  • Can I use REG_EXPAND_SZ for the locations of shell folders instead of REG_SZ

    - by Jherico
I'm working on re-arranging a number of the shell folders in windows 7 to utilize Dropbox to keep a set of machines in sync. I'd like to create a .reg file which I can use to update the locations of these folders rather than manually changing them from the UI, but I don't want to rely on the path to the home folder being the same each time. So my question is, is it possible to replace the REG_SZ values in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders with REG_EXPAND_SZ values specifying an offset from %HOME% instead of an exact path?

  • SVN shared password db on Windows server

    - by Greg McGuffey
I'd like to have a shared password-db file for several repositories on my home svn server (run under Windows). I've figured out that I need to set all the repositories to have the same realm, but I can't figure out how to just put in an absolute path to the shared password-db. I.e. the full path is something like: c:\svn.users\passwrd What do I set the password-db setting to in svnserve.conf so it can find this file?

  • How to embed video in powerpoint with relative paths?

    - by Gabe
Does anyone know how to embed a video in a powerpoint presentation in such a way that it can be moved to another computer? Possible solutions I'm considering: Actually embed the video file into the powerpoint file. This would be ideal, but I don't know how to do this. Insert a reference to the video into the presentation. I need this to be a relative path, though, not an absolute path. EDIT: I forgot to mention I'm using powerpoint 2003

The version of Nginx on our host doesn't have try_files yet.

    - by Shamoon
My httpd.conf file looks like: <Directory "/path/to/mysite"> AuthType Basic AuthName "Restricted Files" AuthUserFile "/path/to/.htpasswd" Require user valid-user Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride All Order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> I generated my .htpasswd file using the htpasswd command: $ htpasswd ~/.htpasswd myuser So now when I restart apache, it prompts for a username and password, however, when I type in my username and password, it just prompts again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks My .htpasswd file looks like: myuser:$aaa1$rsU3A8zu$1xiIou2elcL3QLIPhzsaj0

  • issue with eclipse after checking out project from svn

    - by ali haider
After checking out a project from SVN, I am getting the following prompt in eclipse any time I try to change anything in the code: The compilation unit is not in the build path of the project There is no Java build path option when I right click on the project. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot or fix the issue will be greatly appreciated. Note: I tried changing the project file manually but now my project files are being displayed in separate directories inside the trunk.

  • How to get same cookie to control two different folders on same site.

    - by Incandescent
I am using the below cookie javascript to run a background color changer on my site. I want to also use it for the background color of my forum which is in a separate folder (http://lightbulbchoice.com/forum). I currently have it working on both the site and forum but you have to set each separately, i.e., each is setting it's own cookie. How do I get the forum to locate the main site cookie and not set it's own? // Cookie Functions - Second Helping (21-Jan-96) // Written by: Bill Dortch, hIdaho Design // The following functions were released to the public domain by him. function getCookieVal (offset) { var endstr = document.cookie.indexOf (";", offset); if (endstr == -1) endstr = document.cookie.length; return unescape(document.cookie.substring(offset, endstr)); } function GetCookie (name) { var arg = name + "="; var alen = arg.length; var clen = document.cookie.length; var i = 0; while (i < clen) { var j = i + alen; if (document.cookie.substring(i, j) == arg) return getCookieVal (j); i = document.cookie.indexOf(" ", i) + 1; if (i == 0) break; } return null; } function SetCookie (name, value) { var argv = SetCookie.arguments; var argc = SetCookie.arguments.length; var expires = (argc > 2) ? argv[2] : null; var path = (argc > 3) ? argv[3] : null; var domain = (argc > 4) ? argv[4] : null; var secure = (argc > 5) ? argv[5] : false; document.cookie = name + "=" + escape (value) + ((expires == null) ? • Mandatory profile on Terminal server fails to load. Userenv.log debug

