  • Reading Web 2.0 HTML Source Code with Perl

    - by Sammy
Is it possible to read HTML Web 2.0 Source Code that is dynamically generated ? The Perl LWP with its agent-response does not pick up any dynamically generated HTML code. Many websites today are generating dynamic html. If I am shoppping for best prices, and the prices are dynamically fetched and dumped, then I am out of business. Are we reaching the end of a era?

  • Reading serialised object from file

    - by nico
Hi everyone. I'm writing a little Java program (it's an ImageJ plugin, but the problem is not specifically ImageJ related) and I have some problem, most probably due to the fact that I never really programmed in Java before... So, I have a Vector of Vectors and I'm trying to save it to a file and read it. The variable is defined as: Vector <Vector <myROI> > ROIs = new Vector <Vector <myROI> >(); where myROI is a class that I previously defined. Now, to write the vector to a file I use: void saveROIs() { SaveDialog save = new SaveDialog("Save ROIs...", imp.getTitle(), ".xroi"); String name = save.getFileName(); if (name == null) return; String dir = save.getDirectory(); try { FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(dir+name); ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(fos); oos.writeObject(ROIs); oos.close(); } catch (Exception e) { IJ.log(e.toString()); } } This correctly generates a binary file containing (I suppose) the object ROIs. Now, I use a very similar code to read the file: void loadROIs() { OpenDialog open = new OpenDialog("Load ROIs...", imp.getTitle(), ".xroi"); String name = open.getFileName(); if (name == null) return; String dir = open.getDirectory(); try { FileInputStream fin = new FileInputStream(dir+name); ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(fin); ROIs = (Vector <Vector <myROI> >) ois.readObject(); // This gives error ois.close(); } catch (Exception e) { IJ.log(e.toString()); } } But this function does not work. First, I get a warning: warning: [unchecked] unchecked cast found : java.lang.Object required: java.util.Vector<java.util.Vector<myROI>> ROIs = (Vector <Vector <myROI> >) ois.readObject(); ^ I Googled for that and see that I can suppress by prepending @SuppressWarnings("unchecked"), but this just makes things worst, as I get an error: <identifier> expected ROIs = (Vector <Vector <myROI> >) ois.readObject(); ^ In any case, if I omit @SuppressWarnings and ignore the warning, the object is not read and an exception is thrown java.io.WriteAbortedException: writing aborted; java.io.NotSerializableException: myROI Again Google tells me myROI needs to implements Serializable. I tried just adding implements Serializable to the class definition, but it is not sufficient. Can anyone give me some hints on how to procede in this case? Also, how to get rid of the typecast warning?

  • Drupal's not reading correct values from DB

    - by John
    Hey Everyone, Here is my current problem. I am working with the chat module and I'm building a module that notifies users via AJAX that they have been invited to a chat. The current table structure for the invites table looks like this: |-------------------------------------------------------------------------| | CCID | NID | INVITER_UID | INVITEE_UID | NOTIFIED | ACCEPTED | |-------------------------------------------------------------------------| | int | int | int | int | (0 or 1) | (0 or 1) | |-------------------------------------------------------------------------| I'm using the periodical updater plug-in for JQuery to continually poll the server to check for invites. When an invite is found, I set the notified from 0 to 1. However, my problem is the periodical updater. When I first see that there is an invite, I notify the user, and set notified to 1. On the next select though, I get the same results before, as if the update didn't work. But, when I got check the database, I can see that it worked just fine. It's as if the query is querying a cache, but I can't figure it out. My code for the periodical updater is as follows: window.onload = function() { var uid = $('a#chat_uid').html(); $.PeriodicalUpdater( '/steelylib/sites/all/modules/_chat_whos_online/ajax/ajax.php', //url to service { method: 'get', //send data via... data: {uid: uid}, //data to send minTimeout: '1000', //min time before server is polled (milli-sec.) maxTimeout: '20000', //max time before server is polled (milli-sec.) multiplyer: '1.5', //multiply against curretn poll time every time constant data is returned type: 'text', //type of data recieved (response type) maxCalls: 0, //max calls to make (0=unlimited) autoStop: 0 //max calls with constant data (0=unlimited/disabled) }, function(data) //callback function { alert( data ); //for now, until i get it working } ); } And my code for the ajax call is as follows: <?php #bootstrap Drupal, and call function, passing current user's uid. function _create_chat_node_check_invites($uid) { cache_clear_all('chatroom_chat_list', 'cache'); $query = "SELECT * FROM {chatroom_chat_invite} WHERE notified=0 AND invitee_uid=%d and accepted=0"; $query_results = db_query( $query, $uid ); $json = '{"invites":['; while( $row = db_fetch_object($query_results) ) { var_dump($row); global $base_url; $url = $base_url . '/content/privatechat' . $uid .'-' . $row->inviter_uid; $inviter = db_fetch_object( db_query( "SELECT name FROM {users} WHERE uid = %d", $row->inviter_uid ) ); $invitee = db_fetch_object( db_query( "SELECT name FROM {users} WHERE uid = %d", $row->invitee_uid ) ); #reset table $query = "UPDATE {chatroom_chat_invite} " ."SET notified=1 " ."WHERE inviter_uid=%d AND invitee_uid=%d"; db_query( $query, $row->inviter_uid, $row->invitee_uid ); $json .= '['; $json .= '"' . $url . '",'; $json .= '"' . ($inviter->name) . '",'; $json .= '"' . ($invitee->name) . '"' ; $json .= '],'; } $json = substr($json, 0, -1); $json .= ']}'; return $json; } ?> I can't figure out what is going wrong, any help is greatly appreciated!

