  • can't publish my asp.net project?

    dears, when try to publish my mroject I get this error: Error 3 Task failed because "AL.exe" was not found, or the correct Microsoft Windows SDK is not installed. The task is looking for "AL.exe" in the "bin" subdirectory beneath the location specified in the InstallationFolder value of the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A. You may be able to solve the problem by doing one of the following: 1) Install the Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5. 2) Install Visual Studio 2008. 3) Manually set the above registry key to the correct location. 4) Pass the correct location into the "ToolPath" parameter of the task.

  • XCode project complains about missing files if a linked framework contains private headers

    My Problem is this: My framework contains public and private headers - the public headers import private headers in the framework My app that links against this framework imports public headers Now when I compile it, XCode complains about missing files (the private headers that are indirectly imported via the frameworks public headers). I read somewhere on stackoverflow that I should do this: "In the public header file use @class to include other interfaces and use #import in the implementation file (.m)." I find this solution pretty unsatisfying - you have to use it for circular dependencies, too. Is there any better way to keep my headers private?

    Hello, I added ffmpeg iphone port into my library and I can able to use a few of its functions like avcodec_init(),.. without any errors.   • GraphicsDevice is null in my XNA Windows Game project

    Hello All, I have just started trying to make a simple game with XNA 3.1 to help myself learn C# and XNA. I have run into a bit of an interesting problem, however. In all of the tutorials, one is supposed to pass GraphicsDevice when instantiating a new spriteBatch object like this: spriteBatch = new SpriteBatch(GraphicsDevice); One might even do this: GraphicsDevice objGraphics = new graphics.GraphicsDevice; spriteBatch = new SpriteBatch(objGraphics); where graphics is the GraphicsDeviceManager. However, no matter which version I try, I always get an ArgumentNullException when I try to pass the GraphicsDevice object to spriteBatch's constructor. Almost every tutorial I have found gives the first one and only one mentioned the second option. Has anyone else run into a similar error or know what could be causing this? I am working in Windows 7 x64 with Visual Studio 2008.

And i am confused as to how to go about it...i mean do i catch the error in the DLL and throw it back to the BLL and from there throw it back to my code or what.... can any one please help me how do i implement a clean and easy error handling techinque help you be really appreciated.     Hi All I am learning Java through BlueJ I would like to add a removeLot method to the Auction Class in BlueJ Chpt 4. This involves also returning the lot with the given number or null if there is no such lot. If you enter , say 5 lots and then use the remove method, this codes removes whichever lot you specify. However if you enter a new lot after using the removeLot method - an internal error message comes up regarding lotnumbering . Any ideas? I have 4 dropdowns and a repeater in the page.based on the selection(search criteria) from the dropdowns the repeater value will change. and one dropdown selection will bind values to the other dropdown also. Since the page is causing a lot of postback we decided to implement ajax here. I am yet to learn ajax. Can anyone tell what is the best way to do this .which ajax control replace dropdowns? i have already server side code written on all dropdowns. I fixed some permission issues, and changed the user that Mailman expects to be called from, among other things.     Hey, Since week I use ToirtoiseSVN and AnkhSVN and GoogleCode and sourceforge.net as my project hosting. For me it's frustrating to fill all this forms before create next project. So I start thinking about mu own repository hosting... Can I use simple file hosting etc. and install there software like use Google or SourceForge to have my own SVN Server ? My point is to have independent repository in internet without all this uselessly UI interface which give me Google and SF to administrate my version control. I don't want to take advantage of already exist hosting like GoogleCode etc - I want to be independent from them! ;) Or maybe it's other way to do my own repository hosting and FREE ;) Please don't tell me that I'm at mercy of commercial hosting... :/ p.s. If I wrote something wrong, sorry ;)

  • Different files on shared partition?

    I am dual-booting Windows 8 and Ubuntu 12.04. My partition scheme looks like this: /dev/sda1 - Windows 8 (nfts) /dev/sda2 - Ubuntu / (ext4) /dev/sda3 - Ubuntu home (ext4) /dev/sda5 - swap /dev/sda6 - Shared data partition (exfat) (First off, yes I do have exfat libraries installed on Ubuntu) I created some PNG images in Windows and saved them on my shared partition. From Ubuntu, I edited the images in GIMP and saved them (replacing the ones on the shared partition). When I boot into Windows, the files appear unchanged - exactly like they did before I edited them from Ubuntu. I even added a folder and deleted some other files, but none of these changes exist in Windows. When I boot into Ubuntu, all of the changes are still there. It is as if Windows is caching the old file structure... How is this possible? Thanks in advance.   • Encrypt text using a number

    Project Euler I have recently begun to solve some of the Project Euler riddles. I found the discussion forum in the site a bit frustrating (most of the discussions are closed and poorly-threaded), So I have decided to publish my Python solutions on launchpad for discussion. The problem is that it seems quite unethical to publish these solutions, as it would let other people gain reputation without doing the programming work, which the site deeply discourages. My Encryption problem I want to encrypt my answers so that only those who have already solved the riddles can see my code. The logical key would be the answer to the riddle, which is always numeric. In order to prevent brute-force attacks on my answers, I want to find an encryption algorithm that takes a significantly long time (few seconds) to run. Do you know any such algorithm? I would fancy a Python package, which I can attach to the code, over an external program that might have portability issues. Thanks, Adam

  • Rails - Cant get http_accept_language gem to work in my rails project

    I'm internationalizing my app and I've installed the http_accept_language gem on my system I've placed config.gem 'http_accept_language' into my environment.rb file but every time I try to run this code in my controller request.user_preferred_languages it complains of no method error. There are no other instructions on the readme on github... am I missing something? EDIT - Problem solved. after a good nights sleep I came back and realised I hadnt restarted the server. I hate it when that happens.