    - by Datapimp23
Hi, We're having a lot of corrupted profiles lately on our profile share. At the moment I have no clue why, but I decided to switch to one mandatory profile since the users can all use the same and there is no need to have seperate profiles for each user. Here's what I did. I logged into the Terminal server with a new user and configured some stuff (imported certificates and a few files). Then I logged out. Later as admin I copied the profile to another server and renamed it to bsilo. I made sure the user hive settings were adjusted. Everyone had access to the hive. I shared the bsilo folder with full access for everyone. I set the NTFS permissions to read, read & execute, list folder contents for domain users. I also renamed NTUSER.DAT to NTUSER.MAN. Now I set a env variable %manprofile% on the Terminal server that points to \server\bsilo\ntuser.man I set the env var as terminal services profile path for a test user. When I log in I as the user get the following output The system cannot find the path specified. Can somebody point me in the right direction. • configuring slime in emacs

    - by CodeKingPlusPlus
I am in the process of configuring slime for emacs. So far I have read about basic functionality for common lisp such as C-c C-q which invokes the command slime-close-parens-at-point which places the proper number of parens where your mouse is. Another command that seemed cool was invoked by C-c C-c and it would pass the code you are editing in a buffer to the REPL, and "compile" it. Why won't these commands work for me? Anyway, I have downloaded slime via M-x list-packages and do not seem to have this functionality (C-h w and then any of these commands tells me that these commands do note exist). So, I saw a bunch of other slime extensions such as slime-repl', 'slime-fuzzy' and 'hippie-expand-slime'. So I again usedM-x list-packages` and downloaded them. Still I did not have these commands. Here is the content of my emacs file relevant to slime: ;;;Common Lisp and Slime (add-to-list 'load-path "/home/s2s2/.emacs.d/elpa/slime-20130626.1151") (add-to-list 'load-path "/home/s2s2/.emacs.d/elpa/slime-repl-201000404") (add-to-list 'load-path "/home/s2s2/.emacs.d/elpa/hippie-expand-slime-20130226.1656") (add-to-list 'load-path "/home/s2s2/.emacs.d/elpa/slime-fuzzy-20100404") (require 'slime) (setq slime-lisp-implementations `((sbcl ("/usr/bin/sbcl")) (ecl ("/usr/bin/ecl")) (clisp ("/usr/bin/clisp" "-q -I")))) (require 'slime-repl) (require 'slime-fuzzy) (require 'hippie-expand-slime) When I execute M-x slime I get the following message in the inferior-lisp buffer where I can execute common lisp code (however, shouldn't this be the slime-repl since I required it?): STYLE-WARNING: redefining EMACS-INSPECT (#<BUILT-IN-CLASS T>) in DEFMETHOD STYLE-WARNING: Implicitly creating new generic function STREAM-READ-CHAR-WILL-HANG-P. WARNING: These Swank interfaces are unimplemented: (DISASSEMBLE-FRAME SLDB-BREAK-AT-START SLDB-BREAK-ON-RETURN) ;; Swank started at port: 46533. Then a slime-error buffer is created with the contents: Invalid protocol message: Symbol "CREATE-REPL" not found in the SWANK package. Line: 1, Column: 28, File-Position: 28 Stream: #<SB-IMPL::STRING-INPUT-STREAM {10056B9C33}> (:emacs-rex (swank:create-repl nil) "COMMON-LISP-USER" t 5) How should I modify my emacs file to give me the functionality of those commands? In my emacs file am I not loading the necessary files? Do I need to install an additional package? If you need more information let me know! All help is much appreciated!

  • Configure spanning tree from HP to Cisco hardware

    - by Tim Brigham
I have three switches I'd like to configure in a loop - a Cisco stack (3750s) and two HP 2900 series. Each is connected to the next with a 10 gig backplane of one form or another. How do I configure the spanning tree on these systems to make this function correctly? • Alternate way to create a clone of a UNIX System

