  • Struts2 combine with domain specific servlet

    I have struts2 web application. Right now I need embed with help of iframe some functionality from stand-alone servlet. But according to following rule, servlet is never get calling. <filter-mapping> <filter-name>struts2</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> Unfortunately I cannot change it to /prefix/* So does anybody know how to resolve it?     I understand domain-joined computers have machine accounts in AD and these accounts have passwords that expire (apparently every 30 days by default) and those passwords are automatically changed without user intervention. Given that this is known to cause issues when restoring snapshots of domain-joined virtual machines, is it possible to query the domain-joined computer or AD to determine when the machine account password is next scheduled to be changed?

I've Googled, and people seem to think no I've asked our hosting provider, and they don't think so I've looked in both the domain and client templates in Plesk and don't see it Has anyone been able to do this Plesk 8.6 for new domains?

    I am getting a lot of incoming requests with this structure: //domain_name/cache/22092e9b25c40809dfb94b6179166b26. I am running a .NET 4.0 website served from IIS 7.5. A lot of these URLs have no referrer URLs and come in randomly with a different 32 digit alphanumeric key. And I do not have any resource like '.../cache/...' on my website. I just want to eliminate such requests and want to understand where these are coming from at all. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Can Remote Desktop Services be deployed and administered by PowerShell alone, without a Domain in WIndows Server 2012 and 2012 R2?

    Windows Server 2008 R2 allowed deployment of Terminal Server (Remote Desktop Services) without a domain, and without any insistence on domains. This was very useful, especially for standalone virtual or cloud deployments of a server that is managed remotely for a remote client who has no need or desire for any ActiveDirectory or Domain features. This has become steadily more and more difficult as Microsoft restricts its technologies further and further in each Windows release. With Windows Server 2012, configuring licensing for Remote Desktop Services, is more difficult when not on a domain, but possible still. With Windows Server 2012 R2 (at least in the preview) the barriers are now severe: The Add/Remove Roles and Features wizard in Windows Server 2012 R2 has a special RDS deployment mode that has a rule that says if you aren't on a domain you can't deploy. It tells you to create or join a domain first. This of course comes in direct conflict with the fact that an Active Directory domain controller should not be the same machine as a terminal server machine. So Microsoft's technology is not such much a Cloud Operating System as a Cluster of Unwanted Nodes, needed to support the one machine I actually WANT to deploy. This is gross, and so I am trying to find a workaround. However if you skip that wizard and just go check the checkboxes in the main Roles/Features wizard, you can deploy the features, but the UI is not there to configure them, and when you go back to the RDS configuration page on the roles wizard, you get a message saying you can not administer your Remote Desktop Services system when you are logged in as a Local-Computer Administrator, because although you have all admin priveleges you could have (in your workgroup based system), the RDS configuration UI will not accept those credentials and let you continue. My question in brief is, can I still somehow, obtain the following end result: I need to allow 10-20 users per system to have an RDS (TS) session. I do not need any of the fancy pants RDS options, unless Microsoft somehow depends on those features being present. I believe I need the "RDS Session Host" as this is the guts of "Terminal Server". Microsoft says it is "full Windows desktop for Remote Desktop Services client. I need to configure licensing so that the Grace Period does not expire leaving my RDS non functional, so this probably means I need a way to configure TS CALs. If all of the above could technically be done with the judicious use of the PowerShell, I am prepared to even consider developing all the PowerShell scripts I would need to do the above. I'm not asking someone to write that for me. What I'm asking is, does anyone know if there is a technical impediment to what I want to do above, other than the deliberate crippling of the 2012 R2 UI for Workgroup users? Would the underlying technologies all still work if I manipulate and control them from a PowerShell script? Obviously a 1 word Yes or No answer isn't that useful to anyone, so the question is really, yes or no, and why? In the case the answer is Yes, then how.

  • Visual Studio: Debuggin non localhost domain, locally

    I have an entry in my hosts file that points somesite.com to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) so that I can test certain aspects of my web app (i goto http://somesite.com in a browser to test). Can someone suggest a way to debug a setup like this (in visual studio) that does not include using http://localhost? I understand that this can most likely be done using remote debugger, if that is the best way can someone explain how thats setup (or a link to a good article).

  • Do I need to transfer Server license CALs to new Domain Controller during AD transition?

    I have an old Server 2003 domain controller I'm ready to decommission. I notice in Server 2003 there is a Licensing module under Administrative Tools that seems to manage and track user CAL's for the domain controller. I don't see this on my newly promoted Server 2008 domain controller, nor do I see any roles to add it. Does this need to be transferred to my new Server 2008 domain controller or will it all happen when the old server is decommissioned? I've already transferred all my Terminal Server licenses to the new server. Thank you!

