What should be the effect of the HAVING clause here?

    I'm getting SQL update statements from NHibernate having a empty set clause ie UPDATE SET WHERE x == ? This propblem is occuring when a child entity is being updated for some reason the sql statement is being run against the Parent Entity, for some reason NHibenate is saying the parent has changed but when the set clause is being built no changes are found, can anyone help. The application I am constructing isn 3 tier. The domain entities are light weight data contract only entities.

    Is there any way to write a using statement without instantiating the IDisposable immediately? For example, if I needed to do something like: using (MyThing thing) { if (_config == null) { thing = new MyThing(); } else { thing = new MyThing(_config); } // do some stuff } // end of 'using' Is there an accepted pattern for cases like this? Or am I back to handling the IDisposable explicitly again?

So if theres a constructor for string, long and double but no bool how do i have this one line work for all of these support types? After reading the docs it seems that you can change the format of the master on the fly. Will the slave automatically adapt to whatever type of binary log it is sent? Do I have to make any changes to the slave or master to get ready for switching or can I simply modify the binlog_format variable on the master?

    I have a SQL table (MYSQL 4.0 to be precise) composed of the following : int no (primary) int field1 int field2 I would like to swap the values of field1 with the values of field2 and vice-versa. Ex.: 1;2.5;3.76 becomes 1;3.76;2.5 I need a swapping temporary variable of some sort. But I don't think I can use something like Set @var1 = field1 inside my update statement. And I don't think altering the table to add a temporary column is my best best either.

    I have this line of code for page load: if ($("input").is(':checked')) { and it works fine when the radio button input is checked. However, I want the opposite. Something along the lines of if ($("input").not(.is(':checked'))) { so that my if statement runs when none of the radiobuttons are selected. What is the best way to go about this?
