How to find maximum occuring integer(Mode) in an unsorted array of integers? One O(nlogn) approach I could think of is to sort. Is there any other best approach?
If i have DataGrid which looks like:

3 c
... ...

Can the order be reversed easily without sorting? So that n is first, and 1 is last. I have custom sort implemented from this article, but sorting the same column twice in a row calls sorting function twice (which is slow), so just reversing the order should be faster and have the same effect.
in typical PHP applications I used to use mysql_real_escape_string before I did SQL inserts. However I am unable to do that in Drupal so would need some assistance. And without any sort of function like that, user input with apostrophes is breaking my code.

Apple doesn't want anyone to create iPhone apps outside of the Xcode/Objective-C environment. How can they actually reinforce this?
If the other IDE's, for example Unity, compiles to an iPhone executable, how will Apple know which dev environment you used to create the app? Can they have Xcode compile some sort of signature into the executable that no one knows about?
Is it possible to compute the number of different elements in an array in linear time and constant space? Let us say it's an array of long integers, and you can not allocate an array of length sizeof(long).
P.S. Not homework, just curious. I've got a book that sort of implies that it is possible.
I noticed that if you call FindWindowEx or EnumChildWindows against a hWnd that belongs to a window that's not in the foreground, i.e. minimized, then they don't report any children. On the other hand if I first call SetForegroundWindow against the window I'm querying, and after that FindWindowEx or EnumChildWindows, they report all the children. Next calls report all the children even if the window I'm interested in is not in foreground. It's almost it does some sort of caching after the first call?

I understand what the functions clr, set and test are doing and explain them below: ( please correct me if I am wrong here ).
clr clears the ith bit
set sets the ith bit
test returns the value at the ith bit
Now, I don't understand how the functions do what they do. I am unable to figure out all the bit manipulation happening in those three functions.

In Salesforce you can set up various workflow processes or build API apps that send email. For most standard Salesforce orgs, there is a limit of 1000 emails per day. (e.g. see here)
I can't find any info on what happens after you reach the limit.
e.g. what sort of errors occur, and are administrators automatically notified?
Hi, lets say I have a script like that:
if(some condition)
begin
select somecolumn from sometable
end
Lets say, that "somecolumn" does not exist and the condition is not true, which means the select is NOT executed. Even though the select would not be executed, the script is not valid, Management Studio complains about the missing column "somecolumn".
Question: Can I somehow disable this sort of check so that the script is executed and since the if is not true, it will never notice that the column is missing?

I get poorly formatted invoice related email from my payment gateway. I wan to automatically format these emails to make them more readbale. Mostly I want to remove few 'fixed' lines which are always present in email body.
Do I need to run some sort of PHP process to do it?

I used Vaadin Table component in my application and i set a page length to 15, Length of the Table is not consistent in different screens resolutions . For example in 1440 x 900 resolution height of the table is big but in 1280 x 1024 resolution the height of the table is less . I don't know how to solve this problem.Can any one help me to sort out this problem.

I've read this article, which describes how instance vs static methods get called with a .NET regex.
However, what about if the instance itself is static? Does anyone know if .NET does any sort of caching that could potentially cause a memory leak?
Hey im new to python. How do you get a portion of a list by the relative value of its sorting key.

If I use the Finder's Go-Connect to Server and connect to an smb/afs, I can see the connection in netstat. But I can't see it in lsof. I also use LittleSnitch, and it fails to detect outbound connections from the Finder.
Why is this? Is there some sort of "Apple rootkit" that i'm not aware of?
I need to provide an update to application data as a download from a website. The update would actually just be the replacing of some data files with some updated ones.
The update, which I assume would be some sort of setup package type program, would need to be able to do the following:
access the file system and registry
to determine where files should be
copied to
supply the files to be copied
provide strong security so the data files cannot be downloaded or used by the wrong people
What would be best way to achieve all of the above?
I'm just learning how to do things, and want to start using some sort of version control for a web app.
What's most appropriate for deploying a python or php web app on my own? I'm using linux and have a linux server.

I recently came across a rather unusual coding convention wherein the call for a function returning "void" is prefixed with (void).
e.g.
(void) MyFunction();
Is it any different from the function call like:
MyFunction();
Has it got any advantage or is it yet another needless but there coding convention of some sort?

I am looking at writing a .net application that uses the Google AJAX Search API to determine where our website falls for a given term compared to a competitor.
I can find alot about the old SOAP API however for the new AJAX api I cannot find any information on the following:
Is this sort of use allowed as the Terms of use are vague
Is there a limit to the number of requests per day
As you can only get a max of 8 results at a time, is the only way to get the top 100 results to keep requesting the next set and is this an issue?

I am just wondering if its possible to trace MySQL queries on my linux server as they happen?
For example I'd love to set up some sort of listener, then request a web page and view all of the queries the engine executed, or just view all of the queries being run on a production server.

I'd like to do a webkit transformation (rotate an image, specifically) after the page loads rather than getting it pre-rotated at load. I'm guessing I need to use some sort of "onload" event to apply it or something, but I'm not a javascript guy.
Consider this situation:
I get an object of type A which has the function f. I.e:

My team and I are programming a sort of Document Manager and the idea is to store them completely on DB.
Is there a protocol or Extensions that allows us to show a "Virtual Directory" or files that are really non existent (only in DB). How does Sharepoint do this?
I understand that Sharepoint uses WebDav but it implies that the files do exist physically somewhere.
We intend to develop this application on .NET 4.0 and deploy it on IIS.
Any suggestions?
