    I'm looking to develop a signature control for the iPad. I haven't really done this before, but I think this involves creating an area to draw, the draw itself and the storage. Any tips on how to get started will be great! I'm also looking at using a stylus to create a signature. Are there any styluses that are specifically built for the iPad?     Hi, How can I do long-polling using netty framework? Say for example I fetch http://localhost/waitforx but waitforx is asynchronous because it has to wait for an event? Say for example it fetches something from a blocking queue(can only fetch when data in queue). When getting item from queue I would like to sent data back to client.     I have a PHP regular expression that has been functioning fairly well to parse some odd legacy client templates until recently when we found an escaped question mark (\?) included in a template expression. I'm not strong enough with my regular expression-fu to wrap my feeble noodle around a negative look ahead or some techno-mumbo-jumbo so, tips or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Following are the things I have in mind: 1) use high level scripting language like python or perl instead of shell script for a more comprehensive functionality and error handling 2) check that the file exists at the destination after FTP 3) check destination file size.   • Using tramp with EmacsW32 and cygwin, possible?

    Hi, I have some trouble setting up Tramp with EmacsW32 and cygwin. I have configured emacs to use cygwin as shell using w32shell. I also set the HOME enviromental variable to c:/cygwin/home/myusername Problem is that tramp seems to hang and that no connection is made: "Tramp waiting for prompts for the new shell". I have tried to turn on debugging, but still only see this message. Looking forward to get some tips on this. Thank you.

    I'm trying to import a matrix (about 80.000 rows) from a csv file to Octave. The obvious solution seems something like: load("-ascii","relative_directory/the_file.csv") or maybe renaming the file and trying: load("-ascii", "relative_directory/the_file.txt") Yet I keep getting the error: load: failed to read matrix from file "relative_directory/the_file.csv" or .txt without anymore details. Any tips are appreciated.

  • Adding a UINavigationController to a UITabBarController

    I have a set of 10 navigationViewControllers i want to the UITabBarController this all just works fine except the fact when i want to see a UINavigationController that is in the "more" tab it doesn't switch to it. it does nothing. if i change that to a UIViewController it just works fine .. ok in the more tab you automatically have a UINavigationController to you disposal but if the user switches the tab's order and its not anymore in the "more" tab you don't have a UINavigationController .. any tips ?

    I have a .net 4 application that uses a Com Dll to send SMS messages. I used TlbImp to create the interop assembly and that is what is referenced in the application. When I try to create an instance of this class, it takes a really long time (2-5 seconds). I ran performance profile in VS 2010 and the call that takes the longest by far is System.Activator.CreateInstance(). I am looking for tips on how to debug or gotchas with using Com Interop.

    Okay. I have completed my first python program.It has around 1000 lines of code. During development I placed plenty of print stmt before running a command using os.system() say something like, print "running command",cmd os.system(cmd) Now I have completed the program.I thought about commenting them but redirecting all these unnecessary print (i can't remove all print stmt- since some provide useful info for user) into a log file will be more useful? Any tricks or tips.

    We have distributed team with client and contractor term in different location. The client has sufficient license for TFS system and they use it for development. We do not have sufficient license to use the TFs so we use the local Subversion and it works fine. The problem is merging the two source is always painful. Any tips shall be appreciated.
