• changing src reference based upon https

  I'm adding a facebook comment widget to a website. I'm placing this widget in a file that is included on everypage. The navigation is relatively linked so it switches back and forth from http and https. But for some reason the comment widget only shows up if both the src linked file and webpage is secure or both the src linked file and webpage is NOT secure. The widget does not display of the src file is secure and the webpage is not secure. So... • Where do I change the height of a navigationBar for an iPhone app?

  In my applicationDidFinishLaunching I set up a UINavigationController: - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application { navController = [[UINavigationController alloc] init]; [[navController navigationBar] setFrame:CGRectMake(0.0,0.0,320.0,20.0)]; ... } As you can see, I am trying to make the navigation controller's height 20px. However, this is not working. I would imagine setFrame must be the correct function but I am not calling it in the right place. I realize that other questions on SO are similar to mine, but I think setting the navigationBar height should be possible if it responds to setFrame...right? Also, anyone know the default height of the navigationBar? Thanks!

• UINavigationController crashes after pushing 3 views onto stack

  I have a navigation controller, which has the following structure: Category Item Item Detail I can choose a category, and then choose an item to see its details. I can do this twice, i.e. go Back to the list of items and select another item. If i try this a third time, the app crashes, I get objc_msgSend in stack but thats all. But, instead of choosing another item, i go to the list of categories, and choose a different category, I can select two items in that category, before it crashes also. What would be causing this? • Building PHP For MacOS

  I was using XAMPP and decided to uninstall it and use MacOS' in-built apache and php modules. But while uninstalling XAMPP I deleted /usr/bin/php files and other PHP-CLI files accidentally. And I decided to install newest version of PHP (5.5.12) instead of rebuilding current version (5.4.24). Downloaded it and unzip. After this executed this command as mentioned at this guide. ./configure '--with-apxs2=/usr/sbin/apxs' '--enable-cli' '--with-config-file-path=/etc' '--with-zlib=/usr' '--enable-bcmath' '--with-bz2=/usr' '--enable-calendar' '--disable-cgi' '--with-curl=/usr' '--enable-dba' '--enable-ndbm=/usr' '--enable-exif' '--enable-fpm' '--enable-ftp' '--with-gd' '--enable-gd-native-ttf' '--enable-mbregex' '--with-mysql=mysqlnd' '--with-mysqli=mysqlnd' '--with-pear' '--with-pdo-mysql=mysqlnd' '--with-mysql-sock=/var/mysql/mysql.sock' '--with-tidy' '--enable-wddx' '--with-xmlrpc' '--enable-zip' make make install When i check phpinfo() , it's still version 5.4.24 . This line from my httpd.conf LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so /usr/libexec/apache2/libphp5.so coming from old version and i couldn't ind libphp5.so for new version. There is no libphp5.so file inside modules dir. How can i use new PHP build with Apache ? UPDATE Results of php -v command . • Flex 4.5 - to long build process

  We are developing an app using flex 4.5. The app runs just fine (no performance issues at all) but it takes us forever to compile and build it. A minor change, like just add a comment or press enter in an mxml file and rebuild takes about 3 minutes. You just cant work that way. It is a large project with about 1300 files. We also use Parsley as IOC container and a beat of cairngorm navigation. We also use Maven (Flex mojos) but I am talking about a normal eclipse build (Ctrl + B). We separated some of the code to a different SWC and all of our graphics are stored in a different resource SWF. Please, Do you have any suggestions? Regards, Ido

• Android: stack management for views in a tab?

  I see some answers here prefer views over activities as contents of tabs. Correct me if I am wrong. My understanding is that by switching out views, it's possible to keep the navigation flow inside a tab (more user friendly, I think). But I wonder how to manage the view stack then in case of the back button events. Also this could cause one giant Activity with large amount of views, which might not be good. So I wish to know why exactly views as contents is preferred before I change my current application to this. Thanks,

  I need to visualize some scientific calculations. I generally prefer reusing code if there is already a good available instead of inventing wheels each time, that's why I am asking. I need a C# code to draw charts (just outputting a bitmap is ok) of 2d (y=f(x)) and 3d (z=f(x,y)) digital data sets (where any axis can be float, int or datetime), sometimes combined. If I go here and click 3D in the navigation bar on the left, there I can see what I need. But the cheapest version costs $759 there, looks scary for a hobby project of an east-european student :-(

• IWebBrowser2: how to force links to open in new window?

  The MSDN documentation on WebBrowser Customization explains how to prevent new windows from being opened and how to cancel navigation. In my case, my application is hosting an IWebBrowser2 but I don't want the user to navigate to new pages within my app. Instead, I'd like to open all links in a new IE window. The desired behavior is: user clicks a link, and a new window opens with that URL. A similar question was asked and answered here and rather than pollute that answered post, it was suggested I open a new discussion. The members on the related post suggested I should be able to do this by trapping DISPID_BEFORENAVIGATE2, setting the cancel flag, and writing code to open a new window, but I've found out that the browser control gets lots of BeforeNavigate2 events that seem to be initiated by scripts on the main page. For example, amazon.com fires BeforeNavigate2 events like crazy, and they are not a result of link invocation. Replies appreciated!

• How to place caption (figure / table) into margin?

  I write thesis and need to put a lot of small pictures into it. I also need to use captions (with labels) for better navigation and referring to these pictures. In the same time I want to spare space and put captions beside (next to) pictures, in margin, like marginpar does. I tried sidecap package but it didn't work, neither mcaption package did help. Maybe using a minipage would solve it, but I would like also to align caption to the middle (vertical align) of picture. Any suggestions?

