  • Why doesn't this image sprite menu display properly, and why aren't the links working?

    - by briligg
    The code validates. There should be two more images in the menu on the left, above the visible one of the silo. And each should be a link. http://www.briligg.com/agnosticism.html css is: external style sheet: .menu { position: relative; float: left; margin: 10px; padding: 0; width: 150px; } .menu li { margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none; position: absolute; left: 0; top: 260px; } .menu li, .menu a { width: 150px; height: 150px; } internal style sheet: .menu { height: 450px; } .mirror { top: 0; } .mirror { background: url(http://www.briligg.com/images/menu-ag.png) 0 0; } .wormcan { top: 151px; } .wormcan { background: url(http://www.briligg.com/images/menu-ag.png) 0 -151px; } .wormsilo { top: 301px; } .wormsilo { background: url(http://www.briligg.com/images/menu-ag.png) 0 -301px; } html: <ul class="menu"> <li class="mirror"> <a href="whoryou.html"></a> </li> <li class="wormcan"> <a href="aroundyou.html"></a> </li> <li class="wormsilo"> <a href="beyondyou.html"></a> </li> </ul>

  • Baffled by differences between WPF BitmapEncoders

    - by DanM
I wrote a little utility class that saves BitmapSource objects to image files. The image files can be either bmp, jpeg, or png. Here is the code: public class BitmapProcessor { public void SaveAsBmp(BitmapSource bitmapSource, string path) { Save(bitmapSource, path, new BmpBitmapEncoder()); } public void SaveAsJpg(BitmapSource bitmapSource, string path) { Save(bitmapSource, path, new JpegBitmapEncoder()); } public void SaveAsPng(BitmapSource bitmapSource, string path) { Save(bitmapSource, path, new PngBitmapEncoder()); } private void Save(BitmapSource bitmapSource, string path, BitmapEncoder encoder) { using (var stream = new FileStream(path, FileMode.Create)) { encoder.Frames.Add(BitmapFrame.Create(bitmapSource)); encoder.Save(stream); } } } Each of the three Save methods work, but I get unexpected results with bmp and jpeg. Png is the only format that produces an exact reproduction of what I see if I show the BitmapSource on screen using a WPF Image control. Here are the results: BMP - too dark JPEG - too saturated PNG - correct Why am I getting completely different results for different file types? I should note that the BitmapSource in my example uses an alpha value of 0.1 (which is why it appears very desaturated), but it should be possible to show the resulting colors in any image format. I know if I take a screen capture using something like HyperSnap, it will look correct regardless of what file type I save to. Here's a HyperSnap screen capture saved as a bmp: As you can see, this isn't a problem, so there's definitely something strange about WPF's image encoders. Do I have a setting wrong? Am I missing something?

  • No expires header

    - by Tom Gullen
    I have the report from YSlow: (no expires) http://static3.scirra.net/avatars/128/40cfdcbd1b1ec1842e199c97c4b85a4a.png (And a lot more similar). In my web.config though, I have: <system.webServer> <staticContent> <clientCache httpExpires="Sun, 29 Mar 2020 00:00:00 GMT" cacheControlMode="UseExpires" /> </staticContent> <caching> <profiles> <add extension=".ashx" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="DontCache" duration="01:00:00" /> <add extension=".png" policy="CacheUntilChange" kernelCachePolicy="CacheUntilChange" location="Any" /> </profiles> </caching> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Avatar"> <match url="avatars/([0-9]+)/(.*).png" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="gravatar.ashx?hash={R:2}&amp;size={R:1}" appendQueryString="false" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> Should this not be adding the expires header correctly? My objectives are: Gravatar.ashx fetches image from Gravatar server Server caches result for 1 hour (similar to SO) Expires header is added so client doesn't keep fetching it from my server