  • How to enable reading non-ascii characters in Servlets

    - by Daziplqa
How to make the servlet accept non-ascii (Arabian, chines, etc) characters passed from JSPs? I've tried to add the following to top of JSPs: <%@page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8" pageEncoding="UTF-8"%> And to add the following in each post/get method in the servlet: request.setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8"); response.setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8"); I've tried to add a Filter that executes the above two statements instead of in the servlet. To be quite honest, these was working in the past, but now it doesn't work anymore. I am using tomcat 5.0.28/6.x.x on JDK1.6 on both Win & Linux boxes.

  • Reading three words and sorting them in lexicographic order

    - by Derrick
I am trying to create a program that asks the User to type three words and sort them in lexicographic order. EXAMPLE; Enter three words separated by spaces: Pear Orange Apple Apple Orange Pear The program is working fine (if I attempt the above example) except for one type of combination example that I will show below. EXAMPLE; Enter three words separated by spaces: Orange Apple Pear Apple Pear Pear The program is skipping the first word (Orange) if it is supposed to appear in the middle of the three words. I believe that this line of code is affecting the program because it says that "this assigned value is never used" but I'm not sure how to fix it since I'm still an entry Java learner. middle = firstWord; Because of that line being unused, it's why Pear appeared twice. import java.util.*; public static void main(String[] args) { Scanner wordInput = new Scanner(System.in); String firstWord; String secondWord; String thirdWord; System.out.println("Enter three words separated by spaces: "); firstWord = wordInput.next(); secondWord = wordInput.next(); thirdWord = wordInput.next(); String top = firstWord; String bottom = firstWord; if( top.compareTo(secondWord) > 0) { top = secondWord; } if( top.compareTo(thirdWord) > 0) { top = thirdWord; } if( bottom.compareTo(secondWord) < 0) { bottom = secondWord; } if( bottom.compareTo(thirdWord) < 0) { bottom = thirdWord; } String middle; if( !firstWord.equals(bottom) && !firstWord.equals(top) ) { middle = firstWord; } if( !secondWord.equals(bottom) && !secondWord.equals(top) ) { middle = secondWord; } else { middle = thirdWord; } System.out.println( top ); System.out.println( middle ); System.out.println( bottom ); } } Does anyone what I am missing or doing wrong? :( Please and thank you for any help!

  • Using memory mapping in C for reading binary

    - by user1320912
I am trying to read data from a binary file and process it.It is a very large file so I thought I would use memory mapping. I am trying to use memory mapping so I can read the file byte by byte. I am getting a few compiler errors while doing this. I am doing this on a linux platform #include <unistd.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <sys/mman.h> int fd; char *data; fd = open("data.bin", O_RDONLY); pagesize = 4000; data = mmap((caddr_t)0, pagesize, PROT_READ, MAP_SHARED, fd, pagesize); The errors i get are : caddr not initialized, R_RDONLY not initialized, mmap has too few arguments. Could someone help me out ?

