  I'm looking to develop a signature control for the iPad. I haven't really done this before, but I think this involves creating an area to draw, the draw itself and the storage. Any tips on how to get started will be great! I'm also looking at using a stylus to create a signature. Are there any styluses that are specifically built for the iPad?   I'm making a report at work which looks at 5 columns which all contain v1aa, v1ab and v1ac. What I want to do is count up all the v1aa in the 5 columns and show the results (and the same for v1ab and v1ac) An example of how I like it to be displayed as is as follows :- Amber = 3 (v1aa code) Blue = 2 (v1ab code) Red = 1 (v1ac code) Could anyone give me any tips how to get me started?

  Hi, How can I do long-polling using netty framework? Say for example I fetch http://localhost/waitforx but waitforx is asynchronous because it has to wait for an event? Say for example it fetches something from a blocking queue(can only fetch when data in queue). When getting item from queue I would like to sent data back to client.   I have a set of 10 navigationViewControllers i want to the UITabBarController this all just works fine except the fact when i want to see a UINavigationController that is in the "more" tab it doesn't switch to it. it does nothing. if i change that to a UIViewController it just works fine .. ok in the more tab you automatically have a UINavigationController to you disposal but if the user switches the tab's order and its not anymore in the "more" tab you don't have a UINavigationController .. any tips ?

  Hi, I have some trouble setting up Tramp with EmacsW32 and cygwin. I have configured emacs to use cygwin as shell using w32shell. I also set the HOME enviromental variable to c:/cygwin/home/myusername Problem is that tramp seems to hang and that no connection is made: "Tramp waiting for prompts for the new shell". I have tried to turn on debugging, but still only see this message. Looking forward to get some tips on this. Thank you.

  I'm trying to import a matrix (about 80.000 rows) from a csv file to Octave. The obvious solution seems something like: load("-ascii","relative_directory/the_file.csv") or maybe renaming the file and trying: load("-ascii", "relative_directory/the_file.txt") Yet I keep getting the error: load: failed to read matrix from file "relative_directory/the_file.csv" or .txt without anymore details. Any tips are appreciated.

  Okay. I have completed my first python program.It has around 1000 lines of code. During development I placed plenty of print stmt before running a command using os.system() say something like, print "running command",cmd os.system(cmd) Now I have completed the program.I thought about commenting them but redirecting all these unnecessary print (i can't remove all print stmt- since some provide useful info for user) into a log file will be more useful? Any tricks or tips.

  I have a .net 4 application that uses a Com Dll to send SMS messages. I used TlbImp to create the interop assembly and that is what is referenced in the application. When I try to create an instance of this class, it takes a really long time (2-5 seconds). I ran performance profile in VS 2010 and the call that takes the longest by far is System.Activator.CreateInstance(). I am looking for tips on how to debug or gotchas with using Com Interop.