  • How to have current page selection using inludes navigation

    - by Anders Kitson
I am using php includes to limit redundancy on my pages, how can I have my navigation have the current page selected with say a certain color for the HOME button when my navigation is called from a header.php file. If i were to say to add a "active" class to the home.php item and add a style so it looked different, that would happen across the board for all my pages, which is why I am using includes in the first place, how can I have one header.php file with my navigation, that also allows each page the ability to show the current page you are on reflected in the navigation? This is the nav portion of the header.php file <ul> <li><a href="index.php">About Us</a></li> <li><a href="portfolio.php">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="news.php">News</a></li> <li><a href="contact.php">Contact</a></li> </ul> This is the index.php file that the header.php file is included in <?php include("includes/header.php"); ?> <div class="span-8" id="welcome"> <p>Lorem ipsum</p> </div> <div class="span-16 last" id="slideshow"> <img src="images/introImage1.png" alt="fountain"> <img src="images/introImage2.png" alt="bench"> <img src="images/introImage3.png" alt="bridge"> </div> <?php include("includes/footer.php"); ?>

  • WPF Buttons Style

    - by Polaris
    I have WPF Form which has many buttons with the same code. Appearance of all buttons must be the same For example, code for one of these buttons <Button x:Name="btnAddRelative" Width="120" Click="btnAddRelative_Click" > <Button.Content> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <Image Height="26" HorizontalAlignment="Left"> <Image.Source> <BitmapImage UriSource="images/add.png" /> </Image.Source> </Image> <TextBlock Text=" Add Relative" Height="20" VerticalAlignment="Center"/> </StackPanel> </Button.Content> </Button> How can I create one style and use it for all my buttons. All buttons has the same png image, only their text different. How can I do this. I tried to do this with Style object in Resource Section: <UserControl.Resources> <Style TargetType="Button" x:Key="AddStyle"> <Setter Property="Content"> <Setter.Value> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <Image Height="26" HorizontalAlignment="Left"> <Image.Source> <BitmapImage UriSource="images/add.png" /> </Image.Source> </Image> <TextBlock Text=" " Height="20" VerticalAlignment="Center"/> </StackPanel> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </UserControl.Resources> But this code not work. • Getting basepath from view in zend framework

    - by mobmad
Case: you're developing a site with Zend Framework and need relative links to the folder the webapp is deployed in. I.e. mysite.com/folder online and localhost:8080 under development. The following works nice in controllers regardless of deployed location: $this->_helper->redirector->gotoSimple($action, $controller, $module, $params); And the following inside a viewscript, ie. index.phtml: <a href="<?php echo $this->url(array('controller'=>'index', 'action' => 'index'), null, true); ?>"> But how do I get the correct basepath when linking to images or stylesheets? (in a layout.phtml file, for example): <img src='<?php echo WHAT_TO_TYPE_HERE; ?>images/logo.png' /> and $this->headLink()->appendStylesheet( WHAT_TO_TYPE_HERE . 'css/default.css'); WHAT_TO_TYPE_HERE should be replaced with something that gives <img src="/folder/images/logo.png />` on mysite.com and `<img src="/images/logo.png /> on localhost

  • Position absolute for rounded corners and problems in IE6

    - by danit
Im using position absolute to give the top left corner of a DIV a rounded corner. HTML: <div id="MyDiv"> Some content <div class="topLeft">&nbsp</div> </div> CSS: #MyDiv { position: relative; padding: 12px; background: #fff url('graident.png') repeat-x top left; } .topLeft { position: absolute; top: 0; right: 0; width: 10px; height: 10px; background: transparent url('corner.png') no-repeat top right; } This works fine in all browsers expcept IE6. In IE6 the corner.png image seems to be about 1px out at the top corner, essentially not top: 0; and right: 0; but more like top: 1px; right: 1px; Can anyone explain why this might be happening only in IE6?

  • Why does iOS 5 fail to connect to a server running JDK 1.6, but not JDK 1.5

    - by KC Baltz
We have a Java Socket Server listening on an SSLSocket (port 443) and an iOS application that connects with it. When running on iOS 5.1, the application stopped working when we upgraded the Java version of the server from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 (or 1.7). The app connects just fine to JDK 5 and 6 when running on iOS 6. The iOS app is reporting an error: -9809 = errSSLCrypto. On the Java side, we get javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: close_notify. On the Java server side, we have enabled all the available cipher suites. On the client side we have tested enabling several different suites, although we have yet to complete a test involving each one individually enabled. Right now, it is failing when we use TLS_DH_anon_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA although it has failed with others and we are starting to think it's not the suite. Here is the debug output. It makes it all the way to ServerHelloDone and then fails shortly thereafter: Is secure renegotiation: false [Raw read]: length = 5 0000: 16 03 03 00 41 ....A [Raw read]: length = 65 0000: 01 00 00 3D 03 03 50 83 1E 0B 56 19 25 65 C8 F2 ...=..P...V.%e.. 0010: AF 02 AD 48 FE E2 92 CF B8 D7 A6 A3 EA C5 FF 5D ...H...........] 0020: 74 0F 1B C1 99 18 00 00 08 00 FF 00 34 00 1B 00 t...........4... 0030: 18 01 00 00 0C 00 0D 00 08 00 06 05 01 04 01 02 ................ 0040: 01 . • WPF: How to bind and update display with DataContext

