Like any real time scenario where there can be aggregation corresponding to one method and composition related to other method.     Hi, I'm having trouble using a tab bar control. Basically, when I build and run I'm just getting the blank white default "Window" screen. Control drag from the App Delegate to the Tab Bar Controller. Drag a Navigation Controller from the Library to MainWindow.xib. Control drag from the App Delegate to the Navigation Controller. Drag a second Navigation Controller from the Library to MainWindow.xib. Control drag from the App Delegate to the Navigation Controller. This completes all the connections between the App Delegate and the tab bar and two navigation controllers. By using IB to set up the tab bar and navigation controllers in this way, you need not allocate and init the controllers in AppDelegate.m. When you build and run this, you will see the tab bar controller and two navigation controllers. Is there a step there that he missed? How do I hook the Tab Bar Controller up to the Window? EDIT: Do I need to do something like this? mainTabBar = [[UITabBarController alloc] init]; [window addSubview:mainTabBar.view]; That's still not working, but I feel like I'm on the right track? Why can't this all be done from Interface Builder?

    I have a class (mxml) that extends Button while implementing drag/drop support. When I drag one of them onto another, the drag receiver stays stuck in its 'over' phase until I click on it (As if something about DragManager.acceptDragDrop is preventing the MouseEvent from getting to button) Is there a way to make a button re-evaluate its phase after the drop? I've tried fabricating a MouseEvent and sending it to rollOverHandler with no luck.   • Ubuntu - Ruby Daemon script creates two processes - sh and ruby - PID file points at sh, not ruby

    The PID file for a ruby process I have running as a daemon is getting the wrong PID. It appears that running /etc/init.d/sinatra start creates two processes - sh and ruby, and the PID that ends up in the PID file is that of the sh process. This means that when I then run /etc/init.d/sinatra stop or /etc/init.d/sinatra restart, it is killing sh and leaving the ruby process still running. I'd like to know a) why is my script launching two processes - sh and ruby, and not just ruby, and b) how do I fix it to just launch ruby? Details of the setup: I have a small Sinatra server set up on an ubuntu server, running as a daemon. It is set to automatically at server startup run a script named sinatra in /etc/init.d that launches the a control script control.rb, which then runs a ruby daemon command to start the server. The script is run under the 'sinatrauser' account, which has permissions for the directories the script needs. contents of /etc/init.d/sinatra #!/bin/bash # sinatra Startup script for Sinatra server. sudo -u sinatrauser ruby /var/www/sinatra/control.rb $1 RETVAL=$? exit $RETVAL To install this script, I simply copied it to /etc/init.d/ and ran sudo update-rc.d sinatra defaults contents of /var/www/sinatra/control.rb require 'rubygems' require 'daemons' pwd = Dir.pwd Daemons.run_proc('sinatraserver.rb', {:dir_mode => :normal, :dir => "/opt/pids/sinatra"}) do Dir.chdir(pwd) exec 'ruby /var/www/sinatra/sintraserver.rb >> /var/log/sinatra/sinatraOutput.log 2>&1' end portion of output from ps -A 6967 ? 00:00:00 apache2 10181 ? 00:00:00 sh <--- PID file gets this PID 10182 ? 00:00:02 ruby <--- Actual ruby process running Sinatra 12172 ? 00:00:00 sshd The PID file gets created in /opt/pids/sinatra/sinatraserver.rb.pid, and always contains the PID of the sh instance, which is always one less than the PID of the ruby process EDIT: I tried micke's solution, but it had no effect on the behavior I am seeing. This is the output from ps -A f. This output looks the same whether I use sudo -u sinatrauser ... or su sinatrauser -c ... in the service start script in /etc/init.d. 1146 ? Before I ran sudo mongod --dbpath /home/lucas/node/nodetest2/data, there were none (besides the grep of course). How did my command spawn two PID's, and should I be concerned? Any suggestions or tips would be great. Additional Info In addition, I may have other issues that might suggest a cause. I tried running mongo with --fork --logpath /home/lucas..., but it did not work. It was originally created under the default /var/lib/mongodb/ and moved to my local data folder. This was done after shutting down the server via /etc/init.d/mongod stop. I have a Debian Wheezy server, if it matters.

    I am thinking of purchasing the Dell I580-5108NBC, but I want to add 2 1TB SATA drives in a RAID5 config. The system only has a 300W power supply, and already has a 1TB drive and a DVD burner. Is the 300W power supply sufficient to support two additional drives, or should I upgrade it? Or, can I simply unplug the DVD burner?

  • Is it possible to view two files simultaneously in Geany?

    I tend to be a simple text editor user, but when I want IDE-like features, I've been using Geany. One thing I find bothersome about it, though, is I can see only one file at a time. Sometimes I want to edit a .cpp file while looking at a .hpp file (or two) without flipping back and forth trying to memorize code. (Of course the easy answer is to try a different IDE, but if I want to stick with geany for some good reason...then what?)
