    Hi, I have a huge text file, which follows the structure: SET TAG1 ... ... SET ... SET TAG2 ... ... SET ... ... I would like to extract for a specific TAG, (i.e. TAG54) its individual "substructure", which would be SET TAG54 ... ... SET Each substructure, for a given TAG_i contains always: first line:SET second line:TAG_i (in this case TAG54) an arbitrary number of lines last line:SET I wonder what would be the best way to do this, whether in bash or python, so for a given TAG, one can "extract" this substructure.   • height: auto does not work to automatically resize header

    I'm trying to do a simple thing in CSS I have a header tag and inside that a couple of h tags. So, in order to have a responsive design I do height:auto; inside the header tag, so it will automatically stretch to contain the h tags. Right? But does not work, headeris just a line in the top of the page. t should stretch to contain the titles, right? What am I missing? Is it a good practice to put CSS in the h tags and not style header at all? So h tags will be like the header in user's eye? Thanks in advence Check it here

    Hi i have a document from which i am trying to extract a date. But the problem is within the node along with the date their is some text too. Something like <div class="postHeader"> Posted on July 20, 2009 9:22 PM PDT </div> From this tag i just want the date item not the Posted on text. something like ./xhtml:div[@class = 'postHeader'] is getting everything. and to be precise, the document i have is basically a nodelist of this elements for eg i will get 10 nodes of these elements with different date values but to be worse the problem is sometime inside these tags some random other tags also pops us like anchors etc. Can i write a universal expath which will just get the date out of the div tag?

    I want to convert an array of Place objects to json, I've been doing it like this: var places = <%= @places.to_json.html_safe %>; The only problem is that every place in the @places array has an associated tag list that doesn't get included. I'm using the acts_as_taggable_on gem to handle tags, so to get the tag list for a place I need to say place.tag_list. What do I have to do to get the tag_list included for each place in the javascript array? I think I'll need to write my own to_json method but I don't know how. Thanks

I'm detecting the 2 events in the body <body onResize="doDisp();" onScroll="doDisp();" > where doDisp is this inside the <script> tag <script type="text/javascript"> function doDisp(){ alert("browser changing state"); } </script> but isn't it bad practice to have javascript in the body tag? Is there a cross-browser way to keep all the javascript inside the <script> tags?

  • How could I insert a string into the response stream anywhere I want?

    There may be an easy way to do this but I can't see it... I created a simple Http Module that starts a timer on the PreRequestHandler and stops the timer on the PostRequestHandler to calculate the time it took the page to load. I then create some simple html and write my results to Response.Write. Since I'm doing this in the PostRequestHandler it's adding my results after the </html> tag. That's fine for testing but I need in a scenario where the page needs to validate. I can't seem to figure out how I could manipulate the Response object to insert my results before the </body> tag. Response.Write and Response.Output.Write don't have that flexibility and I couldn't see a way to work with the Response as a string. Am I missing something easy?

"2002-11-28T14:00:00Z" I want to just display the time portion. For which I would have to apply filter date: 'hh:mm a' I tried ng-model="labor.start_time | date: 'hh:mm a'" Please let me know how i can show only time portion in input box showin time only. I cant use span tag as the time a user can change so have to show in input tag. Thanks

    Do search engines treat the alt text of an image placed within an h1 tag the same way they would treat regular text placed in an h1 tag? I gave a search through here looking for an answer to this question, but was only able to find information on image replacement and the infamous h1 debate. For example would: <h1><img src="#" alt="Contact Us" /></h1> Act the same as: <h1>Contact Us</h1> In the electronic eye of a search engine? This seems considerably less "CSS Hacky" than other image replacement techniques like negative text indents, display:none, height:0, or ridiculous z-index integers.

  • Any tips for how to build a LED system thet will light up to music?

  • Why isn't this working - using :not() with an event handler

    I seem to have another issue that I am not conquering. Real simple premise. I have a mousedown event, and basically IF one particular element on the page is clicked, I want nothing to happen, else I want hide() some div. $(function(){ $("document :not(#_ignorelement)").mousedown(function(event){ if($('#_hidethiselement').length){ $('#_hidethiselement').hide(); } }) }) That is not working at all. In a class, and type $class- it gives me about a zillion options, so not only from the class itself but also from php, all globals ever created, in short: a mess.   • Make exact mp4 (H264) format for uploading to youtube

    With ffmpeg I'm converting video from mp3 and picture to upload it to youtube. After upload, conversion fails. Reasons are unknown. I believe the problem is in format. By the way If I'm uploading file 5 minutes length, it fails if I upload 30 seconds of this file it succeeds. I have donwload mp4 file from youtube. Then I uploaded it, it is done very fast. So a nice solution would be to convert videos to the same format that is done by google.
