  • PHP: Iterate through folders and display HTML contents

    Hi, I’m currently trying to develop a method to get a overview of all my different web templates I’ve created and (legally) downloaded over the years. I thought about a displaying them like Wordpress is previewing it’s templates view a small preview windows, displaying the concrete file with styles and everything. How to divide them into rows and columns and create AJAX modal window open on preview and pagination and so on I believe I can manage, but it is the concept itself about iterate over several folders then find all index.htm / index.html pages and displaying them. I’ve not worked very much with directories in PHP and the only references and code stumps I’ve found so far is just to list all the files in a certain directory like, what it contains. I would be really grateful if someone knew about a script, a function, snippet or just could get me a nudge in the right direction to create such a (probably simple) preview function.     When I use jQuery for a simple click event it only works for links.   • passing multiple queries to view with codeigniter

    I am trying to build a forum with Codeigniter. So far i have the forums themselves displayed and the threads displayed, based on the creating dynamic news tutorial. But that is 2 different pages, i need to obviously display them into one page, like this: Forum 1 - thread 1 - thread 2 - thread 3 Forum 2 - thread 1 - thread 2 etc. And then the next step is obviously to display all the posts in a thread. Most likely with some pagination going on. But that is for later.   • Insert hex string value to sql server image field is appending extra 0

    Have an image field and want to insert into this from a hex string: insert into imageTable(imageField) values(convert(image, 0x3C3F78...)) however when I run select the value is return with an extra 0 as 0x03C3F78... This extra 0 is causing a problem in another application, I dont want it. How to stop the extra 0 being added? The schema is: CREATE TABLE [dbo].[templates]( [templateId] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [templateName] [nvarchar](50) NOT NULL, [templateBody] [image] NOT NULL, [templateType] [int] NULL) and the query is: insert into templates(templateName, templateBody, templateType) values('I love stackoverflow', convert(image, 0x3C3F786D6C2076657273696F6E3D.......), 2) the actual hex string is quite large to post here.

  • How can I copy an XmlNode from one XmlDocument to another?

    I'm building a tool that authors/edits XML files, and I want to be able to populate it with template fragments defined in another XML file. For example, the tool has an "Add FooBarBaz Element" button that adds a element to the new document being created, and I want to add FooBarBaz by copying it from a template. Or let's say this is my template file: <Templates> <FooBarBaz Attribute="Value"> <ChildElement/> </FooBarBaz> </Templates> I can then grab a template fragment with .GetElementsByTagName("FooBarBaz"), and I'd like to be able to inject it into the new document with something like .AppendChild(templateNode). But the problem is that an XmlNode cannot be copied from one XmlDocument to another, even if you use .Clone() or .CloneNode(), because AppendChild() throws an exception saying that the template element belongs to another context. Is there an easy way to copy a System.Xml.XmlNode between System.Xml.XmlDocuments?

    Her's what I want: A listbox whose items consist of a stackpanel with two textblocks. The textblocks need to support wrapping, the listbox should not expand, and there should be no horizontal scrollbar. Here's the code I have so far. The textblocks seem to be slightly larger than the listbox, causing the horizontal scrollbar to appear. This is strange because their widths are bound to the lisbox's ActualWidth. Also, if you add a few more items to the listbox (just cut and paste in XamlPad) causing the vertical scrollbar to appear, the width of the textblocks do not resize to the vertical scrollbar. How do I keep the textblocks inside the listbox, with or without the vertical scrollbar?

  • Ruby w/ Postgres & Sinatra - Query won't order right with parameter??

    So I set a variable in my main ruby file that's handling all my post and get requests and then use ERB templates to actually show the pages. I pass the database handler itself into the erb templates, and then run a query in the template to get all (for this example) grants. In my main ruby file: grants_main_order = "id_num" get '/grants' do erb :grants, :locals => {:db=>db, :order=>grants_main_order, :message=>params[:message]} end In the erb template: db = locals[:db] getGrants = db.exec("SELECT * FROM grants ORDER BY $1", [locals[:order]]) This produces some very random ordering, however if I replace the $1 with id_num, it works as it should. Is this a typing issue? How can I fix this? Using string replacement with #{locals[:order]} also gives funky results.

I would like to display a table of templates and the number of projects they're used in. So, the result should be: templateID projectCount 1 3 2 1 3 1 4 0 5 1 6 0 I've tried all kinds of SQL queries using various JOINs, but I guess this is too complicated for me. Is it possible to get this result using a single SQL statement?

