  • MS Vista taking too long to identify Wi-Fi connection [closed]

    I with few of my flat-mates share internet connection by using ASL cable into one laptop and then making Adhoc private network so that we all can enjoy internet connectivity. It all worked wonderful few initial days, but now my MS vista is taking much time to identify that adhoc network and it though I am connected to my friend, it takes 5-10 minutes untill I use internet.

    Has anybody ever encountered this wrong ELF class error? The failure is provided in more detail below: [root@nocloud ~]# system-config-users Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/system-config-users/system-config-users.py", line 25, in ? import libuser ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/libusermodule.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 Can anybody tell me how I might possibly be able to fix this?   • Jenkins CI fails to initialise

    I've just installed Jenkins-CI on Ubuntu 11.10 as according to the instructions found here, However the service fails to start.   • Postfix removing domain from user names before passing to Dovecot for IMAP authentication

    In IMAP authentication with Dovecot, Postfix is stripping the domain name from virtual users who share a name with a local user, causing them to fail authentication. Virtual users without local accounts don't have this problem. How can I prevent this? Failing an answer, how can I debug Postfix to see what's going on? I've turned on every debugging option I can get, and I'm not seeing anything helpful in the logs.

    I have permission to attached a mailbox to my profile. This is a mailbox I share and manage with other people. When we send from this address, we would like to have the message show up in this mailbox's sent items folder. The current behavior is that the message goes to our primary account's sent items. I'm using Outlook 2007 but others are using Outlook 2003. This is in an Exchange 2007 environment.

Example: I have two files: 60933 blahblah.xls PZ 60933 blahblah.xls I would like to search only for the first one but Windows Search always returns two results. I have tried these but none of them seem to work: filename:60933 filename:^60933* filename:60933..xls My setup: Windows XP Pro CZ, Windows Search 4, files are located on indexed network share.

  • DFS - Stop sync of large folder that has since been removed

    We have a site to site DFSR on Windows Server 2008 R2 that has been running perfectly between site A to site B until someone dumped a 20GB folder. This has overwhelmed the upload and make the internet almost useless at site A (the upload is low at the branch office). We have removed this folder from the DFS share on site A, however the internet is still really slow. Is there any way to cancel this sync or other way to get DFSR back in to a happy state?

    Is it possible to "share" a VirtualBox snapshot? I have a "baseline" VirtualBox machine, and I would like to be able to take a snapshot, and send it to another user which has the same baseline machine. The scenario is that the baseline machine is used for testing, and I want to allow testers to create snapshots which describe a certain system state, and send that snapshot to developers to further examination. EDIT: To clarify, I would like to be able to export snapshots "incrementally" without having to export the entire machine as an appliance.

    I have umpteen backups trying to restore my scripts I had in the netlogon share but when I go to them the folder is empty. Does backup not back those scripts in netlogon up? Is there somewhere I should expect to see the files at besides c:\winnt\sysvol\sysvol\mydomain\scripts? Thank you for any help.

    I know that windows azure backup is designed to work with windows server, but I have a small client that runs a little windows 7 pro machine as a "server/file share" in their office and I want to set up a simple back-up for them. As I work with Azure in other ways with the client I would like to use azure for this solution as well. Will windows azure backup agent work with windows 7 pro?     I have little experience with Windows systems. Coming from a Linux background I was wondering if there is a way that I can ssh to powershell from a Linux shell? If this is not possible, is there a key exchange like way to connect from powershell to powershell? I prefer it if I do not need to enter a password for every single server every time.     We have DFS setup using the DFS Management Administrator Tool. I turned on replication in the Distributed File System Administrator Tool as well and this morning we lost tons of files from that share. Please explain to me why this was wrong and if there is anything that can be done to repair it. (No, we don't have backups. We have some shadow copies, but those were deleted as well. We have been using DFS as its own backup)

    is there a way to import windows mouse settings to ubuntu 10.04. I really love ubuntu but my laptop touchpad is driving me crazy. for e.g. I can not seem to drag the window frame properly etc... It is not a driver issue I know this for sure. I think I am accustomed to windows mouse settings. Please if you have a setting that works really well can you share it.
