from a ruby console program (much like iTunes or any music player). After much searching, I've come across these libraries: mp3info metadata id3lib-ruby rvideo (uses ffmpeg) These seem to help me in getting track length and tags which i also need, but I need something to play AAC (at least) and if possible other formats. I also must be able to pause and resume (so shelling a program like mpg321 is out).

    hi, I'm using a lightbox on a page of my website to display my nodes. I'm using some plugins such as an external simpletooltips plugin and the drupal plugin jQuery Media (to load flash video player for some video file-fields). All this stuff stop to work for the content of the lightbox, I guess because the content is not parsed... how can I solve this ? Should I trigger the plugins again ? Thanks

I'm making a poker game, and on the betting stage i created a scheduledjob that will run every 8 seconds, on each 8 seconds it forwards to the next player to place a bet. now if the user placed a bet before the 8 seconds are over, i want to manually force the next scheduled job to start. Is there a way to force the scheduled job to start immediately when required ? thanks

On my PC, using Media Player Classic, they work normally, but on my phone they dont, all I hear is weird sounds.. the code I use to play: mediaplayer = MediaPlayer.create(getBaseContext(), Uri.parse(CurrentAyaSoundPath)); Can anyone tell me why I cant play .swf files normally? I'm not very saavy in flash so this may be a simple question.. but how do you make a "movie-less" flash file? Is it possible to just embed an actionscript file?     I was wondering is there a way to give the user a small guided tour of the app with small pops exactly above the UI elements indicating what it will do and not using the standard popups which iOS has. Something like if an icon is used to post status there should be a small pop up on top of it which tells us it is used to post status and can be closed a standard in in games to introduce the player to their UI.