  • Android Reading from an Input stream efficiently

    - by RenegadeAndy
Hey, I am making an HTTP get request to a website for an android application I am making. I am using a DefaultHttpClient and using HttpGet to issue the request. I get the entity response and from this obtain an InputStream object for getting the html of the page. I then cycle through the reply doing as follows: BufferedReader r = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inputStream)); String x = ""; x = r.readLine(); String total = ""; while(x!= null){ total += x; x = r.readLine(); } However this is horrendously slow. Is this inefficient? I'm not loading a big web page - www.cokezone.co.uk so the file size is not big. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks Andy

    - by Shantanu Gupta
I am trying to read a bmp file in C++(Turbo). But i m not able to print binary stream. I want to encode txt file into it and decrypt it. How can i do this. I read that bmp file header is of 54 byte. But how and where should i append txt file in bmp file. ? I know only Turbo C++, so it would be helpfull for me if u provide solution or suggestion related to topic for the same. int main() { ifstream fr; //reads ofstream fw; // wrrites to file char c; int random; clrscr(); char file[2][100]={"s.bmp","s.txt"}; fr.open(file[0],ios::binary);//file name, mode of open, here input mode i.e. read only if(!fr) cout<<"File can not be opened."; fw.open(file[1],ios::app);//file will be appended if(!fw) cout<<"File can not be opened"; while(!fr) cout<<fr.get(); // error should be here. but not able to find out what error is it fr.close(); fw.close(); getch(); } This code is running fine when i pass txt file in binary mode

  • Reading web-service information from assembly app.config file

    - by Benjamin Ortuzar
I have a plugin architecture solution written in .NET C# 3.5, where each plug-in is an assembly loaded by the main project. Each plug-in connects to a different web-service, so I would like to have the configuration of that plugin in its own plugin.dll.config file instead of having it in the app.config of the main project. I have been looking around and I saw that i could load from each class its own config file: // Get the application configuration file. System.Configuration.Configuration config = ConfigurationManager.OpenMappedExeConfiguration(fileMap,userLevel) I see how that would help me get the basic settings from the appSettings section, but I cant see a way to read the web-service information stored in the plugin.dll.config file. Any help on how to approach this situation is very welcome.