    - by Spirit
THE STORY: (If you don't like to read much, down below is the question :) ) Where I work we have two HP RP2470 servers same hardware same number of hard drives same everything :). One of them is a production server and runs HP-UX 11.00. The poor ba***rd hasn't been turned off for years and now I have to make a clone of it on the other server - just in case, for redundancy. The problem is simple (or not simple) as I have to make the the other server exactly the same. However the old version of OS (UX 11.00 is a history now) and the old software running on it, have made my task almost impossible. On the production server there is also a cloning/recover utility Ignite-UX. I tried many times to create a recovery tape with it. Then when I load the tape on the backup server, it succeeds with the loading of the tape (no errors no warnings) but on the next restart it fails to load the OS :S and drops into HP`s ISL prompt. --- THE QUESTION: Is there an alternate way to create a clone of the Unix System? The environment is: 1. 2x HP RP2470 Servers (non-Intel), same hardware, same number od HDDs (two each of them) same everything. 2. OS running: HP-UX 11.00 The production server has to be cloned without downtime - sadly :( as I hope that they will reconsider on this one For example (like on Windows platforms), if you try to copy an entire HDD with Windows inside on another HDD, and then put that HDD on another PC it will still work, as long as the hardware is the same. Can I do something like that with a Unix system? Can I somehow COPY the contents of the entire HDD, put those on another HDD, and then just load the HDD into the other server? (If you haven't read the story the servers are exactly the same) Will it work? Can it be done with ordinary commands like cp or dump or something like that? Does any one have a similar experience? --- UPDATE: 26.01.2012 NOTE: The update is related to "The Story". If you haven't read that part then you can skip this update. • Removing phantom applications from Application Pools in IIS7

    - by Col
I have an application in one of my application pools that has a virtual path of '/Site/login.aspx'. I want to remove it but it no longer exists on my computer and it's causing me issues setting up AppFabric. I understand that you can remove these phantom applications by recreating the application in IIS and then hitting Remove. That will get rid of the application from the pool but in this case I can't recreate the application due to the /login.aspx in the virtual path Any ideas how I remove this erroneous entry? Thanks

  • Apache redirect multiple domain names from https

    - by Cyril N.
My server distribute two main websites, says : www.google.com & www.facebook.com (yeah I know :p) I want them to be distributed via https. Using Apache, I defined a vhost file in sites-available/enabled containing this : <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName google.com Redirect / https://www.google.com/ </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName facebook.com Redirect / https://www.facebook.com/ </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot /srv/www/google/www/ ServerName www.google.com ServerAlias www.facebook.com <Directory ... /> # Google & Facebook points to the same directory (crazy right ?) # Next of the config </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:443> SSLEngine On SSLCertificateFile /path/to/google.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /path/to/google.key DocumentRoot "/srv/www/google/www/" ServerName www.google.com <Directory .../> # Next of the config </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:443> SSLEngine On SSLCertificateFile /path/to/facebook.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /path/to/facebook.key DocumentRoot "/srv/www/google/www/" ServerName www.facebook.com <Directory .../> # Next of the config </VirtualHost> If I access to https://www.google.com, the httpS works correctly If I access to https://www.facebook.com, the httpS works correctly. If I access to http://www.google.com, the http works correctly # Without https ! If I access to http://www.facebook.com, the http works correctly # Without https ! BUT : If I access to https://facebook.com, it fails saying that the SSL connection is not what expected : Google.com instead of facebook.com Based on my configuration file, I understand why, so I tried to add : <VirtualHost *:443> SSLEngine On ServerName facebook.com Redirect / https://www.facebook.com/ </VirtualHost> But then, I can't even access facebook.com nor www.facebook.com via http/https. So my question is quite simple : how can I redirect all https access to facebook.com (and eventually all sub facebooks : facebook.fr, www.facebook.fr, etc) to www.facebook.com (redirecting to www domain) in HTTPS ? Thanks for your help ! :)

  • How is it possible for mod_wsgi to be compiled against Python 2.7.3 but use the 2.7.2 runtime?

    - by Ian William Kohl
The following is what appears in my error_log: [Sat Nov 17 23:13:14 2012] [warn] mod_wsgi: Compiled for Python/2.7.3. [Sat Nov 17 23:13:14 2012] [warn] mod_wsgi: Runtime using Python/2.7.2. If I check my $PATH variable and even in /etc/paths, /usr/local/bin (which contains Python 2.7.3) comes before /usr/bin (which contains Python 2.7.2). Is there some other path that I'm missing out on? How can I get the correct runtime to be used?

  • Run batch file with custom drive mappings

    - by mwolfe02
I want to create a "mini virtual environment" to run a program. The only difference between my normal environment and the virtual one would be the drive mappings. I have an X: drive mapped to \\some\network\location I have a program myapp.exe that expects the X: drive to be mapped to C:\local\path I need to keep my X: drive mapped to \\some\network\location throughout the process I would like to be able to run the following batch file and not have it affect the current environment: subst X: C:\local\path myapp.exe
