• 302 Redirect Issue for Joomla 2.5.7 version site

  For my site i am using Joomla 2.5.7 version and FB comments tools for the articles in the site. i am getting the 302 redirect problem for the FB comments for the Articles to which i post. • What is the right approach to use adsense with responsive web design?

  Recently I was studying responsive design a lot and designed couple of sites. But i was wondering how would I use google adsense (which is pixel based) ads on my responsive design? Very typical example is suppose I have a 728x90 ads on header. Or if i do a mobile first approach i would need different versions of ad sizes for different view posts but google doesn't allow more than three ad unit per page (as far as i know). So, Question: What is the right approach/best practice of using google adsense on a responsive site design?

• SEO and multiple domains to same site

  I have one website. I have two domain names that I want to point to the same site install. So whether you go to name-one.com or name-two.com you see the exact same site. Now, I can either set up name-two.com to serve 301 redirect header redirecting to name-one.com – or, I can set up name-two.com as a CNAME in the DNS pointing to name-one.com What is the different implications for SEO on this? What is recommended? I would guess it's better for branding to use a 301 redirect, so that visitors will see one consistent url for my site, right? The reason I want the two domains is that I want a version with regional letters ('ö' instead of 'oe' ) in the name.

  I recently installed Ubuntu onto an encrypted partition using the LUKS+LVM combination that the 'alternate' installer offers. Now I want to create backups of my HD. From the LUKS FAQ: 6.15 Can I clone a LUKS container? You can, but it breaks security, because the cloned container has the same header and hence the same master key. You cannot change the master key on a LUKS container, even if you change the passphrase(s), the master key stays the same. That means whoever has access to one of the clones can decrypt them all, completely bypassing the passphrases. How can the existence of a perfect clone of my encrypted HD break security if it contains the exact same information as my live encrypted HD? In which sense does keeping updated clones of my LUKS-encrypted HD around "break security"?

  Possible Duplicate: How do I fix a “Problem with MergeList” error when trying to do an update? I've been having trouble with my Software Center. Whenever I try to open it, or even do an apt-get in the terminal I get this message: Reading package lists... Error! I tried it with the rewrite rules, but I can't get it working, because I don't know how to get the part xxx from the SERVER_NAME into my RewriteRule.   I upgraded from Ubuntu 13.04 to Ubuntu 13.10. The printer configurations were transferred correctly. I have an USB laser printer, which still works if I connect my laptop directly. Usually I used this printer by wlan or bluetooth, where an old laptop works as server (cups 1.3.X). If I now want to print some pdf or postscript file, one or the other way I only obtain a header printed, not the content of the file. Curiously the Ubuntu 13.10 test page is printed correctly.

• 12.04 Server- No Such Partition After Adding HDD

  12.04 server installed. Physically added a 1TB drive to system and I'm now getting: GRUB loading. error: no such partition. grub rescue> Any thoughts/suggestions? Mark EDIT: Once I create a partition on the new drive (with GParted from LiveCD), I get a blinking cursor at boot and nothing else. EDIT: Unplugged first drive and tried to install on 2nd (1TB v. 120GB). When creating partition I get Incorrect metadata area header checksum in virtual console(f4)

  I'm looking for a forum that meets these requirements: Login using Facebook/Twitter/OpenID etc. User profiles with reward system Voting/thumbs up function Categories and tags for sorting threads Custom category pages with moderated static header Embeddable threads and categories (For example, a whole category or single thread can be integrated into wordpress) API to users, discussions etc. I've looked at forums like Vanilla, Disqus, OSQA etc, but none seem to match the above "hybrid criteria".   Hello everybody! With Natty coming out soon, I've been at work updating my deployment and self-config script to make my desktop on 11.04 run and look the way I want it to. One bummer is that dbus seems to have changed and does not permit, in the same manner Lucid and Maverick did, the authentication of the current user by terminal call using grep and cat. Ideally, to run the script, I would sudo -s and then launch it as # chmod +x install && ./install Instead of returning my user name.. it now returns root and applies changes to the root profile and aborts whenever paths do not correspond. • How do I configure multiple domain names on my IIS server? [closed]

  We have a few websites that we are running on one instance of IIS that need to be mapped for each of their domain names. For example. Site A has the domain name coolness.com Site B has the domain name 6to8Weeks.com Site C has the domain name PhatTech.com When I look at the "Web Site Identification" section of the IIS configuration window, I notice that I can specify an IP address and port, but if I click the Advanced button, I can also configure the site based on host header values as well. How do I configure each site in IIS? Ideally I would like them to all be able to listen to port 80, so I don't have weird URLs, but I'm not sure if I do this using headers, IP addresses, both, or something else.

  Yesterday before i sleep, i check my site index. i get about 50 index on google. today morning when i wake up, i get 250 index on google. and my page ranking better on several keyword. than i add 1 page and 2 canonical link, add 404 page header, and resubmit sitemap. and after 2 hour, its going down to 50 index again. and my page ranking just rolled back to previous day. what is actually happen? is it because i resubmit sitemap? until now, google still crawl my website. do they try to refresh the index?

  I'm working on an old vb6/access2003 app which is used to handle orders, bills of materials and that sort of things. I'm thinking about creating a form that I call every time the users needs to search for something. This should work like these: Click on the field to complete, let's say name of a buyer Open new form, search for the client and click on it Return the name of the buyer to the previous form (probably the header of the order) So, I would need to pass to the new form something that identify the type of search I have to do (so what access table to open) and return some values. Is my idea correct or there something better? I would like to use only one form for all the searches, now the app works with a lot of msflexgrid for every form.

I have www.urlA.com/index.php as the following <?php header('Location: http://www.urlB.com/'); ?> But, when I use this forwarding method, the tracking javascript in www.urlB.com cannot recognize where the visitors are from. • Assemble static site from templates? (don't want to reinvent the wheel)

  I have a site that is 100% static content (no php, just some javascript). There's several "blocks" like the header, menu, footer, etc. that are the same on each page. Rather than do a lot of copy/pasting, I was thinking of some kind of template system where I could run a CLI command (in php, perl, python, shell, whatever) and have it replace all the block tags with the actual block text. I did see some answers in this question, but those seem oriented towards "we provide the style and layout, you provide the text". In my case, I have everything as far as layout, css, etc. - just want to do a glorified sed. Before I invent the wheel, I was wondering if there was a tool out there already.

• Particles are not moving correctly [closed]

  I want to make a particle explosion, after something gets destroyed, but somehow only one line of mixed colors show up on the screen. PS: "Uint32 delta" is needed to update the pixels based on time. PSS: Maybe I should add that it's programmed in C and includes SDL. EDIT: Found the problem. It was the "drawParticles" function. The problem was, that I passed a double to "offset" (as particles[i].x, etc are all doubles). So I ended up with values like ~MAX_INT because I didn't cast the doubles properly to ints.

• Installing driver for Ralink Realtek 8187 WiFi adapter

  I purchased a WiFi adapter online, and it came with an installation CD with drivers. I installed it just fine on Windows, and am now trying on Ubuntu 10.10. The CD came with the driver files for Linux as well, but I have no idea why they aren't working - my guess is that I don't properly understand what to do with them. I have uploaded the contents of the folder which came with the CD here. There is a README in there, but the instructions under the installation header didn't get me anywhere unfortunately.   I want to build a list from maillog, maillog.x containing something like Date, Sender's email, Recipient's Email and subject of the message filtering output emails and output domain. I've read about importing from spreadsheet program a cvs file. The issue is I have to add field separators in log file. I couldn't find how to customize that. How can I do that, the list and the separator?