  • Reading data from database and binding them to custom ListView

    - by N.K.
I try to read data from a database i have made and to show some of the data in a row at a custom ListView. I can not understand what is my mistake. This is my code: public class EsodaMainActivity extends Activity { public static final String ROW_ID = "row_id"; //Intent extra key private ListView esodaListView; // the ListActivitys ListView private SimpleCursorAdapter esodaAdapter; // adapter for ListView DatabaseConnector databaseConnector = new DatabaseConnector(EsodaMainActivity.this); // called when the activity is first created @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_esoda_main); esodaListView = (ListView)findViewById(R.id.esodaList); esodaListView.setOnItemClickListener(viewEsodaListener); databaseConnector.open(); //Cursor cursor= databaseConnector.query("esoda", new String[] // {"name", "amount"}, null, null, null); Cursor cursor=databaseConnector.getAllEsoda(); startManagingCursor(cursor); // map each esoda to a TextView in the ListView layout // The desired columns to be bound String[] from = new String[] {"name","amount"}; // built an String array named "from" //The XML defined views which the data will be bound to int[] to = new int[] { R.id.esodaTextView, R.id.amountTextView}; // built an int array named "to" // EsodaMainActivity.this = The context in which the ListView is running // R.layout.esoda_list_item = Id of the layout that is used to display each item in ListView // null = // from = String array containing the column names to display // to = Int array containing the column names to display esodaAdapter = new SimpleCursorAdapter (this, R.layout.esoda_list_item, cursor, from, to); esodaListView.setAdapter(esodaAdapter); // set esodaView's adapter } // end of onCreate method @Override protected void onResume() { super.onResume(); // call super's onResume method // create new GetEsodaTask and execute it // GetEsodaTask is an AsyncTask object new GetEsodaTask().execute((Object[]) null); } // end of onResume method // onStop method is executed when the Activity is no longer visible to the user @Override protected void onStop() { Cursor cursor= esodaAdapter.getCursor(); // gets current cursor from esodaAdapter if (cursor != null) cursor.deactivate(); // deactivate cursor esodaAdapter.changeCursor(null); // adapter now has no cursor (removes the cursor from the CursorAdapter) super.onStop(); } // end of onStop method // this class performs db query outside the GUI private class GetEsodaTask extends AsyncTask<Object, Object, Cursor> { // we create a new DatabaseConnector obj // EsodaMainActivity.this = Context DatabaseConnector databaseConnector = new DatabaseConnector(EsodaMainActivity.this); // perform the db access @Override protected Cursor doInBackground(Object... params) { databaseConnector.open(); // get a cursor containing call esoda return databaseConnector.getAllEsoda(); // the cursor returned by getAllContacts() is passed to method onPostExecute() } // end of doInBackground method // here we use the cursor returned from the doInBackground() method @Override protected void onPostExecute(Cursor result) { esodaAdapter.changeCursor(result); // set the adapter's Cursor databaseConnector.close(); } // end of onPostExecute() method } // end of GetEsodaTask class // creates the Activity's menu from a menu resource XML file @Override public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) { super.onCreateOptionsMenu(menu); MenuInflater inflater = getMenuInflater(); inflater.inflate(R.menu.esoda_menu, menu); // inflates(eµf?s?) esodamainactivity_menu.xml to the Options menu return true; } // end of onCreateOptionsMenu() method //handles choice from options menu - is executed when the user touches a MenuItem @Override public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) { // creates a new Intent to launch the AddEditEsoda Activity // EsodaMainActivity.this = Context from which the Activity will be launched // AddEditEsoda.class = target Activity Intent addNewEsoda = new Intent(EsodaMainActivity.this, AddEditEsoda.class); startActivity(addNewEsoda); return super.onOptionsItemSelected(item); } // end of method onPtionsItemSelected() // event listener that responds to the user touching a esoda's name in the ListView OnItemClickListener viewEsodaListener = new OnItemClickListener() { @Override public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> arg0, View arg1, int arg2, long arg3) { // create an intent to launch the ViewEsoda Activity Intent viewEsoda = new Intent(EsodaMainActivity.this, ViewEsoda.class); // pass the selected esoda's row ID as an extra with the Intent viewEsoda.putExtra(ROW_ID, arg3); startActivity(viewEsoda); // start viewEsoda.class Activity } // end of onItemClick() method }; // end of viewEsodaListener } // end of EsodaMainActivity class The statement: Cursor cursor=databaseConnector.getAllEsoda(); queries all data (columns) From the data I want to show at my custom ListView 2 of them: "name" and "amount". But I still get a debugger error. Please help.

  • OleDB Jet - Float issues in reading excel data

    - by Patrick
When I read a sheet into a DataTable using the OleDbDataReader, floating point numbers loose their precision. I tried forcing OleDb to read the excel data as string, but although the data is now contained in a DataRow with each Column defined as System.String it looses precision (18.125 - 18.124962832). Any idea how to avoid this behaviour?

  • Reading into directory, unix shell script

    - by dubya
I am trying to analyze the files/directories inside of a directory using a shell script, for example if the file is readable, if it is a file, if it is a directory, etc. My script is set up to take a directory as input. so I would type 'file.sh directoryname'. However, when I create a for loop to analyze the files, it analyzes the files in my current working directory rather than the specified directory name. This is my broken code: file=$1 set mypath = $file for file in $mypath * do if [ -d $file ] dirCount=`expr $dirCount + 1` fi done Why does this read the working directory instead of the specified directory? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

  • Facebook social reading plugin for Wordpress?

    - by Alexey
As you know, a lot of bigger news websites have intorduced "social readers" for Facebook (e.g. https://apps.facebook.com/wpsocialreader/), which log what the user has read into the activity stream ("Michael read..."). Is it possible to integrate similar functionality into a Wordpress blog? Are the relevant API's open? Are there any plugins available? Thanks. UPD: http://trac.ahwebdev.fr/projects/facebook-awd The plugin seems to do the trick. Will have to try it out!

