• Client-Side script to upload attachments to the Sharepoint 2007 list

  Hello. I have no good script-writing experience. So, I have a list created on MOSS 2007 with about 1000 elements and attachments enabled. I need to attach to each list item file (*.jpg) from a local folder. • WPF ItemsViewSource Sorting

  Greetings, I have a problem with sorting ItemsViewSource in WPF. The problem is as follows: My application has a listbox with items, there is a possibility to add new items to this listbox. I have ItemsViewSource which is binded to ListBox ItemsSource - by default some sortDescription is applied (by name) so when new item is added to the listbox it is automatically added to appopriate position in ListBox. I also have a ToggleButton named "No sorting" and what I would like to achieve - when this butt is pressed and new item is added to listbox, the item will be included in the first position in ListBox and additionally previous sorting will be preserved. I can achieve the functionality of adding new item to first position on the list by calling _ItemsViewSource.SortDescriptions.Clear(); but then my previous sorting is not preserved. How can I achieve this and preserve previous sorting? Thanks in advance.

  My scenario is this: I have a base NHibernate query to run of the form (I've coded it using DetachedCriteria , but describe it here using SQL syntax): SELECT * FROM Items I INNER JOIN SubItems S on S.FK = I.Key The user interface to show the results of this join allows the user to specify additional criteria: Say: I.SomeField = 'UserValue'. Now, I need the final load command to be: SELECT * FROM Items I INNER JOIN SubItems S on S.FK = I.Key WHERE I.SomeField = 'UserValue' My problem is: I've created a DetachedCriteria with the 'static' aspect of the query (the top join) and the UI creates a DetachedCriteria with the 'dynamic' component of the query. I need to combine the two into a final query that I can execute on the NHibernate session. DefaultCriteria.Add() takes an ICriterion (which are created using the Expression class, and maybe other classes I don't know of which could be the solution to my problem). Does anyone know how I might do what I want?

• WPF MenuItem ViewModel Command

  Hi, I am fairly new to WPF and am struggling a little with a scenario. I have a menu which has menu items. When one of these menu items gets clicked a method needs to be called that will do something based upon the text displayed associated with that menu item. So for example, the menu item's content was "test" so I would need to do something with "test". FYI, this "something" directly affects a collection on the ViewModel. This is easy to achieve using the click event and no ViewModel, but I was trying to implement MVVM using an explicit ViewModel. So I started to look into Commands but cannot see how I would pass anything from the View back into the Command in the ViewModel. Any suggestions on what I should be doing here? Thanks

• Why is WPFToolkit DataGrid so slow when binding?

  I have a very simple test application where I have two objects, each with a small collection of items. when I select an object I display its collection in a WPFToolkit DataGrid. The problem is there is a noticeable delay, such that if you press up/down keys to toggle selection between objects you can see it can't keep up. How can I get a reference to this ComboBox into my ValueConverter. Or, alternately, why is what I'm doing silly and overly complicated. I'm as guilty as many of sometimes getting it into my head that something has to be done a certain way and then killing myself to make it happen when there's a much cleaner and simpler solution.

Why CanExecute? Shouldn't it always? I only want to run packer.Run when the buttom is clicked. I think I should implement ICommand but I am not even sure I should do this? I'd like to show that item (along its image), and a link to "see all items from this collection". Let's say we have following example: ICollection<int> col = new List<int>() { /* fill with items */ }; IList<int> list = new List<int>() { /* fill with items */ }; col.ElementAt(10000000); list.ElementAt(10000000); Is there any difference in execution? or does ElementAt recognize that col also implements IList< although it's only declared as ICollection<?   It seems that the reporting idiom is that a report consist of a single list of items, with some additional data (parameters). Are there ways to include several unrelated lists in a report, or would this go against the idiom to such an extent that a different tool should rather be used to generate the output? Suppose, for instance, you have a list of Persons that lives in a Building, with names, phone numbers and so on. This list would be the main datasource. Additionally, on the same report you want to show various other information about that Building, such as address, number of floors and so on. The number of items in this information might vary between Buildings, so that you cannot simply put it into static parameters, but would need a map or a list. This is of course a contrieved example, but should serve to illustrate the problem. In short: can you use several unrelated lists in a report?

During PerformAction, I would add more items to _messageQueue. However, the foreach loop quits after the initial item and does not see the subsequent items added. I sense that somehow the initial state of the queue is being captured by yield. Can someone explain what is happening and give a solution?

  hi, I have a simple UserControl containing a ComboBox which is empty at first. The setter for that CB adds items to it and the getter returns the selected item. When adding this UC to a Form, the designer automatically calls the getter for the CB which is empty. The method to fill up the CB with items is called later. I can think of one or two ways to bypass this problem by "messing around" in the code. But before I start that I'd like to ask you if there is a way to stop the designer from calling the getter method. Maybe with a attribute similar to Browsable or Bindable? thx

• C# GridView dynamically built columns with textboxes ontextchanged

  My page is a bulk order form that has many products and various size options. I've got a gridview that has a 3 static columns with labels. There are then some dynamically built columns. Each of the dynamically built columns have a textbox in them. The textbox is for quantity. Trying to either update the server with the quantity entered each time a textbox is changed (possibly ontextchanged event) or loop though each of the rows column by column and gather all the items that have a quantity and process those items and their quantities all at once (via button onclick). If I put the process that builds the GridView behind a if(!Page.IsPostBack) then the when a textchanged event fires the gridview only gets the static fields and the dynamic ones are gone. If I remove the if(!Page.IsPostBack) the process to gather and build the page is too heavy on processing and takes too long to render the page again. Some advice would be appreciated. Thanks

• Convert 2 bytes to a number

  I have a control that has a byte array in it. Every now and then there are two bytes that tell me some info about number of future items in the array. So as an example I could have: ... ... Item [4] = 7 Item [5] = 0 ... ... The value of this is clearly 7. But what about this? ... ... Item [4] = 0 Item [5] = 7 ... ... Any idea on what that equates to (as an normal int)? I went to binary and thought it may be 11100000000 which equals 1792. But I don't know if that is how it really works (ie does it use the whole 8 items for the byte). Is there any way to know this with out testing? Note: I am using C# 3.0 and visual studio 2008

I have this regex: ((?<=[<])([A-Z]|[_])+(?=[>]))|(\\[.\\]) But this returns square bracket items within the parenthesis.