  I think I've found the cause: Document Info window in IB has a warning: "'Selected Navigation Controller (Second)' has nib name property set to 'SecondView.nib', but this view controller is not intended to have its view set in this manner." Bummer. I've built nib in Interface Builder that has UITabBarController at top level and switches between UINavigationControllers. It works fine when everything is in a single nib file, but I'd like to use separate nib files for UINavigationControllers. Starting with Apple's TabBar template, if I just change class of SecondView to UINavigationController, it all breaks: and all I get is this: Is it possible to have separate file for UINavigationController without programmatically setting everything? I would like TabBarController to handle loading and unloading of nibs.

• Where should I put some code for loading application data?

  I have a tab-bar and navigation controller application (like Youtube app or Contacts app). Where is the correct place to have the code for loading some data from the web? These data are necessary for all the tabs of the Tab Controller and the app can't display anything before all data are downloaded and parsed from the app (except a loading indicator view of course). Up to now I put it in the AppDelegate but it somehow doesn't feel right.. What's the correct way to do it? Thanks!

• Exception if there is IBOutlet in view controller created by initWithNibName

  When I create a Navigation-based application, the second view controller is created with initWithNibName, if I add a label onto the second view and connect it with IBOutlet in the second view controller. After I navigate to the second view by clicking table cell, and then back to the root view, the application aborts - send message retainCount to a freed object. I know this is caused by the IBOutlet label, which is retained, set nil in viewDidUnload and dealloc in dealloc. But I don't know why, and if I wanna still use IBOutlet, what can I do? Not dealloc it in viewcontroller's dealloc? Anybody could help? Thank you.

• IntelliJ doesn't seem to pickup certain sbt libraries, no code completion

  I am using sbt console in my terminal to compile my scala/play project. I am using intellij to edit my source code, basically using it just for getting some code completion and navigation etc. For some reason certain libraries don't seem to load correctly. For example, I added elastic search to my Dependancies.scala file, reloaded sbt and everything compiles fine but for some reason IntelliJ doesn't pickup the jars correctly i.e. they are in red and there is no syntax completion. How can I fix this? I tried shutting intellij down and restarting it but the problem remains. I am using Intelli 13.1.3 (ultimate)

• Can you control pinterest's "find image" results?

  Rather than add Pin It buttons through our site, I would like to simply control what images show up in Pinterest's "Find Image" results if a user decides to pin one of our URLs. As of now, "Find Images" allows the user to scroll through the images it finds on the page so they can select which image to pin. The "found" images start with the first jpg in the html file, I'm assuming (could that be a bad assumption??). On our site, this forces a user to scroll through about 15 navigation and promotion images before arriving at the featured product image. Is there any way to specify this image to show first in those results? Maybe through a meta tag, or by adding a class or id to the element? Without a public Pinterest API, this seems like just guesswork, but I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this, or solved this. Thanks.

  I can use some help with an AVAudioPlayer issue. My App is basically an interactive audio book. The RootViewController is a UITableView using a drill-down approach sitting on top of a Navigation Controller. The first level are the Chapters and the second level are the Topics. Each Topic goes to an audio file which plays in a SoundPlayerViewController utilizing AVAudioPlayer - standard stuff. If the user leaves the SoundPlayer to browse Chapters and Topics with the Back button(s), the audio continues playing - this is good. If the user selects a new Topic, the current audio file stops and the new audio file begins playing - this is good. What I have not been able to figure out is how to allow the user to go back to the current SoundPlayer so they can rewind, pause or whatever. This is not so good. Any help with an approach or pointing to some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

  (Assuming a WCF method called "MyFunction") Currently, to support canceling a WCF request, I'm using the BeginMyFunction/EndMyFunction methods generated by svcutil (and handling an isCanceled flag when dispatching the results to the main thread). I'd like to use the MyFunctionAsync method (and hooking into MyFunctionAsyncCompleted event instead) for async calls instead of Begin/End. What is the best/supported way to handle canceling WCF requests if using MyFunctionAsyncCompleted, and still ensuring that the event doesn't get fired on a page that's no longer loaded (i.e. page navigation within a frame).   I am running a dedicated server with multiple websites. I have created a global directory for common scripts for all websites, rather than repeating them in every website directory. How can I make this global directory accessible for all website. I am getting following error. Warning: require_once() [function.require-once]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is XXXX is not allowed to access /vhosts/globallibrary/Zend/Application.php owned by uid XXXX I have change the ownership of global directory for X website. so it works fine for X website. latter I added another website Y Now I am getting the same error again. If I change the CHOWN for Y website then X website will have the same error. I don't want to disable the safemode restriction. Is there a work around, so that this global dir will be accessible by all website. I am getting following error in my browser when I try to access global directory. Global directory is on same level as all other websites. Is this a good practice to enable safemode for websites?

  I want to make a TableView of phrases which the user can edit. The "Phrase editor" is being displayed modally. My top left is for the Done button right now. I'm considering making a button at the end of the table for "new phrase". How would I implement that? Is it a good idea to follow the "contacts" application and make a + button in the top right, or Should I make the "Add Items" button at the end of the list? What are HIG implications of either one? BONUS: Where can I find some tutorials on Navigation Controllers and Table Views? Thanks a ton.

• Google map blank when used with master page

  I wrote a google map lookup page. Everthing worked fine until I referenced the page to use a master page. I removed the form tag from the master page as the search button on the map page is a submit button. Everything else on my page appears but the google map div appears with map navigation controls and logo but no map visuals appear. I retested with the previous, non master page version and the map appears correctly. Any thoughts on what I'm missing?
