    I have a field varchar(14) = 20090226115644 I need convert it to - 2009-02-26 11:56:44 (datetime format) My idea. use cast and convert.. but I allways have errors. Conversion failed when converting datetime from character string. I made this, but don`t like it..     I have a table with 5 string columns, all can be NULLs. After I read the data from this table, I want to convert any null values into empty strings. The reason is that I need to compare these columns with columns in another table of the same schema (using conditional split), and null values would cause the comparison to evaluate to NULL. Is there any functionality in SSIS that allows me to convert NULL's to empty strings, or just not having to deal with NULL's at all?

I know this is the time since the Equinox, I am just not sure how to convert this to a MYSQL format.

The code only seems to process the first file in the directory then it gives me this: opening file: dd00000112_28_2010142011-1.html employee ID: 9871 employee Date: 12/31/2010 Warning: readdir(): 3 is not a valid Directory resource in /var/www/html/pay.mistequaygroup.com/payroll.php on line 29 The '3' in the error really confuses me, and google is not helping much. Could it be the 3rd iteration of the loop? The only files in the directory reddir() is scanning are the .html files waiting to be processed. Any ideas? Also, how does my code look? I'm fairly new to doing any real programming and I don't get too much input around work.

    Hi everyone, this is my question: I'm migrating data from a Btrieve file (.dat) through Pervasive Control Center and there is field type which is defined as integer but is a date and for example the date '31/12/2009' (seen in the legacy system) is view it as the number 733772 when I export it. The legacy system shows the date correctly but I can't export it in the same format or at least I can't convert it. Does anybody know how to convert this number through Excel or something?

    It is actually useful for me to store some files in EXE to copy to selected location. I'm generating HTML and JS files and need to copy some CSS, JS and GIFs. Snippet System.IO.File.WriteAllBytes(@"C:\MyFile.bin", ProjectNamespace.Properties.Resources.MyFile); doesn't work for me! On "WriteAllBytes" it says: "cannot convert from 'System.Drawing.Bitmap' to 'byte[]'" for image and "cannot convert from 'string' to 'byte[]'" for text file. Help!

That is drawing with AND, OR, etc However i am storing colors using floats, each channel between 0 and 1.0 Do i have to first convert each color channel to 0-255 before i can use the AND, OR, etc drawing modes? and then convert back to float (0.0-1.0) ?     Why does left(FIELD, replace(nullif(charindex('-', FIELD), 0), null, len(FIELD))) always return null? The idea behind the query is that if charindex() returns 0, then convert the results into null, then convert the null into the length of the field. So if '-' does not exist, show the whole string. For some reason it makes every row equal null. Thank you.
