• Keeping DB Table sorted using multi-field formula (Microsoft SQL Server)

  I have a JOB table, with two interesting columns: Creation Date Importance (high - 3, medium 2, low - 1). A JOB record's priority calculated like this: Priority = Importance * (time passed since creation) The problem is, every time I would like to pick 200 jobs with highest priority, and I don't want to resort the table. Is there a way to keep rows sorted? I was also thinking about having three tables one for High, Medium and Low and then sort those by Creation Date.

I want to clean up only old failed builds, is there anyway to do that in TeamCity? Normal clean-up policy only allows X days before the last successful build sort of clean ups.

  Hi I would like to zip a bunch of files (.exe and .dll) before I overwrite them with the new build. Is there a simple way to zip files without using some sort of dll? Just creating a folder with the build number / date time stamp will also work great. How do I pass parameters from the cruise control build process into my Powershell script that will do the work then? Is this a sustainable way to do things? Thanks

  I am using the jQuery sortable() feature to re-order a list of items. After an item is drug to a new location, I kick off an AJAX form post to the server to save the new order. How can I undo the sort (e.g. return the drug item to its original position in the list) if I receive an error message from the server? Basically, I only want the re-order to "stick" if the server confirms that the changes were saved.

  Has anyone been able to verify that the iPad cannot create an ad hoc network? It has different radio hardware (the fact that it does 802.11n demonstrates this) than the iPhones, which I thought was the reason that the iPhones could not create WiFi networks.   I'm trying to declare a method for my program that takes only a 5 digit integer and for each digit of the integer, reads a value from the program and prints it out. I understand this isn't very clear but im having trouble relaying what I mean. I understand it will be some sort of for loop to read each digit of the integer individually until something reaches 5. Something like the charAt() string method but works for digits.

For example server=foo;database=bar;uid=foo;pwd=bar I'd like something to return "database=bar;" using the 'database' key to identify it, ideally it would be case insensitive. I can do this using normal code, but I think that this is exactly the sort of thing for which regular expressions were designed.