    - by Am
I'm trying to do the following thing: I have a TabControl with several tabs. Each TabControlItem.Content points to PersonDetails which is a UserControl Each BookDetails has a dependency property called IsEditMode I want a control outside of the TabControl , named ToggleEditButton, to be updated whenever the selected tab changes. I thought I could do this by changing the ToggleEditButton data context, by it doesn't seem to work (but I'm new to WPF so I might way off) The code changing the data context: private void tabControl1_SelectionChanged(object sender, SelectionChangedEventArgs e) { if (e.Source is TabControl) { if (e.Source.Equals(tabControl1)) { if (tabControl1.SelectedItem is CloseableTabItem) { var tabItem = tabControl1.SelectedItem as CloseableTabItem; RibbonBook.DataContext = tabItem.Content as BookDetails; ribbonBar.SelectedTabItem = RibbonBook; } } } } The DependencyProperty under BookDetails: public static readonly DependencyProperty IsEditModeProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("IsEditMode", typeof (bool), typeof (BookDetails), new PropertyMetadata(true)); public bool IsEditMode { get { return (bool)GetValue(IsEditModeProperty); } set { SetValue(IsEditModeProperty, value); SetValue(IsViewModeProperty, !value); } } And the relevant XAML: <odc:RibbonTabItem Title="Book" Name="RibbonBook"> <odc:RibbonGroup Title="Details" Image="img/books2.png" IsDialogLauncherVisible="False"> <odc:RibbonToggleButton Content="Edit" Name="ToggleEditButton" odc:RibbonBar.MinSize="Medium" SmallImage="img/edit_16x16.png" LargeImage="img/edit_32x32.png" Click="Book_EditDetails" IsChecked="{Binding Path=IsEditMode, Mode=TwoWay}"/> ... There are two things I want to accomplish, Having the button reflect the IsEditMode for the visible tab, and have the button change the property value with no code behind (if posible) Any help would be greatly appriciated.

  • How to solve the delay problem in animation of sprites ?

    - by srikanth rongali
    My problem is, I did coding for a sprite. It should change it should change it's image from( 1, 2, 3). It should look like count down time to start a game. 1, 2, 3 are 3 png images. But the images are not displayed in equal intervals of time. I mean time between (1 - 2), (2 - 3) is not same. It is random. Please help me with my problem. Help me if there is better solution than what I am doing.(My animation should be like, before any game starts we see count down 1 then 2 then 3 then GO). -(id)init { if((self = [super init])) { [[CCDirector sharedDirector] setAnimationInterval:60.0/60]; [[CCDirector sharedDirector] setDisplayFPS:NO]; CCAnimation* numberAnimation = [CCAnimation animationWithName:@"countDown" delay: 60.0/60]; for( int i=1;i<4;i++) [numberAnimation addFrameWithFilename: [NSString stringWithFormat:@"number_%02d.png", i]]; id numberAction = [CCAnimate actionWithAnimation: numberAnimation restoreOriginalFrame:NO]; id action2 = [CCFadeOut actionWithDuration:0.5f]; CCSprite *number; number = [CCSprite spriteWithFile:@"number.png"]; .... } }

  • A generic error occurred in GDI+, JPEG Image to MemoryStream

    - by madcapnmckay
Hi, This seems to be a bit of an infamous error all over the web. So much so that I have been unable to find an answer to my problem as my scenario doesn't fit. An exception gets thrown when I save the image to the stream. Weirdly this works perfectly with a png but gives the above error with jpg and gif which is rather confusing. Most similar problem out there relate to saving images to files without permissions. Ironically the solution is to use a memory stream as I am doing.... public static byte[] ConvertImageToByteArray(Image imageToConvert) { using (var ms = new MemoryStream()) { ImageFormat format; switch (imageToConvert.MimeType()) { case "image/png": format = ImageFormat.Png; break; case "image/gif": format = ImageFormat.Gif; break; default: format = ImageFormat.Jpeg; break; } imageToConvert.Save(ms, format); return ms.ToArray(); } } More detail to the exception. The reason this causes so many issues is the lack of explanation :( System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException was unhandled by user code Message="A generic error occurred in GDI+." • Wait until image loads before performing function

