• [JQuery] Edit Css with animation effect

  Hi, I've a div in a absolute position with a default "top" value set to "-200px". When i click on the div the "top" value is updated to "0". In this way I see the entire Div. This is the js: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#search_bar").click(function () { $(this).css("top","0"); }); }); Is there a way to achieve this result but with an animation? For example, a slide down effect? Also, when i click another time to the div I'd like that the "top" value will be restored to "-200px".

• jquery ajax call: multiple links load data into one div

  I have a dynamically generated list of links. Each link will request a different page to load. Depending on the link clicked I want it to fill the div with an ajax .load call. The thing is I want all links to reset and fill the same div. I am having trouble doing this without making a seperate div for each link, which isn't what I'm looking for. I checked the firebug 'net' tab and indeed i get a succesful response from the server of "jsonp1272724228884( {} );" Any ideas?

  I have a partial view that is rendered within a main view. The partial view takes advantage of System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations and Html.EnableClientValidation(). A link is clicked, and div containing the partial view is displayed within a JQuery.Dialog(). I then click the save button without entering any text in my validated input field. This causes the client side validation to fire as expected, and display the '*required' message beside the invalid field. When the cancel button is clicked, I want to reset the client side MVC validation back to it's default state and remove any messages, ready for when the user opens the dialog again. Is there a recommended way of doing this?

  Hi everybody, I have thought a bit recently about how to use getDelayed and getMulti in a PHP application, and their difference. From reading the documentation about getDelayed: "The method does not wait for response and returns right away. When you are ready to collect the items, call either Memcached::fetch or Memcached::fetchAll." So obviously there's a need to call fetchAll before having the keys available, unlike getMulti. But when is the actual memcached call being done? At fetchAll or when getDelayed is run?

• How can I edit a js file sent by the server before it gets to my browser?

  During a normal browsing session I want to edit a specific javascript file before the browser receives since once it gets there it's impossible to edit. Is there are any tool for this? For what I need it I can't just save it and edit it on my disk. I'm ready to learn how to program it myself but if anyone can point out more or less what I have to do I'd be very grateful. I'd have to intercept the packets until I have the whole file while blocking the browser from receiving it any part of it, then edit it manually and forward it to the same port. I don't think I can do this by just using pcap, I've read a bit about scapy but I'm not sure if it can help me either. Thanks in advance.

The project itself it's written in C/C++ following POSIX standards, with some library dependencies such as libxml2, libcurl and so on. I'm more a Linux developer rather than a Windows developer, so i have no idea of which compiler suite i should use to port the code.   I have the lat/lon of 2 points on the earth. They are really close together, <10m. Let's assume the earth is flat. How do I calculate the distance between them in metres? I know about tools (PostGIS, etc.) that can do this correctly, however I'm just doing a rough and ready type, and I'm OK with low accuracy. At such small sizes a difference of 1% is only 10cm, which is fine for me. I'm doing this in stock python. I'm OK with a standard Euclidean distance thing.

• C# Events between threads executed in their own thread (How to) ?

  Hello, I'd like to have two Threads. Let's call them : Thread A Thread B Thread A fires an event and thread B listen to this event. When the Thread B Event Listener is executed, it's executed with the Thread A's thread ID, so i guess it is executed within the Thread A. What I'd like to do is be able to fire event to Thread B saying something like: "hey, a data is ready for you, you can deal with it now". This event must be executed in its own Thread because it uses things that only him can access (like UI controls). How can I do that ? Thank you for you help.
