  • XSL ignores my whitespace even with the <xsl:text> tag

    I'm making a header in my XSL code that includes multiple fields of information, i.e. "Name: Bob Birthdate: January 1 1900," etc. I enclosed them in tags as such: <xsl:text> Gender: Male </xsl:text> But on the page, the whitespace around Gender/Male is being ignored. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

    I have set up a demo that has 5 floating <div>s with rotated text of varying length. I am wondering if there is a way to have a CSS class that can handle centering of all text regardless of length. At the moment I have to create a class for each length of characters in my stylesheet. This could get too messy. I have also noticed that the offsets get screwd up is I increase or decrease the size of the wrapping <div>. Well, I just noticed that this does not work in iOS...

    How do I encourage/make Latex typeset some portion of text so that it will all appear on a consecutive even-page, odd-page pair of pages? With trial and error, \nopagebreak can be coaxed into doing this, but is there a strategy that Just Works? Something like a samepage environment would be ideal, but one that: Will force a pagebreak on odd pages if that is needed to get all the text on facing pages; Allows up to one page break anywhere in the environment body, and fails noisily if that can't be ensured.

    I'm making a "sort elements" web game using jQuery, HTML & CSS. While everything works fine in FF, IE8, Opera, Chrome, I'm having problem with IE7 wrapping words inside block elements. Now when user clicks on a button called "Sin" the textbox should show "Sin[]" and the cursor has to be placed in between brackets.Like as follows "Sin[<cursor here]" Now when the user clicks on some other button say "Cos" the textbox text should show "Sin[Cos[]]" and the cursor has be placed between the brackets of Cos as follows: "Sin[Cos[<cursor here]]".