    - by Steven
I'm trying to create a simple portfolio page. I have a list of thumbs and an image. When you click on a thumb, the image will change. When a thumbnail is clicked, I'd like to have the image fade out, wait until the image is loaded, then fade back in. The problem I have right now is that some of the images are pretty big, so it fades out, then fades back in immediately, sometimes while the image is still loading. I'd like to avoid using setTimeout, since sometimes an image will load faster or slower than the time I set. Here's my code: $(function() { $('img#image').attr("src", $('ul#thumbs li:first img').attr("src")); $('ul#thumbs li img').click(function() { $('img#image').fadeOut(700); var src = $(this).attr("src"); $('img#image').attr("src", src); $('img#image').fadeIn(700); }); }); <img id="image" src="" alt="" /> <ul id="thumbs"> <li><img src="/images/thumb1.png" /></li> <li><img src="/images/thumb2.png" /></li> <li><img src="/images/thumb3.png" /></li> </ul>

  • show image in a CGContextRef

    - by Ishu
What i am doing, i downloded a code from calender now i want to show images on its tiles(for date). What i am trying shows in code - (void)drawTextInContext:(CGContextRef)ctx { CGContextSaveGState(ctx); CGFloat width = self.bounds.size.width; CGFloat height = self.bounds.size.height; CGFloat numberFontSize = floorf(0.3f * width); CGContextSetFillColorWithColor(ctx, kDarkCharcoalColor); CGContextSetTextDrawingMode(ctx, kCGTextClip); for (NSInteger i = 0; i < [self.text length]; i++) { NSString *letter = [self.text substringWithRange:NSMakeRange(i, 1)]; CGSize letterSize = [letter sizeWithFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:numberFontSize]]; CGContextSaveGState(ctx); // I will need to undo this clip after the letter's gradient has been drawn [letter drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(4.0f+(letterSize.width*i), 0.0f) withFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:numberFontSize]]; if ([self.date isToday]) { CGContextSetFillColorWithColor(ctx, kWhiteColor); CGContextFillRect(ctx, self.bounds); } else { // CGContextDrawLinearGradient(ctx, TextFillGradient, CGPointMake(0,0), CGPointMake(0, height/3), kCGGradientDrawsAfterEndLocation); CGDataProviderRef dataProvider = CGDataProviderCreateWithFilename("left-arrow.png"); CGImageRef image = CGImageCreateWithPNGDataProvider(dataProvider, NULL, NO, kCGRenderingIntentDefault); //UIImage* image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"left-arrow.png"]; //CGImageRef imageRef = image.CGImage; CGContextDrawImage(ctx, CGRectMake(8.0f+(letterSize.width*i), 0.0f, 5, 5), image); //im.image=[UIImage imageNamed:@"left-arrow.png"]; } CGContextRestoreGState(ctx); // get rid of the clip for the current letter } CGContextRestoreGState(ctx); } In else condition i want to show images on the tile so for that i am converting image objects in the CGContextDrawImage. Please help me. I am not sure this would be done in same manner or in other manner please suggest your way to do this. Thanx a lot.

