  • mysqldump triggering repair of MySQL tables

    I have an automated backup of a 6 Gigabyte MySQL database running very two hours. I also have a script which checks every minute for the need to repair MySQL tables. Increasingly I'm getting tables having to be repaired during the backup process with the message returned of: Auto-increment value: 0 is smaller than max used value: xx Is this being caused by corruption? Are the two scripts conflicting? Any ideas?

    Dreamweaver CS4 auto-detects the language for non unicode programs in windows, in my case it is russian, and conviniently sets the default encoding to be western european instead of the much preferred utf-8, it also changes several bits of text in DW into russian. how do i disable this detection and maintain Dreamweaver in full english? (without having to change the language for non-unicode programs in windows)

    I just recently set up a mixture of RHEL 6.1 Rackspace cloud hosts and RHEL 6.2 dedicated hosts using Rackconnect. I am experiencing intermittent Redis timeouts from within our Rails 3.2.8 app with Redis 2.4.16 running on the RHEL 6.2 dedicated hosts. There is no network latency or packet loss. Also there are no errors on any interfaces on our cloud or dedicated servers or on the managed firewall from Rackspace. When Redis timesout, there is nothing logged within redis even though it is set up to do debug logging. The only error we receive is from Airbrake saying there was a Redis timeout.   • My facebook blocking ACL has stopped working

    This probably very simple. This was setup before I arrived, and has been working to block facebook. I recently eliminated some static port forwarding on this 2691 (as in, I don't think anything else has changed), and now facebook is once again accessible. Why is this list not doing what it seems like it should be doing (and was doing)? Would an extended outbound ACL be more appropriate (I think that would have been my thought if I had been tasked with creating this in the first place)? Something different?     I am using word 2007 and am inserting code into the document. I have a style with a fixed-width font and light grey background and all, and I use Notepad++ for syntax highlighting. My problem is with a "line" of code that is too long to display, so is there a way to auto-insert an arrow symbol at the beginning of a such lines to indicate that it is the same line (kind of like hyphenating, except on long lines instead of long words) So for e.g. something like this: public static void foo(String abcdefg, Boolean 123, ?String xyz)

However, my computer has its locale set to Denmark.   • My pivot chart has the wrong Y axis values but correct data point values

    I created a pivot chart based on some raw data for the x axis (dates) and 4 calculated fields for the Y values. The values on resulting lines are correct (see the data label at the end of the line) but the Y axis is off by about 100, but not off by any consistent amount. I have played with auto axis on and off, turn log scale on and off. All to no avail. Does anybody have any thoughts? Image link
