    Hi, I am using the Apache commons logging library and log4j to generate my log files. Now I want to create a new file every time I run my program. The current count should be appended to the log file's name. For example: program_1.log program_2.log program_3.log Do you know how I could achieve this?

    I have a View where I can upload an image and the image is also displayed in there like this: //ResourceStorage is a virtual directory that indicates to the pictures storage location <img src='<%=Url.Content("~/ResourceStorage/Profile/pic.jpg") %>' alt='pic' /> after I upload the picture, on the hard drive I get the new "pic.jpg" but in the browser I still have the old one (I tried clearing the cache, doesn't help)

    I'm trying to display an map inside an iframe that has a needle which on mouseover shows some information about a certain company, the thing is once you click the link the page opens up inside the iframe which ruins the experience, so i was wondering is it possible to make the links inside an iframe open up in a new window instead perhaps using jquery or something similiar? the code i have atm is http://www.jsfiddle.net/rkd59/1/

    I have a C++ program that takes user input for fopen in order to initiate a file write. Could someone help me find a function which will return a FILE* and use the Windows specific version of mkdir in order to create the folder structure for fopen to never fail to open a new file in the specified location because one of the folders does not exist.     I am having trouble uploading a large .csv file to my HIGHCHART graph. I've been able to graph an 85KB up to 1486 lines by 9 (I) columns.     I am adding SubSonic to a legacy application. This application already defines a ConnectionString. Is there a way I can use this connectionstring instead of creating a new Data Provider entry? I know that one solution is programmatically setting this in the code (i.e. SubSonic.DataService.GetInstance("Name").SetDefaultConnectionString("ConnString") ). However, is there a more elegant solution?

  • Python new-style classes and __subclasses__ function

    Can somebody explain to me why this works (in Python 2.5) : class Foo(object): pass class Bar(Foo): pass print(Foo.__subclasses__()) but this doesn't : class Foo(): pass class Bar(Foo): pass print(Foo.__subclasses__()) The latter returns "AttributeError: class Foo has no attribute '__subclasses__'" but i'm not sure why. I know this is related to old-style vs. new-style classes but i'm not clear on why that would make this functionality unavailable.
