    I have a loop that calculates the similarity between two documents. It collects all the tokens in a document and their scores, and places them in dictionary.     I am sure that someone familiar with HQL (I am myself a newbie) can easily answer this question. In my Grails application, I have the following domain class. class Book { org.joda.time.DateTime releaseDate //I use the PersistentDateTime for persisting via Hibernate (that use a DATETIME type for MySQL DB) } In my HQL query, I want to retrieve books whose release date is included in range date1..date2 For instance I tried: DateTime date1, date2 ... def queryStr = "select * from Book as b where b.releaseDate > $date1 and b.releaseDate < $date2" def res = Book.executeQuery(queryStr) But I got the exception ...caused by: org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateQueryException: unexpected token: The error token points to date format (for instance 2009-11-27T21:57:18.010+01:00 or Fri Nov 27 22:01:20 CET 2009) I have also tried to convert date1 into a Date class without success So what is the correct HQL code ? Should I convert to a specific format (which one?) using the patternForStyle method or is there another -cleaner- way to do it? Thanks, Fabien.

  • Cross platform unicode path handling

    I'm using boost::filesystem for cross-platform path manipulation, but this breaks down when calls need to be made down into interfaces I don't control that won't accept UTF-8. For example when using the Windows API, I need to convert to UTF-16, and then call the wide-string version of whatever function I was about to call, and then convert any output back to UTF-8. While the wpath, and other w* forms of many of the boost::filesystem functions help keep sanity, are there any suggestions for how best to handle this conversion to wide-string forms where needed, while maintaining consistency in my own code?

  • .net converting bytearray to double[]

    Hello, I am working with a database from a legacy app which stores 24 floating point values (doubles) as a byte array of length 192, so 8 bytes per value. This byte array is stored in a column of type image in a SQL Server 2005 database. In my .net app I need to read this byte array and convert it to a array of type Double[24]. I can access the field easy enough reader.GetBytes(...) but how to convert the returned ByteArray to Double[24] Any ideas? Thanks, AJ

    I am maintaining this servlet that has a HttpServletResponse response that replies back to the client an XML message. I want to take the XML message and convert it to JSON, then send the JSON back. I want to avoid writing my own JSON converter if possible. Does anyone have a good method of doing this? I googled for this: http://pvoss.wordpress.com/2009/02/26/servlet-filter-to-convert-xml-to-json/ , which is exactly what I want but they are using a hacked dom4j jar which doesn't help me.

  • .NET Regular expressions on bytes instead of chars

    Hi, I'm trying to do some parsing that will be easier using regular expressions. The input is an array (or enumeration) of bytes. I don't want to convert the bytes to chars for the following reasons: Computation efficiency Memory consumption efficiency Some non-printable bytes might be complex to convert to chars. Not all the bytes are printable. So I can't use Regex. The only solution I know, is using Boost.Regex (which works on bytes - C chars), but this is a C++ library that wrapping using C++/CLI will take considerable work. How can I use regular expressions on bytes in .NET directly, without working with .NET strings and chars? Thank you.

  • WPF Animate a Matrix using interpolation

    I'm having a issue with my application that is using touch gestures to scale, translate and rotate my scene. I was using a TransformGroup which contained TranslateTransform, ScaleTransform and a RotateTransform but I could not get the movement correct, it always jumps and skips, so I moved to a MaxtrixTransform which I was able to use much easier to get my scene to be zoomable, rotatable and panable nicely. However, what I later found out was that you cannot animate smoothly (using interpolation) the values of a Matrix, for what reason I have no idea, but its part of the MSDN doco and the properties of the Matrix are not dependency properties anyways... Has anyone had any luck animating a matrix to make it smooth? The only idea(s) I have had is to animate a few different, custom DP which all have callbacks that I update the matrix from OR To convert the matrix to a set of Transform objects that I then animate and then afterwords convert back. Is there a smarter way to do this?

    Hi All, I have been trying to call a C function that has the following signature int changeFoo(L_TCHAR* pszFileSrc){....} in my JNI call my method looks like this: JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_com_me_L_AFoo (JNIEnv * env, jclass jclass, jstring pSrc) { jint retValue = -100; retValue = changeFoo(pSrc); return retValue; } I get the following error in visual studio. Error 1 error C2664: 'L_FileConvert' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'jstring' to 'L_TCHAR *' c:\Ayusman\Work\MyVCpp\LTExampleDll\LTExampleDll\LTExampleMain.cpp 46 LTExampleDll When I looked at the definition of L_TCHAR * here is what I got in the header files (in that sequence): typedef TCHAR L_TCHAR; typedef WCHAR TCHAR,*PTCHAR; typedef wchar_t WCHAR; //wc, 16 bit UNICODE char I work on java, this is a JNI application that I am trying to build.   • How can I put double quotes inside a string within an ajax JSON response?

    I receive a JSON response in an Ajax request from the server. This way it works: { "a" = "1", "b" = "hello 'kitty'" } But I did not succeed in putting double quotes around kitty. When I convert " to \x22 in the Ajax response, it is still interpreted as " by JavaScript and I cannot parse the JSON. Should I also escape the \ and unescape later (which would be possible)? How to do this? Edit: I am not sure if i expressed it well: I want this string inside of "b" after the parse: hello "kitty" If necessary I could also add an additional step after the parse to convert "b", but I guess it is not necessary, there is a more elegant way so this happens automatically?

    Hi all, I'm using the function preg_replace but I cannot figure out how to make it work, the function just doesn't seem to work for me. What I'm trying to do is to convert a string into a link if any word contains the % (percentage) character. For instance if I have the string "go to %mysite", I'd like to convert the mysite word into a link. I tried the following... $data = "go to %mysite"; $result = preg_replace('/(^|[\s\.\,\:\;]+)%([A-Za-z0-9]{1,64})/e', '\\1%<a href=#>\\2</a>', $data); ...but it doesn't work.   • ImageMagick and Grails not working

    I'm trying to have ImageMagick run from grails to convert some images when I run the command to make an image nothing happens. I get no errors, no information returned nothing at all. I've tried running other commands like touch and ps ux just to see if they work and they all work fine. It just seems like the imagemagick commands are getting lost and I''m not sure what to do. Here is the code I've been working with. String command = CH.config.ImageMagickPath + "/convert -size 40x20 xc:red xc:blue -append -rotate 90 append_rotate.gif" println command command.execute() CH.config.ImageMagickPath is set up to where imagemagick/bin is. I've taken what is shown in println command and run it in a terminal and it works fine. Is there any reason why I can't get IM to work from grails?
