  • Why did this new line just show up on my google maps

    i am using the google maps API (v3). I just realized that a new line showed up at the bottom of my map that says: Map Data 2010 AND, AfriGIS (Pty) Ltd, Europa Technologies, Inva, Geosysternas SRL, Maplink . . . . How do i get rid of this? Its longer than my map so it gets truncated and looks weird, is there any way to fix this (if there is no way to do #1)

    I am trying to write a recursive method to print n number of asteriks in a line and create a new line at the end. So, TriangleOps.line(5); would print ***** This is the code I wrote: public static void line (int n){ if(n>0){ System.out.println("*"); line(n-1); }} instead it prints * * * * * with a lot of space at the end. Can anyone tell me how to remove the line breaks?

  • New Replication, Optimizer and High Availability features in MySQL 5.6.5!

    As the Product Manager for the MySQL database it is always great to announce when the MySQL Engineering team delivers another great product release.  As a field DBA and developer it is even better when that release contains improvements and innovation that I know will help those currently using MySQL for apps that range from modest intranet sites to the most highly trafficked web sites on the web.  That said, it is my pleasure to take my hat off to MySQL Engineering for today's release of the MySQL 5.6.5 Development Milestone Release ("DMR"). The new highlighted features in MySQL 5.6.5 are discussed here: New Self-Healing Replication ClustersThe 5.6.5 DMR improves MySQL Replication by adding Global Transaction Ids and automated utilities for self-healing Replication clusters.  Prior to 5.6.5 this has been somewhat of a pain point for MySQL users with most developing custom solutions or looking to costly, complex third-party solutions for these capabilities.  With 5.6.5 these shackles are all but removed by a solution that is included with the GPL version of the database and supporting GPL tools.  You can learn all about the details of the great, problem solving Replication features in MySQL 5.6 in Mat Keep's Developer Zone article.  New Replication Administration and Failover UtilitiesAs mentioned above, the new Replication features, Global Transaction Ids specifically, are now supported by a set of automated GPL utilities that leverage the new GTIDs to provide administration and manual or auto failover to the most up to date slave (that is the default, but user configurable if needed) in the event of a master failure. The new utilities, along with links to Engineering related blogs, are discussed in detail in the DevZone Article noted above. Better Query Optimization and ThroughputThe MySQL Optimizer team continues to amaze with the latest round of improvements in 5.6.5. Along with much refactoring of the legacy code base, the Optimizer team has improved complex query optimization and throughput by adding these functional improvements: Subquery Optimizations - Subqueries are now included in the Optimizer path for runtime optimization.  Better throughput of nested queries enables application developers to simplify and consolidate multiple queries and result sets into a single unit or work. Optimizer now uses CURRENT_TIMESTAMP as default for DATETIME columns - For simplification, this eliminates the need for application developers to assign this value when a column of this type is blank by default. Optimizations for Range based queries - Optimizer now uses ready statistics vs Index based scans for queries with multiple range values. Optimizations for queries using filesort and ORDER BY.  Optimization criteria/decision on execution method is done now at optimization vs parsing stage. Print EXPLAIN in JSON format for hierarchical readability and Enterprise tool consumption.   • Tridion New UI Preview Site is not reflecting with the changes unless pulished

    I have new UI setup and noticing that when ever I update a page it is not refreshing with the updated changes. I do not see either the page_{sessionId/GUID}.aspx created either. Checked the session preview DB and I see the changes in PAGE_CONTENT table with new rendered content, so seems like session preview is working fine but the Preview site is not able to get the changes and refresh the UI. I have checked all the preview handlers and mappings for .aspx and made sure they are correct in web.config. Any thoughts on why the preview site not showing up the changes?     Really need some help with this one! I'm trying to send notifications from a canvas app using the new notifications API but I keep getting the following exception: OAuthException: (#200) Only web canvas apps can send app notifications However, the app IS loaded in the Facebook canvas -- I'm making an ajax call to my server when the user takes a particular action which triggers the notification POST request.   • NHibernate HiLo - new column per entity and HiLo catches

    Im currently using the hilo id generator for my classes but have just been using the minimal of settings eg <class name="ClassA" <id name="Id" column="id" unsaved-value="0" <generator class="hilo" / </id ... But should I really be specifying a new column for NHibernate to use foreach entity and providing it with a max lo? <class name="ClassA" <id name="Id" column="id" unsaved-value="0" <generator class="hilo" <param name="table"hibernate_unique_key</param <param name="column"classA_nexthi</param <param name="max_lo"20</param </generator </id ... <class name="ClassB" <id name="Id" column="id" unsaved-value="0" <generator class="hilo" <param name="table"hibernate_unique_key</param <param name="column"classB_nexthi</param <param name="max_lo"20</param </generator </id ... Also I've noticed that when I do the above the SchemaExport will not create all the columns - only classB_nexthi, is there something else im doing wrong. Thanks

  • jQuery tabs: Post previously selected tab when opening a new one

    Hi Having two forms, each in it's own jQuery UI tab, how can I post the form in the deselected tab when clicking a new tab? This I need to do to maintain state at the server side when the user navigates between tabs. I have looked into something like $('#tab-container-id').bind('tabsselect', function(event, ui) { ... }); but haven't found a way to get to the tab being hidden and post it's form contents. One way to set this up would be to enclose the whole tab set inside a form element that would be submitted whenever a tab is selected but I would rather have a form inside each tab, each with it's own action (that gets bound to different Spring MVC command objects). Thanks for any hints...

  • android: How to set a listener that fires when my ViewFlipper shows a new child

    Hi Android gurus, I have a ViewFlipper for which I want a listener to fire when the child displayed is changed. I have set an OnFocusChangeListener to the ViewFlipper but it never fires when I flip from child 0 to child 1 or vice-versa. The ViewFlipper contains two RelativeLayouts and I have tried setting OnFocusChangeListeners for those but I get a ClassCastException when I try to set it. Here's my code: RelativeLayout songsLayout = (RelativeLayout) findViewById(R.id.song_page_layout); songsLayout.setOnFocusChangeListener(new OnFocusChangeListener() { public void onFocusChange(View view, boolean hasFocus) { showPopUp("View " + view.getId() + " now has focus: " + hasFocus); } } ); R.is.song_page_layout is one of my RelativeLayouts and showPopUp() is a function I use to show, well, popups.     I am new to the RewriteEngine and have not been able to find an answer to the following issue. I run an ecommerce site with an ever changing catalog of product skus. Our URLs are dynamic. The question is, what if I want to have a dynamic variable redirect to a different dynamic variable. For instance, I want: http://www.mydomain.com/product.jhtm?id=12345 to now go to: www.mydomain.com/product.jhtm?id=78910 How can I do this through the .htaccess? Thanks in advance.

    Hello everyone I just read the new User fql table fields at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/user As I can see a lot of the fields have been deprecated such as work_history or books and movies. It is quite essential for my app to get all those fields for my user's friends in a single fql query. If i am not wrong the only way to do this is to get those extra fields using the Graph API by requesting them seperately for every friend of my user. Is there any way to do it in a more efficient way without so many calls? Can I subscribe to real time updates for the request fields for my user's friends (i do not care about the logged in user data)? Thank you a lot

What I'm trying to do is take a UIImage and add a shadow to it, then return a whole new UIImage, shadow and all.
