• Different Providers, different websites, still think I'm logged in on the same website.

  I have two web applications in the same solution. They both use different membership/profile and role providers. They are named differently. When I run the solution, and visit one website, and login everything is fine. I then go to the other solution and it thinks I am already logged in and the profile provider tries to load profile properties that do not exist. How can I keep them separate, so when I try to log in on one site, it doesn't think I'm still logged in on the other.

• IE6 image scaling with bicubic filter

  I have a project where I have to resize some images in the actual browser side. IE8, FF3 et al all apply a filter to smooth the resizing of the image, so in these browsers everything looks good. In IE7 I have applied the following fix which works great: -ms-interpolation-mode:bicubic; In IE6 however I can only find references to the AlphaImage Filter (the same one used to enable alpha transparency on PNG files). However I can't find an example of how to use it, nor have I been able to get it working myself. Can anyone provide me with an example? Preferably applied to actual img tags, though I could use background images if required.   I'm trying to shrink the log of a database AND set the recovery to simple, but always there is an error, whatever i try. USE 4_o5; GO ALTER DATABASE 4_o5 SET RECOVERY SIMPLE; GO DBCC SHRINKFILE (4_o5_log, 10); GO the output of sp_helpfile says that log file is located under (hosted solution): I:\dataroot\4_o5_log.LDF please help me perform this operation as the log file got large when importing a lot of data and now this info is no longer needed, have multiple (lots of) backups since then. the exact error message when performing the query above is: incorrect syntax near '4'. RECOVERY is not a recognized SET option. incorrect syntax near _5_log'. i am using visual studio 2010 (also have SQL Server Express installed locally, SQL Server 2008 proper installed at provider (shared)) thnx a lot

  According to the MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa387314%28v=VS.85%29.aspx) the PFXImportCertStore function imports the cert/key into Base CSP (MS_STRONG_PROV) or Enhanced CSP (MS_ENHANCED_PROV). However, to use RSA/SHA2 signatures, I need to import the key into the Enhanced RSA and AES CSP (MS_ENH_RSA_AES_PROV) and I can't find a way to do it. The documentation mentions "provider name" from the PFX packet, but I can't find any way to set it for a pkcs12 file generated by a 3rd party (e.g. OpenSSL). Thank you in advance.

• How do I add Polylines in gmaps4rails v2

  I upgraded to the latest version of gmaps4rails (v2) and am having some issues getting polylines drawing. I can get markers working with the sample code on the wiki, but if I change the addMarkers to addPolylines, nothing renders in the map.   Hi, I'm trying to implement Membership controls in a mvc 2 application and i'm having trouble dealing with the MembershipUser class. I have my own data store (in Postgresql) and I'm using Nhibernate to deal with it from C#. The thing is, I have my own user class, but I can't use it with any provider I found that implements Membership, because all the functions return the predefined MembershipUser class and cannot return my own. I'm losing my mind here, is there any way i can work with this, or should I implement everything myself? thanks in advance!

• DDE Server Windows:orcascr9.exe: Application Error

  Hello I've looked at the queries on SO that pertain to similar errors - but haven't found anything so far, to help with this particular problem I am having with an orcascript which I am running under Powerbuilder9.0. The orca script connects to an SCC service provider, does a full target refresh, and then is supposed to build the exe. It never gets to the last step though. The log is not very informative and simply says this at the point of failure: PBORCA_SccRefreshTarget. Full Rebuild Calling cm_rebuild_application(CM_REBUILD_FULL) While the script is at some way into this above step, it exits and throws up the DDE server error. Can someone help me figure this one out? I just barely know the basics of PB, and the intent of this exercise is to convert an IDE-based build that I inherited, into an orcascript build so that i can run the build unmonitored. • Is OpenId easier or harder for users?

  I'm wondering if I should use OpenId for my website. My first exposure to OpenId was StackOverflow, and I found it confusing that they only had a login link, yet no register link. Now that I've learned about OpenId though I prefer it over the regular way of registration. I have a feeling that only a small percentage of the internet users know how to login with a third party account provider, and most would prefer just to create an account. It makes sense for StackOverflow to use OpenId since the target audience is tech-savvy, however my website caters to the general public. Does anyone have any statistics or first hand experience with using OpenId versus regular registration?

• Membership.ValidateUser always returns false after upgrade to VS 2010 / .NET 4.0

  Not sure whether this pertains to VS 2010 or to the upgraded framework, but... we are using the Oracle membership provider to authenticate users. Prior to the upgrade everything worked fine, but now Membership.ValidateUser(user, password) returns false despite valid credentials. There is no exception thrown, so it's hard to determine what the problem might be. The website administration tool in VS 2010 is still able to manage users and roles (more or less), so I have no reason to question connectivity. What might the problem be?

