  • What Implementation of Forth to use for Learning Forth

    I want to start learning Forth (like in this related article). I see that there are many implementations. I would like to use a ANS 1994 compatible version (if reasonable, but sticking to the standard might be good) small and compact implementation, I don't want a full OS. Windows easy to use, I am new to Forth ;-) Can anybody recommend any particular implementation?

    I've read that you can't parse HTML with regular expressions because HTML is not a regular language. I tried searching Wikipedia, but I didn't understand a word of what the various related articles said. Can someone explain, in simpler terms, what's a regular (or non-regular) language, and why non-regular languages can't be parsed with regexes?

    Im trying to implement button which opens app store application from my app. I use this simple line of code, which opens safari but not app store application. [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString: @"http://itunes.apple.com/sk/app/tweetie-2/id333903271?mt=8"]]; I dont know whats wrong, is the URL format correct? I was following this document. All related questions in stackoverflow are outofdate I suppose.

  • Using AWT components inside a JInnerFrame (for JDesktopPane)

    Hello, is there a way to hack bugs related to adding an AWT component (in my case a PApplet, so a processing language sketch) inside a JInternalFrame? It works but not as intended, since it flickers and dragging the frame causes repaint issues.. reading around it seems that, althrough it's possible to mix heavyweight (AWT) and lightweight (Swing) components some problems seem to be unavoidable.. is it true? Thanks!

  • which collaborative tools do you use to communicate between team members [closed]

    I work for a small company and would like to set up some sort of a collaborative tool so that team members can share thoughts, upload documents...something like sharepoint maybe, but not that suffisticated. Only good option I've seen so far is joomla CMS. Just want to get an opinion of the community on which tools they have used for these purposes.     Hi, Is it better to have a field status enum('active', 'hidden', 'deleted') OR status tinyint(3) with a lookup table. Assume that status can take only one value at a time. In particular, I am interested in knowing, are operations on enum significantly slower than or as fast as operations on int ?   • Cannot access android.R.drawable.timepicker_input

    Hello there i'm trying to write a layout similar to the timepicker widget layout. So i decided to use the android framework layouts but i can't use them It seems that if i write android.R.drawable.timepicker_input or other timepicker related drawables i get them this Eclipse error: android.R.drawable.timepicker_up_btn cannot be resolved So i tried to import all the pngs and xml from the android source but eclipse says there is an error in the manifest regarding the icon. Ideas?
