• Javascript function works in FF, Opera etc, fails in IE8 - how to fix

  I have the following function (worked in IE6 but is broken in IE8) function implode() { var str = ''; for(item in globvars) //<- IE8 wets itself here ... str+= '\n' + globvars[item]+';'; return str+'\n'; } It seems an innocuous little function, but IE8 dosent grok it. Can anyone show me how to rewrite this so it work in IE8 (as well as the other browsers)?

• Is there a straight forward way to append one PDF doc to another using iTextSharp?

  I've scoured the Web looking for examples on how to do this. I've found a few that seem to be a little more involved then they need to be. So my question is, using iTextSharp, is there a fairly concise way to append one PDF document to another one? Optimally this would NOT involve a third file. Just open the first PDF doc, append the second PDF doc to the first and then close them both.

  I'm a little out of date, before HTML4 and javascript got AJAXy. Does anyone have opinions about the best tools for web site design? I'd rather avoid ASP and .NET, since I've got a limited budget. This seems like a good time to start fresh. Please keep the replies on the coding recommendations, as I already know how to register a domain name, redirect it, set up Apache. (I could use some opinions on the various Apache flavors)

  I am using json touch to get some data from my server database and everything works fine but I've got a little problem. I have some images stored as longblob in the db and I can't download them to my iphone app. All I get is a 'null' array. Does anyone know why this is happening???

Based on a condition, I want to continue processing (including running the server-side event code after the jQuery code), or, perform a redirect. I'm not quite sure how to go about this. • Web based printing from a Django application?

  Is there any recent developments in web based printing? I know using @media print in CSS, PDF based solution or iTextSharp but they are not really easy (except @media print) but alignment is little tricky if receipt contains barcodes or if I have to format for A5 etc., Is there anything new in HTML5 which will support this?   I did some research on Google but I couldn't find any HTML5 browser for Windows Mobile 6. The main resource I'm looking for in HTML5 is WebDatabase and/or localStorage. With a little research I found Iris (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-iris-browser.html), a Webkit based browser with some HTML5 features, but localStorage and Web Database doesn't work on it. Does anyone know any browser with storage capability for Windows Mobile 6?

Looking at user stories specifically the high level format seems to be: As a User I can Feature Description or Artifact is Doing Something How would I write "Upgrade the Database"? Is it simply Upgrade the Database? I think I am being thrown off as there is no specific actor/customer and that the customer is the IT department.

  Hey there, I'm currently working on an app which displays a bunch of files in a table, and you can add and remove them and whatsoever. To prevent duplicates in the table, I'd like to create a NSDictionary using the files full path as keys for another NSDictionary which contains all the file information, but I am a little concerned about the maximum key length of NSDictionary, and also whether this solution would be performance killer or not... • Does anyone here uses PHP-GTK? Is there a better alternative?

  I had made some questions regarding php-gtk(there are only 4 php-gtk tagged questions and 3 are mine) and I end up answering myself because no one answer them. I know is a strange language selection but I was attracted to it because it runs on several OS's and the fact that I can reuse some of my code (also the apps end up looking good and I can make little installers in NSIS that just rocks).   Hi!:) In my extension, when a button named "mybutton1" in the popup.html is clicked, it sends a message "getvar1" to the contentscript.js, then the contentscript.js sends a message "i want var1" to the background.html to get an object named "var1".If the button named "mybutton2" is clicked, the contentscript.js gets the "var2" object. How should i do under this condition? What's more, i am a little confused about the chrome.extension.onRequest.addListener method and chrome.extension.sendRequest method.Could someone tell me the mechanism of the two methods? Thanks!
