• Is it possible to add custom fields to a Drupal taxonomy term?

  I'd like to add a date field to a drupal taxonomy term, alongside the default "title" and "description" Is there some technique/php/module that lets me do this? Is it possible to do with CCK?? I need to be able to display the new field in the same view presenting the content nodes referencing the term. At the moment, I've added a date field to the content nodes with CCK, and it's displayed by the view. But that's not exactly what I'm going for, I just want to update one date per term.

  Hello all. I'm trying to populate a page with X entries from my tumblr feed, and I'm wondering how I can only pull that X number from the JSON object it returns. • How to properly name record creation(insertion) datetime field ?

  If I create a table with datetime default getdate() field that is intended to keep date&time of record insertion, which name is better to use for that field ? I like to use Created and I've seen people use DateCreated or CreateDate. Other possible candidates that I can think of are: CreatedDate, CreateTime, TimeCreated, CreateDateTime, DateTimeCreated, RecordCreated, Inserted, InsertedDate, ... From my point of view anything with Date inside name looks bad because it can be confused with date part in case if I have 2 fields: CreateDate,CreateTime, so I wonder if there are any specific recommendations/standards in that area based on real reasons, not just style, mood or consistency. Of course, if there are 100 existing tables and this is table 101 then I would use same naming convention as used in those 100 tables for the sake of consistency, but this question is about first table in first database in first server in first application.

  There are a lot of articles devoted to working with data in MVC, and nothing about MVC 2. So my question is: what is the proper way to handle POST-query and validate it. Assume we have 2 actions. Both of them operates over the same entity, but each action has its own separated set of object properties that should be bound in automatic manner. For example: Action "A" should bind only "Name" property of object, taken from POST-request Action "B" should bind only "Date" property of object, taken from POST-request As far as I understand - we cannot use Bind attribute in this case. So - what are the best practices in MVC2 to handle POST-data and probably validate it. UPD: After Actions performed - additional logic will be applied to the objects so they become valid and ready to store in persistent layer. For action "A" - it will be setting up Date to current date.

  Hi I need to assign a formatted date to a column in a data flow. I have added a Derived Column editor and entered the following expression: "BBD" + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,4)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),1,4) + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,2)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),6,2) + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,2)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),9,2) The problem is that the "Derived Column Transformation Editor" automatically assigns a Data Type of "Unicode string[DT_WSTR]" and a length of "7". Howver, the length of a string is 11, therefore the following exception is thrown each time: [Best Before Date [112]] Error: The "component "Best Before Date" (112)" failed because truncation occurred, and the truncation row disposition on "output column "Comments" (132)" specifies failure on truncation. A truncation error occurred on the specified object of the specified component. Does anyone know why the edit is insisting on a length of 7? I don't seem to be able to change this. Many thanks, Rob.

  Hey guys, I have a WordPress site for a client. He owns a video store, and I made a site for him to update the list of movies, usually just the "new this week" movies. The Pod has a field where you insert the release date. 2010-04-20 Then there is a Pod page/template combo that calls the movies with a certain release date like this: $date = pods_url_variable('last'); He then just creates a blank WP page with the slug 2010-04-20 So when you open that page, the Pod page/template reads that slug and renders a list of the appropriate movies. My problem: I need these to be searchable. Is this possible. I'm also open to suggestions on other ways to go about making this site work. I need it to be as simple as that. Uploads some movies and creates a new page. Then the rest is done automatically. Please and thank you guys

  I'm using DateJS to parse user-inputted dates, and getting some strange results. Date.parse("15 Jan 2010") returns Fri Jan 15 00:00:00 EST 2010 (right) Date.parse("15-Apr-2010") returns Thu Apr 15 00:00:00 EDT 2010 (right) Date.parse("15 Apr 2010") returns Thu Apr 1 00:00:00 EDT 2010 (wrong) As far as I can tell, the d MMM yyyy input format works fine for every month except April and August; in those two cases, it returns the first of the month no matter what day is entered. Is this a bug, or is there a logical explanation I'm missing?

What I'm looking for is an array that has the timestamp of week start (monday 00.00 to sunday 11.59) that I can then use in MYSQL queries. Has anyone got an code that might assist?   Hi, my date formatting in PHP is d-M-Y and I'm trying to match the dates with a javascript regex: s.match(new RegExp(/^(\d{1,2})(\-)(\w{3})(\-)(\d{4})$/)) To be used with the jQuery plugin, tablesorter. The problem is it's not working and I'm wondering why not. I tried removing the dashes in my date() formatting (d M Y) and tried the ff and it worked: s.match(new RegExp(/^\d{1,2}[ ]\w{3}[ ]\d{4}$/)); My question is what is the correct regex if I'm using dashes on PHP's date() i.e. d-M-Y? I am using from_dt as a virtual attribute (string). The 'presence of' and 'format of' validation errors show up on the form, but when the user enters an invalid date format on the form and Date.Parse raises an exception I have a 'errors.add_to_base' statement in the rescue clause. Can anyone tell me why this error does not show up in the form error messages when I disable the 'format of' validation. thanks.

• Converting a year from 4 digit to 2 digit and back again in C#

  My credit card processor requires I send a two-digit year from the credit card expiration date. Here is how I a currently processing: I put a DropDownList of the 4-digit year on the page. I validate the expiration date in a DateTime field to be sure that the expiration date being passed to the CC processor isn't expired. I send a two-digit year to the CC processor (as required). I do this via a substring of the value from the year DDL. Is there a method out there to convert a four-digit year to a two-digit year. I am not seeing anything on the DateTime object. Or should I just keep processing it as I am?

We are storing the hash and the binary file in a SQL DB. This works fine when we upload the same instance of a file. But when we save a new instance of the file from the DB (with today's date as the create/modify) on the file-system and then check the new hash versus the MD5 stored in the DB they do not match, and therefor fail a duplicate check. How can we check for a file hash excluding the file attributes? or is there a different issue here?

  Im facing problem with Trail period and first month payemnt. My requirement is users can signup with trial period which allow new users to have a 30 day free trial. This means they will not be charged the monthly price until after the first 30 days the regular amount will be charged to user. but the next billing date should be one month later the profile start date. but next billing data and profile start date shows same when i query by GetRecurringPaymentProfile?   I need to create a report in Crystal 2008 and I've haven't developed a report using Crystal in many years. When the user runs the report, I want them to be able to enter a start date and end date. I assume I can do this by using parameters. My question is this. Can I do this with a single parameter value or will it require two parameter values?   Hi There! I have an issue with expiration date in emails. For example, I have a subscription which expires on 1st FEB 2010 and I am purchasing new subscription (renewing my role). When order is complete Ubercart CA (Condition actions) sends an email about role renewal and new expiration date ([role-expiration-short]). But the message contains wrong expiration date I've noticed that on each order email contains N-1 expiration, where N - current purchase. This is email message: [order-first-name] [order-last-name], Thanks to your order, [order-link], at [store-name] you have renewed the role, [role-name]. It is now set to expire on [role-expiration-short] <- ISSUE IS HERE. Thanks again, [store-name] [site-slogan] Any ideas? Thanks!

I need to traverse the list and combine it so that I only have one instance of the structure per date.
