• Eclipse Helios on OS X Snow Leopard crashes frequently when editing certain PHP files

  I use Eclipse Helios (Eclipse Platform: 3.6.0.I20100608-0911, Eclipse IDE for PHP Developers: 1.3.0.20100617-0520) all the time on OS X (Snow Leopard), and it seems I only run into trouble whenever I'm editing a PHP file that's part of the WordPress blogging framework. When I move my cursor to a variable or function name, that often triggers the beach ball of death. I suspect Eclipse is trying to look up that variable/function and for some reason that causes an endless loop. Sometimes it's not just variables or functions. Just today I was trying to replace all occurrences of a quoted string. Every time I clicked "Replace All", the program would freeze immediately after the string was replaced and the text cursor was moved to the replaced position. I think the moving of the text cursor is important, because I got the same result when I searched for the string (thus moving the cursor), but NOT when I searched for a nonexistent string. I tried disabling everything in my preferences related to marked occurrences, hovering, code assistance, etc. Nothing helps. I use Eclipse for all my projects, and I find that it's only WordPress projects where this happens. This value will be overwritten using the values from the preferences I did some experimenting with the particular script that's giving me trouble. It's a hybrid of HTML and PHP, so Eclipse has to do both HTML and PHP validation. I wondered if the HTML validation had something to do with it, so I created a new file, copied the contents over, and messed with the doctype element. I found that if I replaced the well-formed XHTML 1.0 Strict doctype element with a generic doctype (as such: <!DOCTYPE html>), then I did not crash the program just by moving the cursor around. I set all HTML validation rules to "Ignore", but it still didn't solve my problems. For now, I'm just going to echo the doctype using PHP instead of entering it literally. That seems to prevent crashes. I notice that when I move the cursor around the document, Eclipse displays the "xpath" to my current location at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes there's a delay while it figures out my current path. Perhaps when it's validating against the Strict doctype, it has problems quickly calculating the xpath as I move the cursor around? Maybe it has a stack overflow that causes it to crash.

  It seems like whenever I try to add a UL inside of the containers when using jQuery UI - Tabs, it breaks the javascript. Is there a way I can use a UL inside of these containers that I am missing? • IIS7 FTP Setup - An error occured during the authentication process. 530 End Login failed

  I'm having a problem very similar to IIS 7.5 FTP IIS Manager Users Login Fail (530) on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. I have created an FTP site and IIS Manager user but am having trouble logging in. I could really do with getting this working with the IIS Manager user rather than by creating a new system user since I'm fairly restricted with those accounts. Here is the output when connecting locally through command prompt: C:\Windows\system32>ftp localhost Connected to MYSERVER. 220 Microsoft FTP Service User (MYSERVER:(none)): MyFtpLogin 331 Password required for MyFtpLogin. Password: *** 530-User cannot log in. Win32 error: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Error details: An error occured during the authentication process. 530 End Login failed. I have followed the guide to configure ftp with iis manager authentication in iis 7 and Adding FTP Publishing to a Web Site in IIS 7 Things I have done and checked: The FTP Service is installed (along with FTP Extensibility). • Last parameter of last command in bash in vi-mode

  I have been convinced (over at stackoverflow) to use my beloved bash in vi mode. So far I got used to it quite well and I like it. However I really do miss one feature: In emacs-mode, you can enter the last parameter of the previous command by pressing "ESC ." (That is, press escape followed by the .) Is there a default binding to insert the last parameter in vi-mode? I wasn't able to find one and I really miss this command... Thanks a lot

• Configuration of Sonicwall Load Balancing

  We installed a Sonicwall NSA 240 appliance and have configured it up for our SSL VPN connection and for load balancing with 2 ADSL lines. Over the past week, I have been testing the load balancing options to optimize the connection speeds for our users - but I've run into the following: Round Robin load balancing is the ideal load balancing setting and it's roughly doubling our throughput- but, when it's active users are unable to access any SSL enabled websites such as banking, web-mail, etc. For this reason, I have been using percentage based balancing as it allows me to enable source and destination IP binding, which doesn't 'break' any secure connections but were left with the slow connection speeds we had before adding the second line. I'm looking for a method in which we can take advantage of the round robin connection speeds while allowing users to access sites with SSL certificates, all while still allowing our remote (vpn) users to connect. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

