• problem while switching between Portrait and landscape in android views

• ShGetFileInfo called for directory oddity

  Hello, I have a simple file browser and there I display files and folders, obtained by (for directory) SHFILEINFO info = new SHFILEINFO(); SHGetFileInfo(filename, FILE_ATTRIBUTE_DIRECTORY, ref info,Marshal.SizeOf(info), SHGFI_ICON | SHGFI_USEFILEATTRIBUTES | SHGFI_SMALLICON | SHGFI_ADDOVERLAYS); It works 100% fine, but I have noticed an oddity - if I try to obtain an icon for directory, but specify FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL instead of FILE_ATTRIBUTE_DIRECTORY but it does weird stuff for directories - normal folders have "unknown file type white paper" icons, recycle bin has VLC icon, etc. Directories under SVN have proper overlay, but base file icon (white sheet of paper). I understand that base icon for directory would now be the one of unknown file, but why do some folders have totally strange icon? Config.MSI has installer icon, recycle bin has VLC icon (wtf?!), etc. What does the shell function do with this parameters? Exactly what icon does it obtain? Again, this is not a problem, I'm just curious.

  In my app, I use Groovy as a scripting language. To make things easier for my customers, I have a global scope where I define helper classes and constants. Currently, I need to run the script (which builds the global scope) every time a user script is executed: context = setupGroovy(); runScript( context, "global.groovy" ); // Can I avoid doing this step every time? runScript( context, "user.groovy" ); Is there a way to setup this global scope once and just tell the embedded script interpreter: "Look here if you can't find a variable"? That way, I could run the global script once. Note: Security is not an issue here but if you know a way to make sure the user can't modify the global scope, that's an additional plus.

  I use Spring 3 to make a simple configuration. I have an XML file called PropertyBeans.xml like that : <bean id="propertyBean" class="com.myapp.PropertyBean"> <property name="rootDirLogPath" value="C:\Users\dede" /> </bean> I have the bean which match this XML and then I want to use this bean with the value injected. Actually I have : ApplicationContext context = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("AppPropertyBeans.xml"); PropertyBean obj = (PropertyBean) context.getBean("propertyBean"); String rootDirLogPath = obj.getRootDirLogPath(); This works great but I want to know if there's a way to avoid the instantiation of ApplicationContext at each time I want to use a bean. I've heard about BeanFactory is that a good idea? Which are the others solutions? In other words: Am I supposed to called this Application context instanciation in every Controller in spring MVC?

• How to determine Windows Java installation location

  I'm trying to dynamically run a .jar from a C# assembly (using Process.Start(info)). Now, from a console application I am able to just run: ProcessStartInfo info = new ProcessStartInfo("java", "-jar somerandom.jar"); In an assembly, however, I keep getting a Win32Exception of "The system cannot find the file specified" and have to change the line to the full path of Java like so: ProcessStartInfo info = new ProcessStartInfo("C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre6\\bin\\java.exe", "-jar somerandom.jar"); This obviously won't do. I need a way to dynamically (but declaratively) determine the installed location of Java. I started thinking of looking to the registry, but when I go there I noticed that there were specific keys for the versions and that they could not even be guaranteed to be numeric (e.g. "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.6" and "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.6.0_20"). What would be the most reliable "long-haul" solution to finding the most up-to-date java.exe path from a C# application? Thanks much in advance.

  I'm trying to implement an OpenID provider with DotNetOpenAuth. I supply an OpenID url, and the consumer discovers my endpoint. I log into my provider, and the provider returns a Claimed Identifier and a Local Identifier to the consumer. But the consumer response has the following exception: The OpenID Provider issued an assertion for an Identifier whose discovery information did not match.   Hi, I am running a C# application, and during run-time I get the following error: The CLR has been unable to transition from COM context 0x20e480 to COM context 0x20e5f0 for 60 seconds. The thread that owns the destination context/apartment is most likely either doing a non pumping wait or processing a very long running operation without pumping Windows messages. This situation generally has a negative performance impact and may even lead to the application becoming non responsive or memory usage accumulating continually over time. To avoid this problem, all single threaded apartment (STA) threads should use pumping wait primitives (such as CoWaitForMultipleHandles) and routinely pump messages during long running operations. Can anyone please help me out with the problem here? Thanks a lot.

The problem is that the data is completed correctly on the form but the images are not uploaded. Can anyone help with advices/code/guidance?

Take a look for yourself: http://www.isahat.com The template breaks right away since the first button of the Tab menu is linked to index.php like so: Home Info The second tab menu shows my Info page just fine, but on top of everything else. My home page and everything else gets shifted down to make room for Info page. • I can't get areas working in VS2010

  I just upgraded from VS2010 RC to RTM. Now my areas aren't working. I have a Profile area with a Home controller and an Action method Index(). If I try: http://localhost:4951/profile I get a 404 error saying that the resource can't be found. If I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home I get the same error. However, if I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home/index then the view is returned. When I comment out "exampleView: Spanish.CustomListItemView" I can select rows, but they are no longer formatted properly. Why can I no longer select rows when I use exampleView?