  • Trying to use jquery ui in google chrome extension in the content level

    - by user135697
The problem is that the scope of the content script is on the web page that your plugin is suppose to be used at. So the css background:url(images/ui-bg_inset-hard_100_fcfdfd_1x100.png) becomes url('http://webpageforplugin/images/ui-bg_inset-hard_100_fcfdfd_1x100.png') in order for this to work as far as i understood i need to have it to point to: url('chrome-extension://extensionId/images/ui-bg_inset-hard_100_fcfdfd_1x100.png') So i tried to haxorz the document.styleSheets var ss = document.styleSheets; for (var i=0; i<ss.length; i++) { var found=-1, x,i; var rules = ss[i].cssRules || ss[i].rules; for (var j=0; j<rules.length; j++) { if ('.ui-helper-hidden'==rules[j].selectorText){ found=i; break; } } if (found>-1){ for (var j=0; j<rules.length; j++) { if (x=rules[j].style.background){ if ((i=x.indexOf('url'))!=-1) rules[j].style.background = x.replace('http://page/images/','chrome-extension://extensionId/images/'); } } break; } }; I feel that i'm missing the obvious. That there must be an easier way. Even if i manage to change this how will i get the extension id to build the string. Btw this doesn't work, the icons are not properly fetched. (I hardcoded the extension id) Any ideas?

  • o write a C++ program to encrypt and decrypt certain codes.

    - by Amber
Step 1: Write a function int GetText(char[],int); which fills a character array from a requested file. That is, the function should prompt the user to input the filename, and then read up to the number of characters given as the second argument, terminating when the number has been reached or when the end of file is encountered. The file should then be closed. The number of characters placed in the array is then returned as the value of the function. Every character in the file should be transferred to the array. Whitespace should not be removed. When testing, assume that no more than 5000 characters will be read. The function should be placed in a file called coding.cpp while the main will be in ass5.cpp. To enable the prototypes to be accessible, the file coding.h contains the prototypes for all the functions that are to be written in coding.cpp for this assignment. (You may write other functions. If they are called from any of the functions in coding.h, they must appear in coding.cpp where their prototypes should also appear. Do not alter coding.h. Any other functions written for this assignment should be placed, along with their prototypes, with the main function.) Step 2: Write a function int SimplifyText(char[],int); which simplifies the text in the first argument, an array containing the number of characters as given in the second argument, by converting all alphabetic characters to lower case, removing all non-alpha characters, and replacing multiple whitespace by one blank. Any leading whitespace at the beginning of the array should be removed completely. The resulting number of characters should be returned as the value of the function. Note that another array cannot appear in the function (as the file does not contain one). For example, if the array contained the 29 characters "The 39 Steps" by John Buchan (with the " appearing in the array), the simplified text would be the steps by john buchan of length 24. The array should not contain a null character at the end. Step 3: Using the file test.txt, test your program so far. You will need to write a function void PrintText(const char[],int, int); that prints out the contents of the array, whose length is the second argument, breaking the lines to exactly the number of characters in the third argument. Be warned that, if the array contains newlines (as it would when read from a file), lines will be broken earlier than the specified length. Step 4: Write a function void Caesar(const char[],int, char[],int); which takes the first argument array, with length given by the second argument and codes it into the third argument array, using the shift given in the fourth argument. The shift must be performed cyclicly and must also be able to handle negative shifts. Shifts exceeding 26 can be reduced by modulo arithmetic. (Is C++'s modulo operations on negative numbers a problem here?) Demonstrate that the test file, as simplified, can be coded and decoded using a given shift by listing the original input text, the simplified text (indicating the new length), the coded text and finally the decoded text. Step 5: The permutation cypher does not limit the character substitution to just a shift. In fact, each of the 26 characters is coded to one of the others in an arbitrary way. So, for example, a might become f, b become q, c become d, but a letter never remains the same. How the letters are rearranged can be specified using a seed to the random number generator. The code can then be decoded, if the decoder has the same random number generator and knows the seed. Write the function void Permute(const char[],int, char[],unsigned long); with the same first three arguments as Caesar above, with the fourth argument being the seed. The function will have to make up a permutation table as follows: To find what a is coded as, generate a random number from 1 to 25. Add that to a to get the coded letter. Mark that letter as used. For b, generate 1 to 24, then step that many letters after b, ignoring the used letter if encountered. For c, generate 1 to 23, ignoring a or b's codes if encountered. Wrap around at z. Here's an example, for only the 6 letters a, b, c, d, e, f. For the letter a, generate, from 1-5, a 2. Then a - c. c is marked as used. For the letter b, generate, from 1-4, a 3. So count 3 from b, skipping c (since it is marked as used) yielding the coding of b - f. Mark f as used. For c, generate, from 1-3, a 3. So count 3 from c, skipping f, giving a. Note the wrap at the last letter back to the first. And so on, yielding a - c b - f c - a d - b (it got a 2) e - d f - e Thus, for a given seed, a translation table is required. To decode a piece of text, we need the table generated to be re-arranged so that the right hand column is in order. In fact you can just store the table in the reverse way (e.g., if a gets encoded to c, put a opposite c is the table). Write a function called void DePermute(const char[],int, char[], unsigned long); to reverse the permutation cypher. Again, test your functions using the test file. At this point, any main program used to test these functions will not be required as part of the assignment. The remainder of the assignment uses some of these functions, and needs its own main function. When submitted, all the above functions will be tested by the marker's own main function. Step 6: If the seed number is unknown, decoding is difficult. Write a main program which: (i) reads in a piece of text using GetText; (ii) simplifies the text using SimplifyText; (iii) prints the text using PrintText; (iv) requests two letters to swap. If we think 'a' in the text should be 'q' we would type aq as input. The text would be modified by swapping the a's and q's, and the text reprinted. Repeat this last step until the user considers the text is decoded, when the input of the same letter twice (requesting a letter to be swapped with itself) terminates the program. Step 7: If we have a large enough sample of coded text, we can use knowledge of English to aid in finding the permutation. The first clue is in the frequency of occurrence of each letter. Write a function void LetterFreq(const char[],int, freq[]); which takes the piece of text given as the first two arguments (same as above) and returns in the 26 long array of structs (the third argument), the table of the frequency of the 26 letters. This frequency table should be in decreasing order of popularity. A simple Selection Sort will suffice. (This will be described in lectures.) When printed, this summary would look something like v x r s z j p t n c l h u o i b w d g e a q y k f m 168106 68 66 59 54 48 45 44 35 26 24 22 20 20 20 17 13 12 12 4 4 1 0 0 0 The formatting will require the use of input/output manipulators. See the header file for the definition of the struct called freq. Modify the program so that, before each swap is requested, the current frequency of the letters is printed. This does not require further calls to LetterFreq, however. You may use the traditional order of regular letter frequencies (E T A I O N S H R D L U) as a guide when deciding what characters to exchange. Step 8: The decoding process can be made more difficult if blank is also coded. That is, consider the alphabet to be 27 letters. Rewrite LetterFreq and your main program to handle blank as another character to code. In the above frequency order, space usually comes first.