• Slight delay when switching modes in vim using tmux or screen

  Switching to and from insert mode in Vim is no longer instantaneous since I use tmux. After pressing Esc in insert mode, it takes a noticeable amount of time to actually get out of insert mode. After pressing Esc and any other key afterwards the switch is immediate, and the command for the key pressed after Esc is executed. Any idea what might cause this? The Vim configuration is not the problem as the delay does not occur when I run Vim outside tmux, so this is probably related to tmux somehow. I use gnome-terminal btw. Also worth noting, it seems I can not define key bindings in tmux for Esc, my plan was to bind Esc to: bind Escape send-keys ^[ Alas, it seems binding anything to Esc for tmux does not work. The same problem occurs in screen as well.

• Using local proxy to specify used NIC on Windows 7?

  I'm running Windows 7 and have 2 NIC installed, both are connected to the Internet (nic#1 LTE, nic#2 DSL). Windows 7 will only allow me to specify a binding order and a metric on which interface to chose but i can't specify this on an application level. My Idea was to use a local proxy server and use the proxy server whenever i want to use nic#2. I tried wingate and free proxy, both applications will let me chose the interface i want to use but this setting seems to have no effect? • Configuring subdomains for a machine (Win2k8) in a lan

  I am currently setting up a windows 2008 server to host a website with multiple subdomains, all accessible only within the lan. also, there is no active directory. what I did is : 1 - computer name : 'web' 2 - in IIS, I added a site binding as 'site1.web' to the default web site 3 - added DNS role to the server 4 - added 'web' as principal zone in direct lookup zones (default options) 5 - added CNAME 'site1' From a client machine, in tcpip config I added the ip address of 'web' to the DNS list in addition to the ISP DNS. (client machine ip is from DHCP) Now browsing to 'http://web' or 'http://site1.web' works correctly. My question is, is it possible throught additional steps in the server to have the websites accessible without requiring the DNS config in all the client machines ? thanks in advance

• Where is IIS7 redirect occuring?

  I have a site that is set up in IIS7 and is working (although I don't understand how). The binding is www.mysite.fr on port 80. In the root of the site there are no files but several folders. The site loads fine but I don't understand how it is loading? If I go to https://www.mysite.fr/ it redirects to https://www.mysite.fr/fr/ which redirects back to https://www.mysite.fr/ So we end up in an endless loop which fails. Using fiddler it is a 301 redirect but I have no idea where this is set! I guess it might be in the website code but as I don't know which file is loaded first, I don't know where to look! Any ideas?? All other sites are working fine...

• Bad request - Invalid Hostname Error when using ARR IP address

  I'm trying to setup a simple ARR system. I have 1 ARR machine load balancing between 2 APP servers. I can reach the app sites if i use the server name of the ARR machine. (http://arrserver/app) But i can't do it with its IP address. (http://10.7.10.25/app). It gives the "Bad Request - Invalid Hostname". In the ARR machine i configured the default site's bindings to "All Unassigned","80" (default values). Do i need to change the binding rule or need additional url rewrite rules? And also, in the ARR server http://127.0.0.1/app doesn't work. But http://localhost/app works fine. Thx in advance

Is there anything I can do with the group? Specifically, is there a way to disable the whole group at once? If not, what can I do to disable individual commands? Looking at the help, I only see a few options: augroup! will delete the whole group: I don't think this is right since I will want to re-enable it again. (But maybe there's a way to easily redefine the group again?) :noautocmd will only disable the callbacks for a one-off invocation of a command.   In my IIS 7.5 hosted in a Windows Server 2008 R2 I have several websites with no DNS address assigned. Let's take for instance the site (as named in IIS) with site name mySite. I have for this site the standard binding with no host name. Suppose that my server IP address is, for instance, 101.22.23.01. Therefore it seems logic to me that in order to access the website, I should place in the address bar of my browser: [IP_address]/[sitename] in this case: 101.22.23.01/mySite but it does not work. Shall I specify something else in the bindings?

