Is there a way to do this without changing the current file?

I'm trying to get my head around RewriteCond, and want to rewrite any requests either to a static html page (if it exists), or to a specific index.php (so long as the requested file doesn't exist). To illustrate the logic: if HTTP_HOST is '(www\.)?mydomain.com' if file exists: "/default/static/{REQUEST_URI}.html", then rewrite .* to /default/static/{REQUEST_URI}.html else if file exists: {REQUEST_FILENAME}, then do not rewrite else rewrite .* to /default/index.php I don't seem to have much trouble doing it when I don't need to test for the HTTP_HOST. Ultimately, this one .htaccess file will be handling requests for several domains. I know I could get around this with vhosts, but I'd like to figure out how to do it this way. Here's where I am at now: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?mydomain\.com$ [NC] RewriteCond /default/static/%{REQUEST_URI}.html -f RewriteRule . /default/static/%{REQUEST_URI}.html [L,NC] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule . /default/index.php [L,QSA] I'm not too familiar with some of the other flags, will any of them be of use here (like chain|C, next|N or skip|S)?   • Help System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager find a type in a non-referenced assembly

    I'm trying to write a plug-in system where assemblies can be dropped in a folder that ASP.NET has no knowledge about. This plug-in system works fine for ASP.NET MVC based assemblies, but for old-school WebForm assemblies (where the .aspx files Inherits the System.Web.UI.Page derived classes) System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager is responsible for compiling the .aspx file into a dynamic assembly. My problem is that the BuildManager knows nothing about the assemblies within my plug-in folder and it seems to be absolutely nothing I can do to help it. If I do: BuildManager.GetType("Type.Defined.In.Plugin.Assembly", true, true) it throws. If I first get a reference to the Type and then try: var instance = BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath(path, type); it still throws, even though I've now passed in the specific type it needs to compile the .aspx file. Is there anything I can do to help BuildManager find the types it needs to compile the .aspx file?

    I am testing out my asp.net on mono's VM Ware Image using opensuse From the home page it says Trying out your own code You can test your own applications by connecting with the file manager on this machine to the machine hosting your application, and copying over the directory containing application and its associated files. To test your ASP.NET applications, copy your code to a new directory in /srv/www/htdocs , then visit the following url: http://localhost/directoryname/page.aspx Where directoryname is the directory where you deployed your application, and page.aspx is the initial page for your software, typically Default.aspx. Mirror: http://tortillaflatscafe.com/ I saw my app had errors. After i restarted the VM i can no longer run my app. Instead of getting error messages or anything i get this error instead. Server Error in '/myfoldername' Application The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. Requested URL: /Default.aspx I tried /default.aspx, using sudo to set permissions to 777 recursively, restarting apache via terminal i could not get this error to go away. How do i fix this?

  • Submit button on nested form submits the outer form in IE7

    I have the following code on my Home.aspx page: <form id="frmJump" method="post" action="Views/ViewsHome.aspx"> <input name="JumpProject" /><input type="submit" value="Go" /> </form> However, when I click the "Go" button, the page posts back to Home.aspx rather than going to ViewsHome.aspx. I even tried adding some script to force the form to submit: <input name="JumpProject" onkeypress="if(event.keyCode == 13) { this.form.submit(); return false; }" /> But still even if I press ENTER, the Home.aspx page is reloaded. The only thing I can see that might be borking things is this form is actually a child form of the main POSTBACK form that ASP.NET injects into the page. I'm sure there's something stupid I'm missing and this post will get 800 downvotes instantly banishing me back into the n00b realm, but perhaps I haven't gotten enough sleep lately and I'm missing something stupid. This is on IE7 and an ASP.NET 4.0 backend. I also have jQuery libraries loaded on the page incase jQuery can improve this somehow. Thanks!

  • Keeping cached browser data inside ASP update panel textboxes/dropdowns for browser back click

    I'm new in VB.net/asp and am running a VB web application in a visual database program called IronSpeed designer. I'm primarily using IronSpeed in this case for its login/role security features. I have a basic two page setup for this app. The user logs in then is taken to AccountEntry.aspx, they enter data into textboxes and select some dropdown values that are linked to a sql database, then they click "submit" to move to Results.aspx. On Results.aspx, the user can change data and then generate several types of reports (PDF, Excel, etc). I'm used to setting up ASP controls inside ASPContent areas, and in these areas if a user performs a browser back click the previously entered data will still be on the page for potential user modification. However in this web app, IronSpeed is setting up the page and asp controls inside an asp update panel. It appears inside an asp update panel, cached values can't be seen on a browser back click. In this case, it's important that the orginally entered values still be there for the user experience if the user advances to Results.aspx then clicks browser back to modify a value on AccountEntry.aspx. If I have to I'll setup Session Variables and disable browser clicking, but that is last resort. Is there any way to save cached data inside an asp update panel and have it there for a browser back click?