  • Multiple usage of MenuItems declared once (WPF)

    - by Alex Kofman
    Is it possible in WPF to define some menu structure and than use it in multiple contexts? For example I'd like to use a set of menu items from resources in ContextMenu, Window's menu and ToolBar (ToolBar with icons only, without headers). So items order, commands, icons, separators must be defined just once. I look for something like this: Declaration in resources: <MenuItem Command="MyCommands.CloneObject" CommandParameter="{Binding SelectedObject}" Header="Clone"> <MenuItem.Icon> <Image Source="Images\Clone.png" Height="16" Width="16"></Image> </MenuItem.Icon> </MenuItem> <MenuItem Command="MyCommands.RemoveCommand" CommandParameter="{Binding SelectedObject}" Header="Remove"> <MenuItem.Icon> <Image Source="Images\Remove.png" Height="16" Width="16"></Image> </MenuItem.Icon> </MenuItem> <Separator/> <MenuItem Command="MCommands.CreateChild" CommandParameter="{Binding SelectedObject}" Header="Create child"> <MenuItem.Icon> <Image Source="Images\Child.png" Height="16" Width="16"></Image> </MenuItem.Icon> </MenuItem> Usage: <ToolBar MenuItems(?)="{Reference to set of items}" ShowText(?)="false" /> and <ContextMenu MenuItems(?)="{Reference to set of items}" />

  • if else on javascript with the value of a select box (pure javascript)

    - by user983248
I'm working on a select box that have images instead of text, (on the background with css). <script type="text/javascript"> function onChange(element) { element.style.backgroundColor = "Yellow"; element.className = "on_change"; } </script> <select onchange="onChange(this);"> <option value="1" style="background: url(/one.png) no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; width:32px; height:32px;"></option> <option value="2" style="background: url(/two.png) no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; width:32px; height:32px;"></option> <option value="3" style="background: url(/three.png) no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; width:32px; height:32px;"></option> </select> The problem is how do I get the value of the selected option and if is 1 set one image and if it is two set another image as the background using pure javascript (no jQuery)? I know that selectedIndex is the key to my problem, but I'm clueless of how to use it or how to use it on an if else statement. The script above is just one of my trials, I actually use the script above to perform the same task. <select onchange="this.style.backgroundColor=this.options[this.selectedIndex].style.backgroundColor; this.style.color=this.options[this.selectedIndex].style.color">