  • SQL Server problems reading columns with a foreign key

    - by illdev
I have a weird situation, where simple queries seem to never finish for instance SELECT top 100 ArticleID FROM Article WHERE ProductGroupID=379114 returns immediately SELECT top 1000 ArticleID FROM Article WHERE ProductGroupID=379114 never returns SELECT ArticleID FROM Article WHERE ProductGroupID=379114 never returns SELECT top 1000 ArticleID FROM Article returns immediately By 'returning' I mean 'in query analyzer the green check mark appears and it says "Query executed successfully"'. I sometimes get the rows painted to the grid in qa, but still the query goes on waiting for my client to time out - 'sometimes': SELECT ProductGroupID AS Product23_1_, ArticleID AS ArticleID1_, ArticleID AS ArticleID18_0_, Inventory_Name AS Inventory3_18_0_, Inventory_UnitOfMeasure AS Inventory4_18_0_, BusinessKey AS Business5_18_0_, Name AS Name18_0_, ServesPeople AS ServesPe7_18_0_, InStock AS InStock18_0_, Description AS Descript9_18_0_, Description2 AS Descrip10_18_0_, TechnicalData AS Technic11_18_0_, IsDiscontinued AS IsDisco12_18_0_, Release AS Release18_0_, Classifications AS Classif14_18_0_, DistributorName AS Distrib15_18_0_, DistributorProductCode AS Distrib16_18_0_, Options AS Options18_0_, IsPromoted AS IsPromoted18_0_, IsBulkyFreight AS IsBulky19_18_0_, IsBackOrderOnly AS IsBackO20_18_0_, Price AS Price18_0_, Weight AS Weight18_0_, ProductGroupID AS Product23_18_0_, ConversationID AS Convers24_18_0_, DistributorID AS Distrib25_18_0_, type AS Type18_0_ FROM Article AS articles0_ WHERE (IsDiscontinued = '0') AND (ProductGroupID = 379121) shows this behavior. I have no idea what is going on. Probably select is broken ;) I got a foreign key on ProductGroups ALTER TABLE [dbo].[Article] WITH CHECK ADD CONSTRAINT [FK_ProductGroup_Articles] FOREIGN KEY([ProductGroupID]) REFERENCES [dbo].[ProductGroup] ([ProductGroupID]) GO ALTER TABLE [dbo].[Article] CHECK CONSTRAINT [FK_ProductGroup_Articles] there are some 6000 rows and IsDiscontinued is a bit, not null, but leaving this condition out does not change the outcome. Anyone can tell me how to handle such a situation? More info, anyone? Additional Info: this does not seem to be restricted to this Foreign Key, but all/some referencing this entity.

  • Reading the Set-Cookie instructions in an HTTP Response header

    - by Eduardo León
Is there any standard means in PHP to read the Set-Cookie instructions in an HTTP Response header, without manually parsing it? More specifically, I want to read the value of the ASP.NET_SessionId cookie returned by an ASP.NET Web Service I am consuming. EDIT: I am consuming the Web Service using PHP's native SoapClient class. I can use the __getLastResponseHeaders() method to retrieve the whole of the HTTP response header returned by the Web Service: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Cache-Control: private, max-age=0 Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8 Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 Set-Cookie: ASP.NET_SessionId=ku501l55o300ik3sa2gu3vzj; path=/; HttpOnly X-AspNet-Version: 2.0.50727 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET Date: Tue, 11 Jan 2011 23:34:02 GMT Content-Length: 368 But I want to extract the value of the ASP.NET_SessionID cookie: ku501l55o300ik3sa2gu3vzj And, of course, I don't want to do it manually.

  • Reading in a 5000 line text file on the Iphone

    - by howsyourface
Gday, I am trying to create a tiled map for my game, i have had this previously working using other xml methods but i had memory leaks and all sorts of errors. However i had a map load time of about 2.5 - 3 seconds. So i rewrote all of the code using NSMutableStrings and NSStrings. After my best attempt at optomizing it i had a map load time of 10 - 11 seconds, which is far too slow. So i have now rewritten the code using char* arrays, only to now have a load time of 18 seconds -_-. Here is the latest code, i don't know much c so i could have easily botched the whole thing up. FILE* file = fopen(a, "r"); fseek(file, 0L, SEEK_END); length = ftell(file); fseek(file,0L, SEEK_SET); char fileText[length +1]; char buffer[1024];// = malloc(1024); while(fgets(buffer, 1024, file) != NULL) { strncat(fileText, buffer, strlen(buffer)); return index; } (I know it's a lot of code to be putting in here) I thought the by using basic char arrays i could drastically increase the performance, at least over the initial node based code that i was replacing. Thanks for all your efforts.