    I find the mouse click behavior of Windows XP and Windows 7 annoying and intrusive. I don't remember Windows NT being quite this bad, or MacOS 7 - 10 which I used in the nineties. When I'm using a browser and I click on a text field - for example, the address bar, or a search box - the first thing which happens is the entire field is selected.Subsequent clicks seem to select parts of words, often deciding arbitrarily to exclude or include adjacent punctuation. The same in Excel and other apps, and when trying to rename files, so I'm assuming this behavior comes from a system-wide text handling routine. I frequently want to edit text, cut out or replace odd parts of the insides of words or chunks of sentences, and often find that to get a simple cursor to insert I have to click the mouse up to 4 times in succession. I've had to do a lot of this recently and it has been driving me insane. Is there a place at the system level where this can be configured? In a perfect world, I'd like a single click on a new text area to insert a cursor point, and a rapid double click to select the entire area. Words or text within the area could be selected by inserting a cursor, holding down the mouse button and dragging to the exact point where I want the selection to end - even if that's in the middle of a word. No, I don't need or want Windows to "smart select" a word or sentence for me. I've looked in the Mouse and Accessibility Options control panels (Windows XP). Haven't found anything even close. In first time it is invisible .Buttons named first and second respectively. Two another pages One.aspx,two.aspx. These two pages contains each text box. When you click on the First button . I want to set the Iframe src="One.aspx" and display "first" in the textbox on One.aspx. as same in the case , when user clicks Second button. How to do this ?

Either as a single string or possibly as an params style array of strings.     Hi, In my particular situation, I have couple of solutions to my problem. I want to find out which one is more feasible. In this case, I can also achieve my goal by returning a JSON object from my server side code, however, I do not know how it is done and what is the best way of doing it. First off, I don't need a full aspx page as I only need a response returned from code. So, do I use web services? handler? or is there any other specific way you people do this? Is this solution feasible? do I build the JSON string using the StringBuilder class and inject that string into the target aspx page? are there any precautions? or things that I should be aware of? I appreciate your ideas.     I want to change search image in magento. On search in magento the image name is btn_search.gif. Right now it take image from skin/frontend/default/default/images. And the file is /app/design/frontend/default/default/template/catalogsearch/form.mini.phtml where mention this tag as <input id="search-button" type="image" src="<?php echo $this->getSkinUrl('images/btn_search.gif') ?>" alt="<?php echo $this->__('Search') ?>" /> I check the code and i found that we can pass locale as _type in this as <input id="search-button" type="image" src="<?php echo $this->getSkinUrl('images/btn_search.gif', array('_type'=>'local')) ?>" alt="<?php echo $this->__('Search') ?>" /> But when i check the code this will just check in locale directory that this file exist in that locale or not. If this exist then it will take skin image. I want to use that locale image instead of that skin image. So when i click on french store i get the image which is i set in /app/design/frontend/default/default/locale/fr_FR/images/btn_search.gif I check the code for getSkinUrl in /app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Design/Package.php. And i found that he check locale for file but it return skin url. Is there any method which return locale url ?

  • After my laptop wakes up from sleeping/hibernating, the LCD/brightness is very low. How can I set it to default?

    In Power Management Preferences, On AC Power tab, I have brightness to 100%. "Dim display when idle" is not checked. I know for sure my LCD brightness is capable of going higher, because if I hit Fn and F7 then it resets the monitor brightness and settings for a few seconds, but the resolution breaks and then the brightness goes back. PS: OS is Debian Lenny ( I set the tags but for clarification ) and laptop is a Thinkpad.

    Hello friends, I am using following setting for customError. < customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="GenericErrorPage.aspx" < error statusCode="403" redirect="NoAccess.aspx" / < error statusCode="404" redirect="FileNotFound.aspx" / < /customErrors I have a folder "Admin" having access to administrators role. When someone other than administrators tries to access the pages inside admin folder, it is redirected to login page. My expectation is to display "NoAccess.aspx". Whats wrong with this code? Or is there other meaning to statusCode=403. Could someone provide help on this. Thanks for sharing your valuable time.
