  • Preference values - static without tables using a model with virtual attributes

    Im trying to eliminate two tables from my database. The tables are message_sort_options and per_page_options. These tables basically just have 5 records which are options a user can set as their preference in a preferences table. The preferences table has columns like sort_preferences and per_page_preference which both point to a record in the other two tables containing the options. How can i set up the models with virtual attributes and fixed values for the options - eliminating table lookups every time the preferences are looked up?

    I can't narrow down this bug, however I seem to have the following problem: - saveState() of a horizontalHeader() - restart app - Modify model so that it has one less column - restoreState() - Now, for some reason, the state of the headerview is totally messed up. I cannot show or hide any new columns, nor can I ever get a reasonable state back I know, this is not very descriptive but I'm hoping others have had this problem before.

    Several of our database tables contain LastModifiedDate columns. We would like these to stay synchronized based on a single time-source. Our best time-source, in this case, is the SQL Server itself since there is only one database server but multiple application servers which could potentially be off sync. I would like to be able to use NHibernate, but have it use either GETUTCDATE() or DEFAULT for the column value when updating or inserting rows on these tables. Thoughts?

    I have a programmatically created TableLayoutPanel. It works fine but I couldn't find something: how can I make it size columns automatically when the form is resized? The panel is set to Dock.Top and when I resize the form instead of sizing every column as percents, only last column grows. What can I do for this? What I want to do is select a distinct username+location where only the most recent item (by timestamp) is provided.