So for for-loops and if-statements i have to have braces, even though i only want to span one line. Furthermore there is more i have to change if i want to use a Javascript Library like underscore.js. • How can I modify an Android bitmap in C++ (JNI/NDK) so that I can use on the Java side?

  I call a C++ function over JNI and pass a RGBA_8888 bitmap, lock it, change the values, unlock it, return and then display it in Java with this C++ code: AndroidBitmap_getInfo(env, map, &info) < 0); AndroidBitmap_lockPixels(env, map, (void**)&pixel); for(i=info.width*info.height-1;i>=0;i--) { pixel[i] = 0xf1f1f1f1; } AndroidBitmap_unlockPixels(env, map); The problem I have is that the bitmaps looks not as I expect it and the pixel values (verified with getPixel) are not the same when I check them in Java from what I set them in C++. When I set the bitmap values to 0xffffffff I get the correct value in Java, but for many others I don't. 0xf1f1f1f1 for example turns into 0xF1FFFFFF. What do I have to do to make it work ? PS: I am using Android 2.3.4

  I have a class (from NSObject) that contains: NSString name int position float speed I then create an array (NSMutableArray) of objects from this class. I would like to then sort the array by the 'speed' value, which is a float. I initially has the float value as an NSNumber and the int as NSInteger, and I was successfully sorting with: [myMutableArray sortUsingFunction:compareSelector context:@selector(position)]; where myMutableArray is my array of objects. here is the function: static int compareSelector(id p1, id p2, void *context) { SEL methodSelector = (SEL)context; id value1 = [p1 performSelector:methodSelector]; id value2 = [p2 performSelector:methodSelector]; return [value1 compare:value2]; } Now that I am using int instead of NSInteger, the above code does not work. Is there a more low-level command that I should be using to execute the sort? Thank!

• How to change the app name in OSX menubar in a pure-Python application bundle?

  I am trying to create a pure-Python application bundle for a wxPython app. I created the .app directory with the files described in Apple docs, with an Info.plist file etc. The only difference between a "normal" app and this bundle is that the entry point (CFBundleExecutable) is a script which starts with the following line: #!/usr/bin/env python2.5 Everything works fine except that the application name in the OSX menubar is still "Python" although I have set the CFBundleName in Info.plist (I copied the result of py2app, actually). The full Info.plist can be viewed here: http://tinyurl.com/32qgpjt How can I change this? I have read everywhere that the menubar name is only determined by CFBundleName. How is it possible that the Python interpreter can change this in runtime? Note: I was using py2app before, but the result was too large (50 MB instead of the current 100KB) and it was not even portable between Leopard and Snow Leopard... so it seems to be much easier to create a pure-Python app bundle "by hand" than transforming the output of py2app.

  Hi there, i have a very simple question about Google Maps API. In this case, i have on my page a map on the left, with about 40 points, and the list of these 40 points on the right. So you know, when you click on a point of the map, the "info window" is displayed so you can see some informations about it. I can't find how can i do to simply open the "info window" on the map, by making a "hover" on the corresponding link.   During a code review I presented a method quickly to the team that I had made static and one person agreed that there was no reason for it to not be static and a person disagreed saying that he would not make it static because it wasn't necessary and just to be on the safe side for future modifications and testing.   Need some help figuring out how to best Store Passwords, User information/Profile data and Photo/Video albums for a social website? For photos/videos the actual photo/video + even encrypting the URL with the IDs to the photo/videos so other users cannot figure it out. Creating a site like myspace and designing retirement documents but i am unsure how to specify the security requirements for the database. Two things: 1) Protect from outside users 2) Protect all these from employees being able to access this info For #2, the additional question is: If we encrypt the user info and password so even the system admins cannot get in, how can we retrieve the user data tomorrow if someone flags the user's account as spam and admin needs to check it out or if law enforcement wants info on a user? Where is it configured ? Question 2 How could I run 2 applications in parallel ? I guess I need to configure one of them to be on other port (like 3001). How should I do this ?

  Hi I know that Spring doesn't supports Interface injection and I've read that many a times. But today as I came across an article about IOC by Martin Fowler (link), it seems using ApplicationContextAware in Spring is some what similar to the Interface injection. when ever Spring' context reference is required in our Spring bean, we'll implement ApplicationContextAware and will implement the setApplicationContext(ApplicationContext context) method, and we'll include the bean in the config file. Is not this the same as Interface injection, where where telling the Spring to inject (or), say, pass the reference of the context into this bean? Or I m missing something here?