  • Database Schema Versioning Strategies

    I work on a project that uses a reasonably large database, the live version weighing in at somewhere around 60-80GB. The live database is the only real definitive source of our schema, and because of its size duplicating this database is too slow to be done often. This means we have ended up developing our database schema in a pretty ad hoc way, using sql compare to migrate changes from dev dbs to the live system, and only wiping our dev dbs every month or two. I am hoping to get some pointers on how to improve our database development work flow so that we have a little more control. Some things to think about: Currently nobody is really in charge of the database schema, all developers can change it if they need to, though generally these decisions are talked about before they are done. There are stored procedures, functions, and views in the database. These should probably be dumped to files so they can be reloaded on every build. Schema changes should probably be checked in as scripts. We have started to do this recently. However all our scripts must then be numbered (because there may be dependencies between them), and must be re runnable (because our build script currently runs them all in order). This makes them hard to read because they are full of conditionals that check whether tables or columns already exist. This is a step that is often forgotten by developers. Getting a new database should be quick and easy. This is currently a big problem, it takes several hours to get a copy of last nights backup and restore it onto a dev machine. Some mechanism needs to be in place to allow developers to update static data. We have tables that contain data that is never updated through the application, but does potentially need to be changed when we do a new release (often this drives dropdowns). The whole thing needs to be runnable as part of a build script. Are there any tools that can be used to help to do this? Eventually I would like to be at a point where a new DB can be built from scratch without copying any data from the live system. I don't mind writing some scripts to glue all the steps together but each part should be easily editable so that we continue to use it rather than make changes directly on DBs.

    I have a SVG file that I want to extend by adding onclick handlers to edges and nodes. I also want to add a script tag referring to a JavaScript. The problem is that the script tag gets an empty namespace attribute added to it. I haven't found any information regarding this that I understand. Why does XSLT add an empty namespace?     Hey guys, I'd like to simulate a flag in an xslt script. The idea is for template foo to set a flag (or a counter variable, or anything), so that it can be accessed from template bar. Bar isn't called from foo, but from a common parent template (otherwise I would pass a parameter to it). Here's my current setting : MEDIA_ROOT = os.path.normpath( '/home/budzyk/rails/fandrive/site_media/' ) templates setting work on the other hand : TEMPLATE_DIRS = ( "/home/budzyk/rails/fandrive/templates", ) Catalog with media files is ../fandrive/site-media/ so why it's not working ?     Hello, I am developing a web application and want to allow user to select theme for his/her personalization. I want to know from where can i find free css theme templates? By theme i mean, same css templates and it should have same css class names referenced in css file, because then only i can load the css file and the whole look and feel gets changed in webpage. If the class names in css files are different then it's not easy. Only thing that should change is images and background color etc. But the layout and css classes should remain same.     I have an application where in I am trying to create a velocity template repository which will help me centralise all my email templates and will allow me to create a communication hub. All templates will be called at runtime and populates with data via services. My problem is that I need to provide users with optional and compulsory params list when they define the template inputs for the velocity template. Is there a way to read the tokens/tags from the velocity template file and extract them?? Like I want a list of tokens $name.address.streetName to be available to me from .vm file. I do not want to go for Regex . I do not have to cache or reuse them , its just going to be a one time read and store the default,compulsory & optional params in the database.   • AppEngine and Django: including a template file

    As the title suggests, I'm using Google App Engine and Django. I have quite a bit of identical code across my templates and would like to reduce this by including template files. So, in my main application directory I have the python handler file, the main template, and the template I want to include in my main template. I would have thought that including {% include "fileToInclude.html" %} would work on its own but that simply doesn't include anything. I assume I have to set something up, maybe using TEMPLATE_DIRS, but can't figure it out on my own. EDIT: I've tried: TEMPLATE_DIRS = (os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__), 'templates'), ) But to no avail. I'll try some other possibilities too.

  • How do you install cocos2d-iphone on the Mac?

    There are no good instructions for installing cocos2d for iPhone on the mac. I downloaded the current build from git, a folder called "cocos2d-iphone-0.99.1". i put this folder in /Developer/Libary. Q: is this right? I tried running the file called "install_template.sh". it said the templates were already installed. Instead, I manually dragged the templates folders where they belong, and they ~do~ appear in the XCode's "New Project" dialog. When I create a new cocos2d project, I see all these red links for project files, instead of the regular black links. When I try to open them in the finder, nothing happens. I can tell that something is not linked. Can someone please help walk me through this? Thanks!

    I have a requirement to launch .dot files (ms word templates) as new documents from the browser... Let me explain... if you click on a .dot file in Windows Explorer it opens a new document and runs any macros... you can right click and edit the template... I want to link to the files, so I use <a href="file://myserver/templates/letter.dot">Letter</a>... However this then prompts for the "Download File" dialogue box... and then if I click "Open" it opens the template in edit mode... not the required new document mode... This may be a technical impossibility but can I achieve the desired result in ActiveX or something??
