    Is there a way to retrieve a list of the contents of a public Dropbox folder (preferably in PHP)? This is what a URL to a public file in Dropbox looks like: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1234567/publikPholder/textytext.txt One would think that jumping up one level to the directory in the URL... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1234567/publikPholder/ ...would show all the public files. Nope. Nothing but a 404.

  • Posting an action works... but no image

    I'm able to post an open graph action to facebook using the following url: https://graph.facebook.com/me/video.watches with the following post data: video=http://eqnetwork.com/home/video.html?f=8e7b4f27-8cbd-4430-84df-d9ccb46da45f.mp4 It seems to be getting the title from the open graph metatags at the "video" object. But, it's not getting the image (even though one is specified in the metatag "og:image"). Also, if I add this to the post data: picture=http://eqnetwork.com/icons/mgen/overplayThumbnail.ms?drid=14282&subType=ljpg&w=120&h=120&o=1&thumbnail= still no image. Any thoughts? Brian

  • Play youtube video in full screen ?

    Hi all, First of all sorry, If somebody finds this question is repeated (haven't found any by myself). But when used in the iPad, on clicking the web view it starts playing the video in the web view itself and shows options to go to full screen, while I want to start the playback in the full screen from the beginning, like it does in the iPhone.   • Facebook Thumbnails Issue Traced to safe_image.php

    For some reason, facebook's safe_image.php script isn't generating thumbnails, properly. It's generating a 1x1 image... even though the correct image is linked in the script's parameters. Example: <img class="img" alt="" src="https://s-external.ak.fbcdn.net /safe_image.php?d=AQBtrCt_Es_KsED0&w=90&h=90&url=http%3A%2F %2Fwww.southlapatriots.info%2Fimages%2FScamra%2FJayCastilleCouncil2.jpg" The linked image is correct, but it is still only generating a 1x1 image.

  • Paypal IPN Confirmation Screen immediately after redirect without reload

    Hi I made a script for IPN which works great but how can i immediately notify the user? I mean paypal redirects the customer to a custom-page i can define, simultanously my ipn.php checked the status, BUT how can i immediately tell the customer on this custom-page that it was successful or not. this custom-page does somehow has to know that this is the customer-xyz which made the ipn-verified!!! payment xyz, but how? i think also this custom-page redirect should wait the 5 seconds because php does only process files/request on-loads... so after 5 seconds the ipnscript surely did complete. Sorry if this question is too newby but i dont know how to notify the customer about the (ipn-verified!!!) payment-status immediately. How do you do this? Thanks so much

  • Location tagging facebook open graph actions so that only friends in that location view in their feeds

    Is there a way to tag open graph actions so as to target certain recipients and not others? For example, if my app talks about new coffee shop openings in various cities, is there a way to publish the 'opening' action to the graph, perhaps with location / coordinates, such that this is only seen by friends in that locality? I really don't want to spam my friends in London about an opening I'm excited about in Portland. How can I help facebook with the feed relevance in these cases? I noticed that there is a "place" property on open graph objects - could this somehow be used?

I've dug up the fact that you need to pass "WT.srch=1" over in the url from the advert, but are there other parameters which you can use to segment: Campaign Adgroup Ad network I know you can do this with Google Analtics at the drop of a button using the various UTM tags, but Webtrends seems to use the proprietary WT. tags.     I'm trying to find any reference for this function, but I haven't found anything. All I have is an obscure KB from Microsoft referencing that a programmer made boo-boo when coding a part of the Windows Mobile 6 where he should call SHGetSysColor but instead he called GetSysColor that gives a complete different color, for the same spec. From what I could gather the GetSysColor read a color value in the registry from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Color\SHColor or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Color\DefSHColor and returns the color according to the index. What I can't get a fix on is what each index mean, as I have 41 different colors in there. Googling for SHGetSysColor in gives me only 7 matches, two of them are the KB from Microsoft (one in English, the other in French) one is from a Russian site (which I don't read), yet another two are from the freepascal.org and one from Koders.com that is describing the commctl.def file. I went to the commctl.h trying to see if I could find reference tom this function, and found absolutely nothing. No search on MSDN, either fro Google, Bing, or the default MSDN search gave me any result. So, does anyone know what indexes are we talking about here?

  • How do I recover from an unchecked exception?

    Unchecked exceptions are alright if you want to handle every failure the same way, for example by logging it and skipping to the next request, displaying a message to the user and handling the next event, etc. If this is my use case, all I have to do is catch some general exception type at a high level in my system, and handle everything the same way. But I want to recover from specific problems, and I'm not sure the best way to approach it with unchecked exceptions. Here is a concrete example. Suppose I have a web application, built using Struts2 and Hibernate. If an exception bubbles up to my "action", I log it, and display a pretty apology to the user. But one of the functions of my web application is creating new user accounts, that require a unique user name. If a user picks a name that already exists, Hibernate throws an org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException (an unchecked exception) down in the guts of my system. I'd really like to recover from this particular problem by asking the user to choose another user name, rather than giving them the same "we logged your problem but for now you're hosed" message. Here are a few points to consider: There a lot of people creating accounts simultaneously. I don't want to lock the whole user table between a "SELECT" to see if the name exists and an "INSERT" if it doesn't. In the case of relational databases, there might be some tricks to work around this, but what I'm really interested in is the general case where pre-checking for an exception won't work because of a fundamental race condition. Same thing could apply to looking for a file on the file system, etc. Given my CTO's propensity for drive-by management induced by reading technology columns in "Inc.", I need a layer of indirection around the persistence mechanism so that I can throw out Hibernate and use Kodo, or whatever, without changing anything except the lowest layer of persistence code. As a matter of fact, there are several such layers of abstraction in my system. How can I prevent them from leaking in spite of unchecked exceptions? One of the declaimed weaknesses of checked exceptions is having to "handle" them in every call on the stack—either by declaring that a calling method throws them, or by catching them and handling them. Handling them often means wrapping them in another checked exception of a type appropriate to the level of abstraction. So, for example, in checked-exception land, a file-system–based implementation of my UserRegistry might catch IOException, while a database implementation would catch SQLException, but both would throw a UserNotFoundException that hides the underlying implementation. How do I take advantage of unchecked exceptions, sparing myself of the burden of this wrapping at each layer, without leaking implementation details?

  • Facebook proxy email not arriving -- do I need permissions?

    I'm building a website that allows user to connect using Facebook Connect. So far I'm able to log the user in and fetch data about them (name, email, pic, etc.). If I fetch the email (using Users.getInfo) I get a proxied email ([email protected]), which is absolutely great. Problem is, that email doesn't work. I've tried sending an email to it and I never received it. There are two reasons I see that could cause this: I don't have enough permissions. Ok, I can understand that, but if I don't have enough permissions then why are they returning an email at all? The email has to be somehow sent from the application itself (I've tried sending it from my Gmail account) -- but how would Facebook know that the email is coming from the application? So which is it? Or is it something else?
