• Is it possible to destroy a CDI scope?

  I'm working on a Java EE application, primarily JAX-RS with a JSF admin console, that uses CDI/Weld for dependency injection with @ApplicationScoped objects. Minor debugging issues aside, CDI has worked beautifully for this project. Now I need some very coarse-grained control over CDI-injected object lifecycles. I need the ability to: Remove an injected object from the application context, or Destroy/delete/clear/reset/remove the entire application context, or Define my own @ScopeType and implementing Context in which I could provide methods to perform one of the two above tasks. I'm fully aware that this is across, if not against, the grain of CDI and dependency injection in general. I just want to know Is this remotely possible? If yes, what is the easiest/simplest/quickest/foolproofiest way to get the job done?

  I have a database that acts like a triple store, except that it is just a simple MySQL database. I want to select all triples that have a common predicate and object. Info about RDF and triples I can't seem to work out the SQL. If I had just a single predicate and object to match I would do: select TRIPLE from TRIPLES where PREDICATE="predicateName" and OBJECT="objectName" But if I have a list (HashMap) of many pairs of (predicateName,objectName) I am not sure what I need to do. Please let me know if I need to provide more info, I am not sure that I have made this quite clear, but I am wary of providing too much info and confusing the issue.

  Hey Guys, having an issue with linq, I am basically doing the following but it is saying it is "UserProfile does not contain definition for Username" in the current context where I wrote "u.Username" but it does exist I have added UserProfile table to MyDbml.dbml and if I connect to another table it works fine.   Hello, I am attempting to return a image from a server using Silverlight 3. The server returns the Response stream like this: context.Response.ContentType = imageFactory.ContentType imgStream.WriteTo(context.Response.OutputStream) imgStream.Close() context.Response.End() On the Silverlight client I am handling the stream like: Dim request As HttpWebRequest = result.AsyncState Dim response As HttpWebResponse = request.EndGetResponse(result) Dim responseStream As IO.Stream = response.GetResponseStream() I want to take that stream and open the browsers save dialog, one option I have explored is using the Html.Window.Navigate(New Uri("image url")) and this opened the correct browser default dialog but it is not an option because I need to send extended information(e.g. XML) to the server through the HttpRequest.Headers.Item and the Navigate doesn't allow this. How can I take a Response Stream and force the default browser Save dialog to appear from the Silverlight Application without using the Html.Window.Navigate(New Uri("image url"))?

  This is what I would like to do. I would like to load content dynamically. Everything except the actual content will be rendered by javascript. I will place all the require information in a javascript variable or array at the bottom of the page. Then I will use javascript to place the content in the designated area. These are the types of things I would like javascript to render: Login menu Header and logo info Side bar info Footer info Dialog popups Ads All of the MEAT content will not be rendered by javascript. I will use the backend server to put the content in html. My logic is that more of the real content will be in HTML and all the other things will be rendered by javascript. Will this help or hurt SEO?

• Scale div in an upwards direction, instead of down?

  I have a custom info window over a google map, sometimes these info windows contain an image. When they do, the info window scales down over the marker it is positioned over as soon as the image has finished loading. So the images take longer to load and the div's position has already been calculated by the time the image is finished loading. I do believe there is a way of checking if an image has finished loaded, but that seems a long route - is there not a simple way with JS or CSS to get the div to scale upwards instead of down. Anyone have any clues?

  I have a single lookup table that manages all lookups - legacy and new lookup table structure is context,name, code, value context is either legacy or new name is the name of the lookup - state, status etc...for example code is the code and value is the value associated with the code Is there a way to specify multiple columns as discriminators so that I can get all legacy state code/values or all new status code/values. • Android: make a scrollable custom view

  Hey, I've rolled my own custom view and can draw to the screen alright, but what I'd really like to do is set the measuredHeigh of the screen to, say, 1000px and let the user scroll on the Y axis, but I'm having problems doing this. Can anyone help?