  • Save Bitmap image in a location in C#

    - by acadia
    Hello, I have this function to store the bmp image in a desired location as shown below My question is, how do I save the image in C:\temp folder by default, instead of opening the filedialog box? I want to specify sd.fileName=picname+".bmp" and store it in c:\temp by default. I tried to specify Thanks for your help in advance. I tried to public static bool SaveDIBAs( string picname, IntPtr bminfo, IntPtr pixdat ) { SaveFileDialog sd = new SaveFileDialog(); sd.FileName = picname; sd.Title = "Save bitmap as..."; sd.Filter = "Bitmap file (*.bmp)|*.bmp|TIFF file (*.tif)|*.tif|JPEG file (*.jpg)|*.jpg|PNG file (*.png)|*.png|GIF file (*.gif)|*.gif|All files (*.*)|*.*"; sd.FilterIndex = 1; if( sd.ShowDialog() != DialogResult.OK ) return false; Guid clsid; if( ! GetCodecClsid( sd.FileName, out clsid ) ) { MessageBox.Show( "Unknown picture format for extension " + Path.GetExtension( sd.FileName ), "Image Codec", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Information ); return false; } IntPtr img = IntPtr.Zero; int st = GdipCreateBitmapFromGdiDib( bminfo, pixdat, ref img ); if( (st != 0) || (img == IntPtr.Zero) ) return false; st = GdipSaveImageToFile( img, sd.FileName, ref clsid, IntPtr.Zero ); GdipDisposeImage( img ); return st == 0; }

  • W3 xHTML Validation Errors on jQuery code!

    - by Chris
I have some jQuery code that, without it in the document it passes validation fine, but with it in it causes errors. The code in question is here: $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "data.xml", dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { //Update error info errors = $(xml).find("Errors").find("*").filter(function () { return $(this).children().length === 0; }); if (errors.length == 0) { statuscontent = "<img src='/web/resources/graphics/accept.png' alt='' /> System OK"; } else { statuscontent = "<img src='/web/resources/graphics/exclamation.png' alt='' /> "+errors.length+" System error"+(errors.length>1?"s":""); } $("#top-bar-systemstatus a").html(statuscontent); //Update timestamp $("#top-bar-timestamp").html($(xml).find("Timestamp").text()); //Update storename $("#top-bar-storename").html("Store: "+$(xml).find("StoreName").text()); } }); There are loads of other jQuery code on the page which all works fine and causes no errors so I cannot quite understand what is wrong with this. The page isn't "live" so cannot provide a link to it unfortunately. The error it lists is document type does not allow element "img" here And the line of code it points to is here: statuscontent = "<img src='/web/resources/graphics/accept.png' alt='' /> System OK"; It also has an issue with the next assignment to statuscontent

  • Write a C++ program to encrypt and decrypt certain codes.

  • Custom Navigation Bar (html/css) for a website

    - by MikeStardust
I am making a website and though of a cool navigation bar that is suppose to look like this: And using css code: #navigation ul { list-style: none; text-align: center; } #navigation li { display: inline; } #navigation li a { text-indent: -5000px; display: inline-block; height: 40px; } #navigation li a.profile { width: 240px; background: url("http://i.imgur.com/pphPRAA.png"); text-decoration: none; } #navigation li a.profile:hover { background: url("http://i.imgur.com/bDwcbXd.png"); background-position: -240px; text-decoration: none; } #navigation li a.profile:current { background: url("http://i.imgur.com/bDwcbXd.png"); background-position: -240px; background-repeat: no-repeat; text-decoration: none; } I managed to make it look like this: http://pokemasters.freeiz.com/bare.html I just ran out of ideas.... i got the images that i made seperatly, a navbar: & buttons: I'm looking for a full width navbar that adjusts itself to different screens, is located at the bottom of the screen, red buttons while active or hovered and white buttons while normal, with that pokeball line right on top of it and overlaying the buttons Can someone point me in the right direction please?? thank you:)