    Hi all. I have a domain name, and a wordpress account. The domain name isn't hosted anywhere at the moment. I just want to set it up so that my wordpress blog uses the domain. According to the wordpress help page on this issue, i have to do the following: Update your domain’s name servers to the following. Make sure to remove any existing name servers that are already there. NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COM So, this is the only thing that i need a server for - if i even need a server at all? Is there a really simple way i can do this for free? Or for very cheap? I'm a bit ignorant about this stuff: i do rails coding but don't get involved in the really technical stuff to do with servers and dns and what have you.

  • ADFS 2.0 Server Prompts For Credentials When Using FQDN

    We have an ADFS test enviroment set up, but we are running into issues with login prompts. If we browse to ADFS from Domain A we get a token sucessfully from ADFS, however when we browse from Domain B we are getting prompted for credentials. Domain A trusts Domain B but Domain B does not trust Domain A. The weird thing is, if we replace the full domain name with the server's IP address we can sucessfully get through from both domains. I feel like this should be a really simple solution, but we're stumped.

    I'm working on an application which use ajax call to get html from the server. When I run it on the server, everything works fine. But when I'm running on a localhost, I've a 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' error. I looked arround and it seems like using jsonp could be the solution. So, my ajax call looks like that: $.ajax({ url: url, dataType: 'jsonp', crossDomain: true, type: 'GET', success: function(data){ // should put the data in a div }, error: function(){ //do some stuff with errors } }); I get html from the server, but I always have this error: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token < Is there a way to wrap the jsonp response in html?   • Nhibernate Fluent domain Object with Id(x => x.id).GeneratedBy.Assigned not saveable

    Hi there, I am using for some legacy db the corresponding domainclasses with mappings. Now the Ids of the entities are calculated by some stored Procedure in the DB which gives back the Id for the new row.(Its legacy, I cant change this) Now I create the new entity , set the Id and Call Save. But nothing happens. no exeption. Even NH Profiler does not say a bit. its as the Save call does nothing. I expect that NH thinks that the record is already in the db because its got an Id already. But I am using Id(x = x.id).GeneratedBy.Assigned() and intetionally the Session.Save(object) method. I am confused.     I fount this answer, but wanted to expand on the question and couldn't find any solutions here on stack or through searching google. Substring domainname from URL SQL Basically the link above solves my problem with a simple URL like parsing "www.google.com" with the result of google. What I am looking for to expand on that is the solution from the link above doesn't help with url's like 'www.maps.google.com' that just returns maps. WHat I would like is to have it return 'google' from the url 'www.maps.google.com' or return 'example' from 'www.test.example.com'. If anyone has a solution to this, I would greatly appreciate it. Update: To be more specific I will also need parsing on second level domains etc. 'www.maps.google.com.au' to return 'google' Here is my Sql function.   • Logformat for catching asked hostname in a *.domain.com scenario?

    I have an Apache 2.2 VirtualHost with a *.domain.com Servername. This is required for my scenario, all subdomains are handled with the same site. Now, in the access log, I am trying to figure out a logformat variable (or way) that will let me log the asked for domain name. If I use the vhost_combined format, all I get in my access log is *.domain.com entries, not the actual vhost that was asked for. Anyone know how to do this?

    is there a way to run gwt on a proxy loaded web page ? ex) using proxy script on myexamplesite.com that loads finance.google.com, and running GWT on the newly loaded page. I've been doing the above before I found about GWT, using LAMP stack + Jquery (UI), which quickly turned out to be crap and inefficient. All this trouble to bypass browser's default Single Origin Policy. So, right now, is it possible to overcome this problem with GWT ? Is it possible to some how, run javascript on a html page from finance.google.com loaded into myexamplesite.com's frame with GWT or other solution? I am not looking to do JSON or RSS related topics. What I need is high lighted in bold. Is GWT + Gears what I should be using ? Thank you.

    I have some data, stateNames, to instantiate an instance of the object Country. Right now, I will only have one Country but stateNames for each country should be different. What is the best way to instantiate the instance of Country with my data? I am new to grails and would appreciate any "best practices" or common designs. One solution I can think of is to use BootStrap to save the unitedStates instance of Country to the database. What are the cons of this approach? Another solution would be to save the data in a file (in xml?) under web-app folder. If I did this approach, should the unitedStates instance of Country be instantiated by a controller?

  • VPS with multiple domains, can EXIM send mail from a different domain?

    I building a site for a client on a VPS running CentOS 5.5 with cPanel WMH 11.28.60. The original domain is XXXXXinvestmenttrust.com. He has about a dozen domains on this server. The site I am building will have confirmation emails as well as provide users to anonymize their email address (like craigslist) I set up email piping to forward emails, but they are all being trapped in the spam folder. A close look at the headers, the emails appear to be comming from [email protected] rather than the actual domain. The IP has a rating of Neutral on www.senderbase.com. I believe it is the conflicting information in the header (the fields set by me, specify the actual domain where the headers put in place by EXIM specify to name of the server) Somewhere I read about SPF & MX entries can fix this, but I have been unable to figure out how. Also, All of the domains use the same IP, and the other websites do not send emails. So I could possibly make the domain in question, the primary (where all emails are sent from that domain by default) Is that possible?