  • Flex 3 - Image flickers at first load

    - by BS_C3
Hello Community! I have an application with different components that are accessible through a viewstack in the main application. The main application looks like that: <Application> <Viewstack> <myComponent1/> <myComponent2/> <myComponent3/> . . . </Viewstack> </Application> In myComponent1, I have a horizontalList where the user can select a product. In myComponent2, I have 2 containers inside the component. A left container with a larger image of the product selected in myComponent1 and a right container with all characteristics of the product. Both containers have an embed background image. When I select a product in myComponent1, the application displays myComponent2. When the component is displayed, I first see the page without the large image of the product, then both containers flickers and the product image is displayed. How could I avoid this flickering? It's really annoying _< Thanks in advance for your help =) Regards. BS_C3

  • having trouble with jpa, looks to be reading from cache when told to ignore

    - by jeff
i'm using jpa and eclipselink. it says version 2.0.2.v20100323-r6872 for eclipselink. it's an SE application, small. local persistence unit. i am using a postgres database. i have some code the wakes up once per second and does a jpa query on a table. it's polling to see whether some fields on a given record change. but when i update a field in sql, it keeps showing the same value each time i query it. and this is after waiting, creating a new entitymanager, and giving a query hint. when i query the table from sql or python, i can see the changed field. but from within my jpa query, once i've read the value, it never changes in later executions of the query -- even though the entity manager has been recreated. i've tried telling it to not look in the cache. but it seems to ignore that. very puzzling, can you help please? here is the method. i call this once every 3 seconds. the tgt.getTrlDlrs() println shows me i get the same value for this field on every call of the method ("value won't change"). even if i change the field in the database. when i query the record from outside java, i see the change right away. also, if i stop the java program and restart it, i see the new value printed out immediately: public void exitChk(EntityManagerFactory emf, Main_1 mn){ // this will be a list of the trade close targets that are active List<Pairs01Tradeclosetgt> mn_res = new ArrayList<Pairs01Tradeclosetgt>(); //this is a list of the place number in the array list above //of positions to close ArrayList<Integer> idxsToCl = new ArrayList<Integer>(); EntityManager em = emf.createEntityManager(); em.getTransaction().begin(); em.clear(); String qryTxt = "SELECT p FROM Pairs01Tradeclosetgt p WHERE p.isClosed = :isClosed AND p.isFilled = :isFilled"; Query qMn = em.createQuery(qryTxt); qMn.setHint(QueryHints.CACHE_USAGE, CacheUsage.DoNotCheckCache); qMn.setParameter("isClosed", false); qMn.setParameter("isFilled", true); mn_res = (List<Pairs01Tradeclosetgt>) qMn.getResultList(); // are there any trade close targets we need to check for closing? if (mn_res!=null){ //if yes, see whether they've hit their target for (int i=0;i<mn_res.size();i++){ Pairs01Tradeclosetgt tgt = new Pairs01Tradeclosetgt(); tgt = mn_res.get(i); System.out.println("value won't change:" + tgt.getTrlDlrs()); here is my entity class (partial): @Entity @Table(name = "pairs01_tradeclosetgt", catalog = "blah", schema = "public") @NamedQueries({ @NamedQuery(name = "Pairs01Tradeclosetgt.findAll", query = "SELECT p FROM Pairs01Tradeclosetgt p"), @NamedQuery(name = "Pairs01Tradeclosetgt.findByClseRatio", query = "SELECT p FROM Pairs01Tradeclosetgt p WHERE p.clseRatio = :clseRatio")}) public class Pairs01Tradeclosetgt implements Serializable { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; @Id @Basic(optional = false) @Column(name = "id") @SequenceGenerator(name="pairs01_tradeclosetgt_id_seq", allocationSize=1) @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.SEQUENCE, generator = "pairs01_tradeclosetgt_id_seq") private Integer id; and my persitence unit: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <persistence version="1.0" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_1_0.xsd"> <persistence-unit name="testpu" transaction-type="RESOURCE_LOCAL"> <provider>org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.PersistenceProvider</provider> <class>mourv02.Pairs01Quotes</class> <class>mourv02.Pairs01Pair</class> <class>mourv02.Pairs01Trderrs</class> <class>mourv02.Pairs01Tradereq</class> <class>mourv02.Pairs01Tradeclosetgt</class> <class>mourv02.Pairs01Orderstatus</class> <properties> <property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.url" value="jdbc:postgresql://192.168.1.80:5432/blah"/> <property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.password" value="secret"/> <property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.driver" value="org.postgresql.Driver"/> <property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.user" value="noone"/> </properties> </persistence-unit> </persistence>