• Cannot connect to IIS 7 from localhost

  I cannot connect to the local IIS 7 using "http://localhost" in IE. "http://127.0.0.1" doesn't work either. The strange thing is that if I add a binding on e.g. port 81, then I can reach "http://localhost:81". Also turning off the firewall on the local machine doesn't help. The site is reachable from the internet. The local requests don't seem to hit IIS (no entries in the IIS log files). IIS is hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2 from behind a hardware firewall device. Note that I'm a programmer, not a network administrator, so I'm having a hard time trouble shooting this.

  Situation: I have a single windows 2008 server with a single public IP address. I have multiple domains with wildcard A records pointing to the single IP address. I need each domain to be hosted by a different web site. (i.e. www.domain1.com by site domain1site) I need domain1.com to act like www.domain1.com I need each site to be able to have multiple subdomains (i.e. www.domain1.com, abc.domain1.com, xyz.domain1.com) Not relevant yet here it goes, I plan to handle each subdomain by a different application hosted in the same site (i.e. application /xyz in domain1site) However I found out that IIS7 does not support creating web sites with wildcard host name binding and setting it without any subdomain (i.e. domain1.com) does not work, even for www.domain1.com. Is there a simple solution? Does any IIS Extension like Application Request Routing provide such capability?

• Right-aligning button in a grid with possibly no content - stretch grid to always fill the page

  Hello people, I am losing my patience with this. I am working on a Windows Phone 7 application and I can't figure out what layout manager to use to achieve the following: Basically, when I use a Grid as the layout root, I can't make the grid to stretch to the size of the phone application page. When the main content area is full, all is well and the button sits where I want it to sit. However, in case the page content is very short, the grid is only as wide as to accommodate its content and then the button (which I am desperate to keep near the right edge of the screen) moves away from the right edge. If I replace the grid and use a vertically oriented stack panel for the layout root, the button sits where I want it but then the content area is capable of growing beyond the bottom edge. So, when I place a listbox full of items into the main content area, it doesn't adjust its height to be completely in view, but the majority of items in that listbox are just rendered below the bottom edge of the display area. I have tried using a third-party DockPanel layout manager and then docked the button in it's top section and set the button's HorizontalAlignment="Right" but the result was the same as with the grid, it also shrinks in size when there isn't enough content in the content area (or when title is short). How do I do this then? ==EDIT== I tried WPCoder's XAML, only I replaced the dummy text box with what I would have in a real page (stackpanel) and placed a listbox into the ContentPanel grid. I noticed that what I had before and what WPCoder is suggesting is very similar. • Windows 2008 - Define IP Order by port or service

  I have a Windows 2008 server that has three IP bound to the NIC. I can select which IP Windows SMTP listens to, but I want to also set the IP address used when mail is sent. Where would I set which outbound IP to use when sending email? Without using real IPs, here is an example what I have setup. Three IPs associated with the server: 10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2 10.0.0.3 I setup the binding on 10.0.0.2 for port 25 in the SMTP server settings, so that it is the only IP that will respond for inbound. When I look at the email header from an email sent from that server, it lists the server with an address of 10.0.0.3. I would like it to use 10.0.0.2 so that when reverse DNS is performed, it maps back correctly.

• Fastest reliable way to open the terminal?

  I actually had my SUPER_L ( left windows key ) binded to gnome-terminal, but for whatever reason ever since upgrading to 9.04 Ubuntu from 8.10 Intrepid it seemed to break the key binding. It was very handy because I could throw open the terminal with one key ( sorry but alt-f2 and typing gnome-terminal isn't practical for me ). Or perhaps it reset all the keybindings? I remember using xev and some gui type interface that was akin to Win32 registry editor. Anyway, I'm curious as to what you guys use to open the terminal.