  Hello, We have been using ActiveMQ 5.2 in our distributed enterprise application for about 3 months. During that time, we have experienced debilitating failures at least twice weekly. In particular, we see: 1) Topic publisher has its connection arbitrarily closed and experiences EOF on attempt to publish. Note well that this issue is not a function of some timeout. It does not correlate reliably with any inactivity. 2) Queue listeners never receive message. Message simply sits on Queue. 2) is much rarer (hardly ever) than 1). In both cases, the failures are highly intermittent-- they cannot be reliably reproduced through any testing usage pattern. Also, there are no errors or warning in the AMQ logs. Have others experienced similar problems? Is there an opinion that some other JMS provider is more reliable? thanks, Joe

In case of publishing of derivative works the original work and author (me) must be mentioned (incl. textual link to my website in a not-very-far-hidden place) and the derivative work must have different name. A derivative work can be closed-source. In every case of commercial (when the end-user is a commercial body (as a company (expect of non-profit companies), an individual entrepreneur or government office)) usage of my work or any of derivative works made by anyone, the end-user, service provider or the derivative author must buy a commercial license from me. I mean no guarantees or resoinsibilities, either expressed or implied... (except the case when one explicitly purchases a support service contract from me and the particular contract specifies a responsibility). Is there a known common license for this case? May it be OSI-approved?

  I have recently started learning python and django and working on a project that includes building a website for collecting information from customers. I am currently trying to figure out best way to isolate the customer data (collected information is sensitive and should only be accessible by customer and the service provider). I found this post Postgresql - one database for everyone, or one-database per customer and my question is that can I automate the model inheritance with customer creation via admin? To be specific, when save() is called for adding customer via django admin, this should create the customer specific tables (create a new set of tables with 'company_name' -prefix). For more information of the environment, I have extended the basic user registration with custom UserProfile adding 'company' and 'role' fields for each user. Upon login, the 'company' of the user will be checked to filter out tables without the 'company_name' prefix. 'Role' will further filter the which company-specific tables and set rights (view, edit). will appreciate any suggestions if more elegant methods could be used to solve the data isolation problem than model inheritance.

• Is it possible to programmatically switch error log providers with ELMAH?

  Is it possible to switch from using the XML provider to SQL Server using ELMAH? I need to investigate this option because of the fallibility of our SQL Server where our ELMAH errors are stored. I want to be able to fail gracefully and continue logging to XML if the server fails. I can see that programmatic connection string switching is possible, and I see that ELMAH Issue 149 announces the programmatic configuration of default error log, but I can't actually see any code examples anywhere, so I'm not too sure if this is possible. I'm guessing it is, in which case does anyone know for sure? My question is similar to this one, except that I want to try and log errors to SQL Server, and if that fails switch to XML, not log to all stores all the time.

Prior to running the test, DBUnit inserted a User record with username "poweruser" -- username is the primary key in the users table.   My ASP.Net MVC 2 project references a Domain project where POCO business objects are defined and a Data project where EF 4 POCO persistence is implemented. Things were running well until I had a little fussiness with my version control provider (rollback to previous version left me with merge conflicts). Now, upon launching the MVC 2 project, I get a runtime error: The type 'System.Data.Objects.DataClasses.IEntityWithKey' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'System.Data.Entity, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'. However, every project references System.Data.Entity (same version). If I remove the reference to System.Data.Entity from the MVC 2 project, I get the same message as a compile-time error. I'm pretty sure something got messed up when I had the version control issue, but really not sure where to look for this one.

  I am wondering about my VPS providers ubuntu terminal. Are all these terminals the same? I think they are so user-UN-friendly. I can't copy-paste into the terminal, when I try opening textfiles, I can't scroll up and down easily. I cant save easily. Nothing is easy... Is it always like this with Ubuntu? Is there any way to make it easier? I use windows but I login to my vps provider with login details and then simply click "terminal" to open the terminal. Please help me out here

It is in a read-only database. Please help me to resolve this Thank You

And i would like to know if there is a way to show the directory of the database file (to save data in it)excpet like this: string connectionString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=save.mdb"; or this: "Data Source=D:\Simonova aktovka na namizju\matura\test5\save.mdb"; couse if i use the first one the aplication undos the changes i've made when i close it(the aplication) the second one makes me have to change the path everytime i bring the aplication to another computer(cous the direktory is different of coars) So... is there another way?

  I have a Microsoft Access database file connected to VB.NET. In the database table, I have a 'No.' and a 'Status' column. Then I have a textbox where I can input an integer. I also have a button, which will change the data cell in 'Status' where 'No.' = textbox.Text(), when I click it. Let's say I want the 'Status' cell to be changed to "Low".
