• UITableView loading before variables being set

  I have a label on a UITableView. When clicked it will refresh my tableview and set the top cell's height. When I am setting the cell height, I am checking if a certain variable is TRUE. If true it will show the large height, if false, the smaller height. At the time of cell height creation, my variable is always false. It is a member variable and its value is being set when the user clicks on the label. How can I make sure that the variable is set before the table refreshes?

• Incorrect emacs indentation in a C++ class with DLL export specification

  I often write classes with a DLL export/import specification, but this seems to confuse emacs' syntax parser. I end up with something like: class myDllSpec Foo { public: Foo( void ); }; Notice that the "public:" access spec is indented incorrectly, as well as everything that follows it. When I ask emacs to describe the syntax at the beginning of the line containing public, I get a return of: ((label 352)) If I remove the myDllSpec, the indentation is correct, and emacs tells me that the syntax there is: ((inclass 352) (access-label 352)) Which seems correct and reasonable. So I conclude that the syntax parser is not able to handle the DLL export spec, and that this is what's causing my indentation trouble. Unfortunately, I don't know how to teach the parser about my labels. Seems that this is pretty common practice, so I'm hoping there's a way around it.

  This page in the Android documentation defines an element id as follows: <TextView android:id="@+id/label" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Type here:" /> However this page defines it as: <EditText id="text" xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:textColor="@color/opaque_red" android:text="Hello, World!" /> I thought I had a decent understanding of what was going on until I saw this second example. In the first case, you need the + character so that id 'label' is added to the R file, correct? In the second case, would the EditText's id not be added to the R file because it does not contain the + character? Also, the second example does not include the android namespace on the id. Does having or not having the Android namespace affect whether that id will be added to the R file? Thanks for any clarification.

  I have the Button defined as follows: <Button android:drawableTop="@drawable/ico" android:gravity="center" android:id="@+id/StartButton2x2" android:text="@string/Widget2x2StartBtnLabel" android:layout_width="0dip" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" android:background="@drawable/widgetbtn_bg" /> The problem is that 'drawableTop' image is aligned to the top border of the Button view. I would like to center it (together with text label) vertically on the button. 'android:gravity' seems to work only on text label. It does not affect 'drawableTop' positioning. I was able to center it vertically using 'android:paddingTop' - but that does not seem to be a good idea. I guess it would not work properly on different screen resolution/size.

• Read Text From Windows Form

  I would like, if for no other reason that an academic exercise, to be able to read text written to a form on a Windows Application. The program appears to be written in non-.NET, but in .NET terms, I think you would describe the program as having a Form with a Label and I would like to read the text from that label. I believe I can see that text being written to the screen with the User32!TextOut (and in other areas User32!DrawString) function. However, it would be nice if I didn't have to hook that function to get the information I'm looking for, but instead if I could just read it from the form directly. So, given a handle to a Window, is it possible to read the text that has been written to that window with functions like TextOut and DrawString using some similar API or other clever means? Or am I going about this the wrong way? Should I just hook the function and look for the text in every call and pray? Thanks!

• Autounattend.xml not being recognized in VirtualBox

  I am working my way through the steps on this page to prepare an unattended installation of Windows 7 Enterprise x64 for purposes of a college assignment which simply requires the process to be carried out and documented. Both the "technician" and "reference" computers are virtual machines created in VirtualBox 4.3.12, as will be the destination computer. I seem to have successfully completed Step 1, building an Autounattend.xml answer file using Windows System Image Manager, in as far as the answer file validates successfully. The problem arises when I try to install Windows on the reference machine from the DVD image in conjunction with the Autounattend file on a USB drive. I have tried a couple of different USB devices, and the devices themselves seem to be recognized, but the answer file does not, as instead of taking the configuration settings from the file the user interface appears as in a manual installation. Has anyone come across this problem or a solution?   Is there a better way to write the code below? I have quite a few blocks that are similar, and this is making the code in the Viewpage very messy to work with. The data value with the associated label only needs to be output when certain conditions are met, which is almost always if the value is not null. Currently I have a "locate me" app that displays your Latitude and Longitude. I want to use those variables to populate 2 of the blanks on a PHP web page/form I have developed. I have added a label and button to my current app, when the button is pressed the URL with the Lat and Long (as passed vars) are displayed in the label. I want those vars to appear on my web page. Is there a jquery plugin that will make the images clickable? Fancy-form looks like something I could use, but it isn't jquery and I've already got jquery in my project. Or can someone point me to a better way of selecting a single image?

• WPF: Template Binding in Control template

  I have the following control template. I wish to set the source property for the image control in the control template using Template Binding. But since this is a control template for button control and the button control doesn't have source property, i can't use TemplateBinding in this case. <ControlTemplate x:Key="BtnTemplate" TargetType="Button"> <Border CornerRadius="5" Margin="15" Cursor="Hand"> <StackPanel> <Image Name="Img" Style="{StaticResource ImageStyle}" Source="temp.jpg" Height="100" Width="100" Margin="5"></Image> <Label Content="{TemplateBinding Content}" Background="Transparent" Margin="2"></Label> </StackPanel> </Border> </ControlTemplate> Since i have to set different images for different instances of button, i can't hardcode the path as well. Please let me know how to tackle this situation.
