• How can I turn the structure of an XML file into a folder structure using ANT

  I would like to be able to pass an XML file to an ANT build script and have it create a folder structure mimicking the nodal structure of the XML, using the build files parent directory as the root. For Example using: <root> <folder1> <folder1-1/> </folder1> <folder2/> <folder3> <folder3-1/> </folder3> </root> ant would create: folder1 -folder1-1 folder2 folder3 -folder3-1 I know how to create a directory, but i'm not sure how to have ANT parse the XML.

  I have avoided working with fetchxml as I have been unsure the best way to handle the result data after calling crmService.Fetch(fetchXml).   Hello, I am trying to validate Elements and Attributes exist in an XElement. Basically, I was wondering if anyone had a generic way to check if a give path is null. I don't have access to System.Xml.XPath (doing this for compact framework). Basically what I have is: <root value"1000"> <element1>test<element1> <element2>1<element2> .... <element30> <subElement1>stuff</subElement1> </element30> </root> Now I know you can "if this is null do this and that". But since there is upwards of 30 elements that can be under root, which are optional elements, I need a way to grab the value if it exists and convert it to the correct type (which I know) in a nice compact way. Any suggestions?

  Hi, I see tool like SN which generates private/public key pair for signing an assembly. and using AL tool we can assign a strong name to an assembly And we have also Sign tool which is used for signing the assembly (probably for using with certificates exclusively?). What is the exact difference between the two?. Is it sign tool have to be used when working with certificates and can it we acheive it SN?. or are they totally different.? Please help.

Now there are some sites that inherits permissions from their parent site and some site has their own permission module. Now a user from owner group of root site browses site collection but there are few site which doesn't allow user to view the content of it. Now what I want is general recommendation on when creating a new site in SharePoint what is best possible approach to set site permission. In what case we can inherits permissions from parent site..? In what case we can we us unique permission for a site..? If a site has unique permission set then is it possible to creat a group at root level which has access to all site collection irrespective of site permission model?   In Windows 2003 it was simple to do and one could use the winhttpcertcfg.exe (download) to give "NETWORK SERVICE" account access to a certificate. I'm now using Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5 and I am unable to find where and how to set permissions access permissions to a certificate in the certificate store. This Post showed how to do it in Vista and that winhttpcertcfg features were added into the certificates mmc however it doesn't seem to work with imported certificates or doesn't work anymore on Server 2008 R2. So does anyone have any idea on how give IIS 7.5 the correct permissions to read a certificate from the certificate store? And also what account from IIS 7.5 that needs the permission.

I have seen numerous tutorials on using self signed CAs. How would you do this using a third party? 1) Do I need to include the CA in the client pfx if it is a trusted root CA? I have seen both examples.   Let's say i have 3 smtp appenders in same log4net file whose names are: <appender name = "emailDevelopment".. /> <appender name = "emailBeta".. /> <appender name = "emailProduction".. /> Let's say i have 3 different servers(Dev, Beta, Production). Depending upon the server, i want to fire the log. In case of Development server, it would fire log from "emailDevelopment". I have a system variable in each server named "ApplicationEnvironment" whose value is Development, Beta, Production based on the server names. 'The form template is trying to access files and settings on your computer. InfoPath cannot grant access to these files and settings because the form template is not fully trusted. • Cant access log files in production.

  I was trying to run my application and check for some output on the production.log. However Rails throws this error. Apache log Rails Error: Unable to access log file. Please ensure that /var/www/somefolder/someapp/log/production.log exists and is chmod 0666. The log level has been raised to WARN and the output directed to STDERR until the problem is fixed. I have performed the necessary chmod 666 production.log to make it work but I realized that the file is under root access. So my file permissions are -rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 20845 2010-03-18 01:18 production.log Im not sure how to allow Rails to access this file. Im fairly new to managing linux production env so I request you to excuse my ignorance.

  I have some xml that I want to process using xslt. A good amount of the data comes through in key value pairs (see below). I am struggling with how to extract the value base on the key into a variable. I would like to be able to do something like this: <xsl:variable name="foo" select="/root/entry[key = 'foo']/value"/> but that doesn't seem to work. Here is sample xml. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <root> <entry> <key> foo </key> <value> bar </value> </entry> </root> What would the correct xpath be for this?

• ResolveURL not resolving in a user control

  I'm trying to use ResolveUrl() to set some paths in the code behind of a custom ASP.NET user control. The user control contains a navigation menu. I'm loading it on a page that's loading a master page. When I call ResolveUrl("~") in my user control it returns "~" instead of the root of the site. When I call it in a page I get the root path as expected. I've stepped through with the debugger and confirmed, ResolveUrl("~") returns "~" in my user control code behind. Is there some other way I should be calling the function in my user control code behind to get the root path of the site?

• Specifying path in a preference file in Unison

  I am using Unison to sync a folder on my local computer with one on a server. I am using a unison preference file for this. If I specify the path of the local folder using Method 1 (see below) things work well. But Method 2 does not work. I would like to use something like Method 2 because I want to use the same preference file (synced using Dropbox) on two different computers. But the usernames are different on these two computers and I cannot change the usernames. Any ideas how this can be achieved? Thank you.   Hi Can anyone please help me with this? I have a Windows 2008 server and MVC 2.0 site is hosted under IIS 7.0 root directory. The site works fine. I want to use the BlogEngine.NET with my site. For example if my mite name is http:// mysite.com (which is the root of IIS) and the blog should be http://mysite.com/blog/Default.aspx Is this possible? Can I create a sub virtual directory within my root (where the MVC 2 app is hosted) and run the ASP.NET BlogEngine.Net in it? Any ideas appreciated.

When i basically expand the configuration settings tree node. I see the "Foo" node, however the textbox is empty. This is the same for both text node, Until i actually click on the child node. I've looked tried every form of update / etc. Does anyone have any ideas?
